Great location for exploring The Blue Mountains.”
We found reception very helpful at all times. The breakfasts gave us a good start to the day. After a busy day walking and climbing in the mountains it was really good to come back to the peace and comfort of Waldorf Gardens well serviced room. The pretty village of Leura had everything a visitor would need. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We had WI Fi connection Visitors to Waldorf Gardens may find life easier if they have a vehicle
Very pleasant hotel with excellent breakfast”
Pros: Large rooms(serviced daily)with very comfortable beds; pleasant gardens and pool (billiards) for the oldies, table-tennis as well as pool (swimming) for the more energetic; quiet location for a good sleep; the breakfast is buffet-style, and very well stocked with both hot and cold choices; the hotel has no pool bar or ice-cream kiosk, which some may view as a negative, but our kids managed to have a good time round the pool sustained only by water, which was good for their bodies and my wallet; Leura is a lovely village and the Blue Mountains is a fabulous area which I would urge anybody to visit at least once in their life. Cons: The pool is very pleasantly situated but smallish for the number of guests; we stayed on a Monday and Tuesday in January - high season - but the hotel restaurant only opens at weekends; our air-conditioned family room had a separate bedroom which had no separate air conditioning.
beautiful resort.”
i had a wonderful stay with my friends! we were on a road trip and stopped over while visiting blue mountains. the resort was situated very near the lookout and leura mall where u can find food and amneities. breakfast buffet provided was simple but good . highly recommend !
Great weekend away at the Waldorf Leura”
We had a lovely and comfortable stay at the Waldorf Leura Gardens Resort. Staff were attentive and lovely. Food was delicious and well priced. Rooms were comfortable for a weekend stay. Location is perfect for families, close to everything.
Place of rest”
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, room was a perfect size, Catered for every thing a family would need etc bath tub and microwave, stairs and access was perfect. Location was short drive to Leura and Katoomba for shopping, dining, Close to freeway, Close to attractions. Scenery and landscape was perfect. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price, catered for all taste buds and staff managed the dining area in a superb manner. I know where I will be staying if I ever return to that area.
Great location but a bit dated”
We attended a wedding and booked an overnight stay in a deluxe resort room. The wedding in the gardens was beautiful and the canapés and champagne afterwards were tasty and plentiful. The wedding reception in the gazebo room was well catered and the staff attentive. However this open sided building was freezing, one side had clear plastic drops to keep out the wind but not our side. Once we'd had our mains all three tables on our end were vacated as everyone sought the warmth of a fire at the other end of the room. As for our deluxe resort room, that might have been an apt description in the 1950's but not today. A typical motel layout with your car at the door, tired furniture that has seen better days, a sagging bed, a small bathroom with cracked wall tiles and a shower over the bath. I think that the whole Blue Mountains area uses the heritage theme to cover up ageing infrastructure. Unless we are are unlucky enough to be invited to another function, I can see no reason for coming back.
very lovely hotel”
two kiwi nurses working in the outback in nsw and chose waldorf as our resort and was very happy with the room. the service was friendly and breakfast was yummy. very helpful in the tourist side of things and enjoyed our day of exploring the blue mountains. will stay again in the near future.
Comfortable stay with fantastic cooked breakfast”
We arrived late on NYE and were able to retrieve the room keys from a wall safe without much issue. The room was adequate and clean, and the king sized bed was just two single beds pushed together. Unfortunately the bar fridge was not properly stocked resulting my partner and I sharing the one light beer while we watched the fireworks. The cooked buffet breakfast was fantastic and being included in the price makes the cost for the visit extremely good value. The gardens surrounding the hotel are very well maintained and worth a look. I would consider staying here again. Note that although this place is listed as being pet friendly, there is a $80 cleaning charge for all pet stays which seems very hefty. This might catch some people out as I do not remember seeing any advanced warning of this during booking.
Good place for Parents with Kids if you visiting Blue Mountains”
Thank you for everyone for the support. We spent a fantastic night in Waldorf. It is a calm and quiet environment, but few minute driving to Leura town centre. Complimentary breakfast buffet also very good.
Excellent hotel, reasonable price”
we stayed as a family of 3 people in a two bedroom family suite. the rooms are nice and clean, there is a pool and gardens onsite. the breakfast is awesome. also there is a big and beautiful garden just 500 meters from the hotel. if you stay there dont forget to visit sublime point - it's amazing!
Short Stay”
Very nice short stay in this country side hotel, I recommend you to go to sublime view point which is close by to have a nice view on the blue mountains. Very convenient to visit the different sites if the blue mountains around and quite comfortable
Second time here”
This is our second stay at this hotel. Both times we have had a lovely room with extremely comfortable bed. The restaurant was great for our evening meal the food was lovely. Breakfast is good and in a lovely room overlooking the gardens. Staff were very attentive and friendly.
Nice, friendly hotel but a little remote from town”
we liked the hotel, but be aware that the restaurant only opens at weekends and that the town centre and restaurants are a good five minute drive away. bathrooms a little dated, but lovely enormous beds in refurbished bedrooms. breakfast excellent. pool was being used by ducks and spa was empty, but it was late november - the ducks were very happy! gardens magnificent, hotel well placed for all local attractions by car.
love the location”
this is the best motel in blue montain..from the day i arrive, the staff guide me to visit all the interesting places in blue mountain.of course =D the room wa big, with big bed, nice shower..and it is very calming..the view, the scenery, was very quiet. its the place to relax and enjoy the vacation. i really really really want to come here again.
Nice resort at good location...”
We only stay one night here and found that this "hotel" is very convenient and good location. Unbelievable that there is a supermarket "woolworth" in Blue Mountains. There are two streets where all the convenient shop and train station located. We love the weather and view of Blue Mountains... Everything is good but the hotel / resort doesn't have lift and it is not convenient for the traveler with bulky baggage.
Great location, ”
im suprised this is called a resort since its more akin to a motor inn. the facilities are very very very old. you probably wouldnt bother with the pool room table tennis room or pool. but since the lack of activities at night in blue mountains. you might find yourself down there finding that nobody else is there waiting in line. i stayed in the deluxe room. it was small and very old, there is a small balcony, heater, aircon and a small lcd tv.
great hotel with helps from staffs”
Nice cool hotel with nice free breaakfast. The staffs were great and the garden were filled with tulips flowers
Simple but accomodating place with friendly staffs”
we recently stayed for 1 night in resort room but being upgraded to deluxe room which is a bonus point for us. the room was a great size, it was clean and tidy. we didn't have any trouble checking in or out. breakfast was included in our price and they had a great selection with a good and friendly services from the staffs. our unit had nice balcony and was nicely decorated and fitted. very good cooked dinner can be obtain in the designated restaurant. unfortunately, the room was poorly soundproofted. slightly disturbed at night/ early morning by neighbour door opening and shower/toilet flusshing sound if you stay at ground floor. but overall we are happily to stay here again if we have chance in the future.
Great Resort in your staying in the Blue Mountains”
All up, we had a very enjoyable stay for the short amount of time we were there. Rooms were nice and relaxing, plenty of things to do on site. Secluded location which made it quite peaceful. Only downside for us was that, when we went for breakfast, the restaurant got a bit overwhelmed and didn't really handle the influx of people all that well and we ended up being skipped. All in all though, great stay and would definately recommend to those travelling there.
A great night”
It was a great place to stay, A few things that let the hotel down 1.0 Painting over moved locks. Debris was in the was basin after cleaners? The website advertised a spa but this was removed a few weeks earlier.
