“It's a good accommodation.”
1. Price: The accommodation fee is quite expensive. Of course, one must consider the costs associated with the hotel’s location, but it is certainly not reasonable. However, it is worth the high price. 2. Friendliness: The staff are all friendly. There are more staff available than expected, which may sometimes appear as inefficient staffing, but if help is needed, appropriate services can be obtained. There are three to four people at the entrance on the first floor, three to four in front of the elevator, about ten in the lobby, four to five at the restaurant entrance, many inside the restaurant, one fixed at the elevator entrance for room movement, cleaning staff, one at the pool entrance, two inside, and so on; there are really a lot of staff everywhere. Although all of them are friendly, it seems that reducing the number of staff would be sufficient. 3. View: The river-view rooms, rather than those with a city view, will all have good views. The Oriental Pearl Tower is visible right in front, and the river can be seen flowing by. However, the exterior glass windows of the rooms are too dirty, likely due to dust and rain. 4. Meals: There are not many options available, and it does not seem to be of high quality. It is edible, but it does not seem to be worth 70,000 to 80,000 won for breakfast. Additionally, the staff working at the bread corner need to be more hygienic. It is shocking to see them touching everything while wearing gloves, then taking the bread with those same hands and placing it directly on the customers' plates. Training on how to use tongs is necessary. Moreover, it’s inappropriate that they put the spoon they brought into the yogurt intended for customers without asking... Though this was likely intended as service, it would be better to ask first before acting. 5. Location: It is a convenient place to move around using public transport, and restaurants and supermarkets are located in the same building, making it very convenient. It seems there is also a subway station right next to it, but I didn't use it. Just crossing the crosswalk connects you to the riverside and park, so it's very accessible for nearby walks. 6. Swimming Pool: Due to the cold weather, the outdoor pool was not in operation. The indoor pool is spacious, but it may feel cramped if many people use it. There are always two safety personnel on duty, so there will be no accidents. There is also a sauna facility connected, so those with enough time can enjoy it leisurely. Towels are provided in sufficient quantities, and there is plenty of drinking water available after exercise. I’m not sure about the swimming pool's water quality. 7. Room Service: There is no room service guide in the room. You need to connect the QR code displayed on the TV to your personal smartphone to check it via mobile; however, only Chinese service is provided, making it difficult to confirm. I requested it from the concierge and received a printed copy. 8. Hygiene: The shower in the room has a filter attached, but since the color hasn't changed over two days, it appears that the water supplied to the room is well-filtered. The towels are of good quality, and the bedding is neat. However, some dust is produced from the carpet. The general condition of the room’s furnishings is relatively clean. 9. Others: There is plenty of water available, and they respond sensitively to customer requests. Overall, they provide good service. I like the hairdryer in the room. They also provide small gifts for young guests. 10. Overall Evaluation: For travelers visiting Shanghai, this is a place that should definitely be considered for accommodation at least once. Solid.
