Clean and quiet, spacious enough”
The room is cleanded everyday. Linens and towels are new and white, but the pillows are smelly. The comfort room is nice and spacious too, with bath tub, but there's no bidet. Almost complete facilities (hair dryer, cabinet, electric kettle, tv), but no refigerator. Location is good, 5 min walk from causeway bay mtr station, and to bus stops. It is located along the highway where you could find almost a lot of independent stores (watsons, miniso, park n shop, bestmart, 711) and restaurants nearby. (Kfc, mcdo and jollibee). Ten minutes away from the wanchai market). Staffs are nice but you cannot rely on directions, maybe because they speak very little english.
67 uSd not bad but no free water & older rooms”
Rooms and toilet are in need of refresh, scratches and streaks on walls/doors; floors a bit dusty in harder to reach places. Towels got worse each day of stay when replaced, started nice and fluffy ended up thin and with a hole but at least replaced daily. Basic soap, shampoo, toilet paper, toothbrush. No bidet vs other hotels in area. No free local calls in room where other hotels in the area lend you a handy cellphone with free mobile data and free local calls at similar rates. Previously they supplied bottled water every day, no longer. Smokers tend to hang around the outside of entrance waiting for massage on lower floor. Hotel is along main road near buses or tram but far from subway. Plenty of small eateries nearby within a block or 3. Fire station, bakeries, wet market (fresh fruits, veg, meats, fish, and takeaway roasted meats) and Times Square mall at walkable distance. They have a baggage holding area useful when they won't give late check out, sometimes can give 30 minutes
this s a basic hotel for just staying a few nights, no expectations beyond a bed, clean, and wifi that works. Staff is quite nice and helpful, very efficient. between Causway Ba and WanChai, can walk to most entertainment.
I arrived at the HK International Airport at 11 am. I took the free hotels shuttle bus H1 and stop at the Novotel Century Hotel. Walk around 5 minutes at the Hennessy Rd. Check in is easy. Got a map and straight to the room. Every floor has 3 rooms only, facing the street. Room is basic, spacious enough for 2 suitcases. No free bottle water provided. The wall need urgent painting. The bed is hard, air conditioning work very well. Staffs are nice.
Very poor, reception dont even bother to assist the guests in booking a taxi and help with luggages, no complimentary waterand coffee. WIFI very slow, carpets very old. Extra pillow smells bad and reception asked for deposit of $500 which it could have been used for other expenses
Room, furniture and carpet are bit old. Staff is not very friendly. Location is far from mtr station”
Air con in room is not cold enough. Lift is very hot n airless. But if you just need a bed and shower, it is okay.
Halal food, near to MTR , Tram and Airport Bus”
Nearer to all Halal food, Bubble tea, mall and public transport. Recommended for traveller with minimise budget.
Hotel has stopped many complementary items, like bottles of water in the room, removed refrigerator from room, no instant coffee or tea is provided either. Very uncomfortable steel stool instead of a chair for the desk in the room.
One night Stay”
Just used this hotel for one night stay at end of long stay in HK. Good location to Wan Chai nightlife but bit far from MTR. Rooms clean but slightly outdated and carpet means slight old smell but overall good value for money given location.
Great Value for the money”
Not close to the MTR but also not to far. Staff are friendly and helpful bed little hard. Good restaurants in the area close to shops bus and ding ding stop very near.
Nice hotel in WanChai”
Good room, and nice location. It is a few blocks from the Wanchai night scene, but very easy by the doubledecker tram right out the front door.
good in general”
only one part need to b extra careful. Always remember to put do not disturb sign outside the room if u wanna sleep longer... or else the cleaning staff will go into ya room w their spare keys for both lock
While location and price are excellent, they do not provide water bottles for free in the room, and some of the front desk staff do not fully understand English, making it hard to communicate. In my room, they had no chairs, only a small metal stoolm and no English channels on TV either.
Very strategic location in HK Island”
The location hotel just nice to all as below: 1. less than 5 minutes walking distance from airport bus 2. Surround with restaurants 3. Public transport (Tram, bus, MTR) are available 4. Very to shopping mall
Outstanding service! Great location!”
This is the best experience I've had with a 3-star hotel, the staff at the lobby were very professional and attentive. When we first checked-in at the hotel, we wanted to request for a room with a double bed but they only had rooms with 2 single beds left, and informed us there might be one available 2 days after (We were staying there for 4 nights). The next day, the staff actually took initiative and asked us whether we would like to take a look at a room that has a double bed. The room was smaller than the one we were currently in so we turned down the offer. Then 10 minutes later, he called again and said there's another room available and it's a slightly bigger room, he then offered to show it to us first before we made any decisions. There was no extra charge, so of course we took the offer. (I forgot to ask for the staff's name and I should've complimented him to his supervisor. My bad.) On the third day of our stay, we only went out for lunch and wanted to stay in for the afternoon. We didn't want to have our entire room cleaned out but just fresh towels and to throw out the garbage, so we called the staff and requested for just that. The staff informed me that the housekeeping staff were on their lunch breaks but would have them come over as soon as they are available. The housekeeping staff showed up in less than an hour (at around 3pm). Walden Hotel is a 3-star hotel, everything was neat and clean, but the service we got was 5-star, the staff did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed our stay there (which is very important, and to be honest, not many hotels nowadays do this). This is something I will definitely share with my friends and family, and will recommend anyone visiting HK to take a look at this hotel.
The Hotel is right in the Hong Kong, and can either walk to take any form of transportation to anywhere very easily, The hotel is fairly up to date, but what really sets it higher standard is the staff.
Best value for money”
I'm a business traveler and custom to big five star hotels. This is the first time I was staying at the three star hotel. Walden hotel proves that you still can get good value for money. I'll be coming back to Walden hotel more often in the future and highly recommend it to everyone. One word of advice, check out the rate regularly before you book since rate could vary greatly based on demand and supply. I got an excellent rate (around 60$) from Agoda.
Value for money with top service”
This is a marvelous stay in walden. It is located about 8 mins walk from causeway bay station and about 10 min from wan chai station. But along the way, there are lots of restaurants and services. Room is quiet and clean. Bed is nice and hard. Only thing was, if I was working on the desk, the AC is blowing direct that I had to wear winter wear just to stay there to work. All else, it is very good value hotel to stay at in hk.
Great stay at Walden hotel!”
Compared to the Hotel Bonaparte by Rhombus which I stayed before checking in here, their rooms are fairly big and presentable, much more like the stay I had in Macau. I was checked in to the 22nd floor to which there were only 3 rooms...wifi was alright as the speed was erratic and they had free wifi in their rooms. I was heading to Macau the next day and didn't want to put my things upstairs so they let it store for me downstairs(which was convenient for me as I did not had to carry all my things upstairs!)..Lobby was grandiously designed and seen from outside, Check in was fast and efficient as I checked in at 10 am and they had the room waiting for me already! Check out was also fast as I was heading to the ferry by 9 and they were able to check me out so quickly. I would definitely be staying in this hotel again!
Good and easy”
Good quality, easily accessed, centrally located, close to restaurants and shopping areas and good service with polite and helpful staff. Clean room though a bit small. Well, You just can't expect too much in Hong Kong in terms of space. It is convenient to get on any public transport to everywhere, as well as to the airport.
