“Better experience than the Capsule Hotels nearby”

I booked a private room w shared bathroom. The shared bathroom the cleanest so far of my hostel stay in Sydney. The check-in gal was super duper friendly and felt at ease even though I’m over 50! The crowd is geared young but any age is fine. I heard little kids one morning. The washer machine costs $6 and detergent available in the lobby vending machine for $1. Much needed for those traveling for days. I cannot say much of the dining or other shared facilities but I think their are nice to have. Wishes for a rooftop deck or something. The elevator despite only one working was acceptable despite the place being full. The ac is controlled centrally for the building and windows don’t open. But I can sense air circulating in the hallway. Maybe bring a portable fan. One thing I recommend future travelers to bring is you favorite smelling toiletries, flip flops or thongs or slippers, extra long cords for charging your devices and disinfectant wipes. There are a lot of people on one floor and best to wipe frequently high touch items in your room and shared bathroom (door handles primarily). Train station is across the street, head to the bar/cafe if you want to avoid 3/4 steps to the place! Don’t lose the key and use it to use the elevator and enter the place after 10pm.

“A conveniently located backpackers for travelers.”

It's close to the central station and also near the tram. The bus station is nearby as well, which was nice. I chose this place after debating between Central YHA and here, and aside from the low percentage of Asian guests, it's excellent. Overall, everything is located higher than average. Like the sink...? Still, it's clean, spacious, and nice. However, I booked a four-person room but was given a six-person room and told there were no other rooms, which was disappointing. I'm a traveler anyway, and since I had already paid for the room, I had no choice but to use it, but why was the reservation open when the room I chose wasn't available? Nonetheless, my roommates were quiet and friendly, and the staff was fairly nice, so I was satisfied. I always have concerns about guesthouses, but it turned out to be a satisfying experience.

    “Enjoyed my stay”

This was my first time solo traveling and staying in a hostel and I wanted to make sure I got a good rated hostel to ease with my expectations. I stayed in the four bed all female room and it was very nice as we got to know each other quite well and staying with less beds also meant less disruptions. Everyone managed to fit our suitcases in the room which tells you how much space we had, as I know other hostels have limited space esp when it comes to suitcases since ppl travel with backpacks to those hostels. The only hostel activity I joined was the city tour but I’m glad I did because it helped make more friends to spend my last day in Sydney with :) I didn’t really get to use the kitchen as I didn’t need to so can’t say much about it but it seemed like people really made their own meals quite often. Toilets were spacious and fairly clean, I only had one time when I had to wait for the showers cubicles. Staff were very friendly and helpful and always promoting their events. Location was fabulous as it’s right next to central station and a walk away from darling harbor, hence why the price is more expensive than most hostels. Overall I think it’s a great place to stay if it’s within your budget and great for those who have never stayed in a hostel before :)
