Great hotel on the outskirts of the city”
The hostel rooms feel modern, recently painted and nicely decorated, beds were comfortable and shower was clean. Staff were really friendly, particularly the after hours receptionist
We arrived after hours, so it's nice to have a friendly face on reception when you're a weary traveller. The common areas were having some work done when we were there, which is great, as the common spaces didn't appear to be as nicely done as the rooms. There was a common kitchen on each floor, which we didn't use but it had everything needed to cook a meal. There's also a rooftop terrace. There were maybe 20 restaurants within 300m of the hotel with a good variety of cuisines. It's only a 15min walk to the centre of town. The only 'gripe' I had was the sewerage smell in the heat of summer. Although the bathrooms were clean this is where it appeared to be coming from... Perhaps the drains need cleaning. If you keep the bathroom door closed you can't smell it.
