Tranquil location on the riverside.”
The resort is remote (which suites us fine) but is well signposted from the main road. The room we had was spacious, clean and had a veranda with beautiful views of the river and mountains. We had taken our recently purchased inflatable boat with us to try out on the river and were very grateful to all staff who organised a driver to take us upstream to enable us to paddle back.I would recommend this resort if you would like solitude, peace and quiet.
Amazing location but poor food”
The location is just amazing! River view along with quiet and beautiful surroundings make this place perfect for relaxing. It' snot easy to find though and you need your own transportation and possibly a GPS or else you'll easily get lost in the middle of nowhere. The only negative note in my opinion is the food which is substandard and served way too slowly. The breakfast wasn't special but it was okay. In conclusion I would very likely stay there again to relax and enjoy the nature but I would definitely eat somewhere else!
Serene atmosphere, beautiful setting”
It was quiet and peaceful. I was the only customer that day. Only two staff, but service was good. Rooms very clean and nice. Staff fixed Thai food for me, even though I was the only customer. No other food is available here, so come prepared if you want something besides Thai food. Staff did not speak English. Since I did not have a vehicle, staff took me in a car to the main road about 3 km distant. Beautiful and peaceful setting on the banks of the River with a mountain backdrop. Excellent, I was very happy.
Wang Yai River Kwai Resort”
Our stay was superb. The view, the landscaping, the room comfort, and the general cleanliness were noteworthy. The staff is friendly, but only one spoke English fluently (which was fine since we spoke both English and Thai). The breakfast was acceptable, and the late afternoon fare we ordered was a bit slow in getting served but tasty and plentiful enough. A bit off the main road, but quite easy to find if using GPS; also, there were suitable signs. Bottom line is, if traveling south to north, if you hit the PTT gas station, you've gone about half a kilometer too far. One of the better 3 or 4 star lodging experiences we've enjoyed in Thailand over the past 3 years here!
First of all, the location is a bit hard to find, need google map since no eye-catching signage provided on the road. Moreover, no Wi-Fi in the room and daily room service. I need to ask for bottles of water from reception. However, its atmostphere is very good. Staff is very friendly.
A Gem of Hotel”
This hotel is a gem and I would not consider staying anywhere else in that area, now. I have stayed in several other hotels around Sai Yok, when acting as a 'guide' for family and friends visiting Thailand. The location is great (but you do need transport to get around) for visiting the Australian Hellfire Pass Museum, the Erawan Falls, the Mon Bridge, etc. The hotel landscaping leading down to the River Kwai is so lovely, the rooms are spacious & clean and the staff are great. Excellent value for money!
Nice and quiet location in nature surrounding”
the resort is arranged in a nice surrounding, very new and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful
Remote resort if you don't have own transport”
Without an own car the location is quite remote. We got the feeling we got stuck at the resort. The staff is friendly but hardly speaks English, so communication was difficult. The menu was complete in Thai, so it wasn't easy to order food.
The resort is nice, the rooms a bit boring but spacious. The staff is nice and helpful. Beautiful landscape but no access to the river - why?! They should provide a safe place in the river to swim or build a pool. No other activities offered. There is not even a restaurant, only basic BF provided. If the price would be lower it would be an OK place to stay though.
Serene place on a river”
Lovely place, nice rooms clean and spacious. Hotel on the river though you cannot really access river for a swim....river not really clear or inviting for a swim but gives a zen feeling. You absolutely need a car in this area and this goes for any resort here. Hotel reminds of Swiss chalets...very cute - I wish they improved breakfast even if for the benefit of quality only. If price is lower next time we d stay again (although no swimming pool)..we paid 3200 baht/night for family room. I d say the pool is a must as it gets really hot. (We live in Bangkok).
Near the river”
nice river view. Road to the resort is not good. but nice view.
Good hotel with River Kwai view”
The hotel is clean, staffs are friendly, the river view is fantastic. the hotel is quite far from main road (ard 3km.) but the road condition is ok.
Place to stay before our running event”
we've got a family room which fit all 4 of us. spacious room and bathroom. convenient location to the starting point of our running event during that weekend.
I got a sunset view room. It's a large clean room. Room price is reasonable. The way to get in the hotel is so trouble.May be it is suitable for people who using the car.
Great Place to stay and relax
Remarkable. The management is very helpful in booking private cars for site hopping as the destinations are really far.
Totally overpriced and overrated”
Nice location. Old style room without charm. Cheap breakfast and poor service.

Très accueillant ”
