This is the place to stay”

Service

we really enjoyed our stay at the waldo hotel. one of the largest rooms we have ever been in. the breakfast was also fantastic with excellant service not as a buffet but table service. the bed was very very firm but got used to it by the scond night. would always stay at this hotel next time we go to macau. the location is great being across the street from the sands hotel which is a great place to also go see. very nice front desk with very helpful staff. free shuttel to the dock to leave which is also nice.

Global Director”

Great location, friendly and very helpful staff, nice big room
English skills of some staff members can improve

We got nervous when we arrived at the Ferry station in Macau and took the hotel shuttle bus to go to the Waldo. Three times we were asked if we were going to the Waldo, not the Grand Waldo hotel. Did we not fit the profile? In the end a great hotel, modern, central friendly staff. We'll go back and hope the driver and his partner have more confidence in their own hotel.

very nice hotel - recommend it”

nice large room modern design large bathroom great service
no shuttle to Ferry

Stayed here for one night in August. Check in time is 2:00 but I arrived about 9AM. They were fully booked for the previous night but was able to get a room ready for me in less than an hour. Everyone there was very friendly. Breakfast was good, room service prompt. The hotel has a modern design. The rooms are comfortable and large. The shower is spacious as well. Highly recommend it. I've stayed at Emeperor, Golden Dragon and Rio Hotel in Macau and I like Waldo best of those 4.

Cozy hotel in the city”

Big room

i like the big rooms they the hotel offers. the hotel also subscribes to alot of cable channels which you can watch while your partner is having his/her bath. service was good too with a smile. the hotel is opposite the other hotel. although waldo hotel offers shuttle bus, i did not see the bus. i took the one that goes to the other hotel and walked back to waldo hotel. this hotel has some shops nearby. it is a pity that i did not have time to check it out. hotel is located in the outskirts of the town. you can actually walked to the st paul churh if you do not mind walking about 45 minutes. buffet breakfast offers two choces. chinese congee or american breakfast. i took the american breakfast which offers choices of pastry , bacon , toast and juice. the standard is quite good. the service was also good. when i asked the waiter for advice as to how to go to the lighthouse , he gave me details and also wrote down chinese name for me to show to taxi driver. the room is very cosy and big. however, the view from my room is not very good as faces the surrounding buildings.lighting in the hotel is rather dim. can't do much unpacking in the night.

Reasonably priced, comfortable stay”

Value for money, room design, proximity to pier

I recently stayed at the Waldo Hotel in a deluxe room. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and well designed. This is probably one of the cheaper hotels available in Macau. It is very close to the pier and walking distance to city center. If you are looking to stay in the Cotai area where the mega resorts are, this hotel is obviously not for you, but if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel that's walking distance to the historical parts of town, this is a good deal.

A lovely weekend in Macau”

Location, Clean Rooms, great Health Club, Friendly and attentive employees, love the concept, great Amenities in the Room, resonable prized.
Breakfast Buffet was not to my expectations and had limited selection when one is a Westener.

This hotel was recommented by a great friend of mine and it was happy to have agreed to it. Yes, there are many great and new Hotels in Macau but was I was looking for was a Hotel which had character and I was not disappearing in the masses. Great location makes this hotel a perfect joice and I would stay there again when visiting next. Just a 10 minutes walk brings you the Ferry to Hong Kong or to the center of the City...what else can you be looking for? Rooms had a very modern approach and I loved it....why not including free Internet access in the Room Rate to avaoid this extra hussle of getting an access code? Just a thought....still used it in any case. Thank you to the great Employees, Reception, Bell SService and Health Club / Spa was great. EEmployees in the Restaurant could be more active and the Chef for Breakfast was not always present...just a hint for some improvements needed. Ove all a happy customer who most certainly would return to this Hotel when in Macau next again and I have no hesitation to recomment it to friends here in Shanghai. Keep up the good work and success will be on your side.

Warm and efficient services ”

Spacious room with nice ambience

The rooms were large and the view of our room were the magnificient sea and attration views of the fisherman wharf. If you like to try out your luck at the casinos, Sands is just opposite of this hotel. Maps of different kind were also available at the counter for tourist. The famous senado square could be reached by foot within 15 to 20 minutes. If one is lazy to walk, taking transport of the taxi, charges are at reasonable cost. Staying in the hotel for relaxation, one would not get bored as the television channels reached up to fifty and over, a great entertainment at times when you don't feel like going out. Overall, the hotel though rated as 2 stars seen in the macau map, it is definitely value for money.

One of my favourite Hotels in Macau”

Modern clean and high quality
None

It is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. Although not is an ideal location for the main shopping area of Macau it is only a short distance to the Ferry Port. Being a modern new hotel the facilities and decor are of a high quality and the rooms are well appointed. Dining is again set in a modern style with the menu being varied and well prepared. An extremely good value for money hotel that I will always use.

Location and room size

great place in terms of location. close to attractions like fisherman's wharf, sands and even a shuttle bus away from the walking street in macau, as compared to the cotai hotels. great convenience at a value for money rate. the room size is also comfortably large with a reading couch, different from other hotel's basic room.

Comfortable hotel”

good size room and clean

The hotel offer good size room and a large shower room. As this time of year, Macau weather is still quite hot, the hotel air condition is working very nicely, fantastic! The hotel also has a nice size casino offering games with lower minimum betting limit, compare with major casino, but the choice of games are only two types: all bacarrat table with one Dai Sai table. The hotel front reception staffs are friendly and helpful. Will comeback to this hotel again, if the offer price is right.

Price versus room quality is great
Location

hotel is in macau across the road from grand lapa and sands casino. very happy with cleanliness , room size and service. staff were excellent and duty managers very helpful. while the location is not on the coatai strip i prefer macau itself and in macau everything is so close with a short taxi ride to anywhere you want to go. you can walk to wynn , mgm , la arc , grand lisboa , lisboa etc . am a regular in macao and stay often at hotels and will definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel for short stays”

Friendly, helpful people

A great Hotel, located in Macau City, easy access to the small town, and sightseeing attractions. Close by all the main Casinos and a taxi away to Taipa or Cotai. Excellent breakfast, good clean rooms with a big bathroom and shower. The staff were always friendly, and very helpful. The in house casino was the only dissapointment, but there are many other casinos in Macau!

Pleasant Stay to rest after an exciting day.”

Well kept and tidy rooms. Good service. Quiet place but not too far away from easy transport to Ferry and casino.

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood though its a short walk to Sands to take free coach transport to other exciting places of interest. This hotel fit travelers that use ferry to reach Macau. One BIG shortcoming is lack of wireless WiFi to keep us connected to our friends and family when we are in the rooms, coz they only provide LAN cables to notebook. Tourist will typically bring tablets, right. Overall, we like the atmosphere of this small hotel and look forward to a good night sleep after an exciting day and night in Macau.
