      lBreathtaking - highy recommended. Paradise!”

      Views, space, peace

This was a life changing experience. The lodge is spacious and the views are incredible...I could have sat on the balcony all day and not got tired of the view. The isolation is just incredible yet the service and friendliness of the couple was second to none. If we visit New Zealand again we will be returning and we would recommend it to everyone! Our children loved it too - the glow worms, stars at night, microscopes and rope swing ensured they were never bored.

      Idyllic secluded location”

This is a great property in a delightful situation, totally secluded and with lovely views and access to walks. Cindy and Rawiri are excellent hosts and are engaging, helpful and informative. The Lodge is well appointed and would work well for a couple, a family or a small group. A great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Stunning mountain view from well kept private lodge at a great price”

I would give this 6 stars if I could! This is a nature lover’s Paradise. The home is perched high up, surrounded by mountains on all sides with spectacular views of the surrounding valley and steep hillsides with distant pastures dotted with cows carved out of the forest. There are amazing birds and wildlife galore, including kiwi, glow worms on the stream bank just steps from the back door, wild goats and tree frogs singing their chorus and a sense of utter peacefulness. The only other building in the entire mountain valley is the owner’s home hidden down the hill and absolutely no light pollution. The house itself is equipped with a full kitchen stocked with supplies, a convenient gas fireplace for extra ambience, comfortable beds and every amenity. We could live there happily forever!

      A beautiful experience ”

There's so much to it. I don't know where to begin. Let's start with the place. It's beautifully situated with an amazing view of nature and the opportunity to experience it. The place is clean and spacious. The host, has so much knowledge and experience, you'll never get sick of her stories. She is also very thoughtful. We all enjoyed our stay there. So much my friend's sunglasses decided to stay there permanently. I would go back for a longer period of time as I only stayed one night. It's a great getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at this excellent property in an outstanding location with very welcoming hosts keen to share their garden produce.. While the furnishing is a little tired, it is like a 1980s show home with really high quality fixtures, fittings and furnishings - it was the owner's home. We were sorry to leave.

Erholung pur. Achtung: Anfahrt über eine s.g. GravelRoad, also nicht Asphaltiert. Vorher mit der Autovermietung klären.
