Great inexpensive option to stay”

Cute b&b, which used to be an old train station. We had room 1, which was very large with A/C. Dog friendly place. Great breakfast . We stayed here during the opera festival and their room rates were excellent compared to hotels. Took a bicycle taxi to the castle and it was about 10 minute ride away.

It's an old building with a bit thin walls. Some rooms don't have private bathroom, so there is a bathroom in the hallway, which causes foot traffic during the night too.

I was pleasantly surprised, I was especially pleased with walking on the cycle path with beautiful views on my way from the train station to the hostel, which didn't last that long. The entrance to the hostel is on the side and it is located in the old train station, where there is also a flea market, it seems to offer a lot of activities, but I didn´t use them much in April. The host from the hostel was very nice and helpful, he made a luxurious breakfast, simple but tasty - I especially appreciate that he made it earlier than it is usually served, as I had to leave early the next day by train. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, I am satisfied, Savonlinna is a wonderful city, next time I would like to stay there longer. Definitely recommend :-)

I liked the location of Wanham Aseman Majatalo. I appreciate the staff, particularly Ella-Maria's kindness. I enjoyed the whole beautiful area of Savonlinna.

The bathroom could have been supplied with some mat next to the shower. I did not know one had to have shampoos brought over.

It could be better if the owner can create like a boutique B&B place.”

Location is good with nice view and the price is reasonable (60€ per night).

I slept for only 2 hours due to the fire alarm battery flatted sound. A common toilet and bathroom was in mess with laundary. A bin the toilet was full of rubbish. Toilet was uncleaned. A water hose in toilet was repaired with a duct tap.

The building really has potential and great location - very close to everything. Breakfast was very nice and staff was flexible with the time for breakfast so we could manage to get some before leaving early.

Lack of communication through booking.com, so it was a little confusing. I had to call to get access code, but if I didn’t have data options that might not have been possible:

Mid bike ride shelter on a two-day trip”

Reserved with only a couple of hours in advance and everything still worked out perfectly. Host and the brekkfast were 10/10. Extra bonus points because I could store my bike safely and dry my riding gear. Great value for money aswell, and the host even reduced the price since I booked accidentally for two although I was travelling alone.

A place for spending the night and having a modest breakfast before heading to sightseeing.”

The location was excellent for a bike user. It was close to the main sightseeing attractions and supermarkets. The breakfast was good, typical for a Finnish hostel. The staff was nice and the place was clean. The kitchen was small but well supplied with dining utensils.

The beds weren't very comfortable because the mattress was too thin and soft. The parking for bikes is on the street and it's quite old. It is not as mentioned in the advertisement a "secured parking". The fridge is very small, if many people are staying at the hotel it could be a problem.

Chambre vraiment trop petite pour un couple. Chambre n°4. Une seule chaise pour s'asseoir pour le petit déjeuner dans la chambre. Et pas de table dans la cuisine. Le prix est trop élevé pour la prestation

Bon emplacement, calme et à distance piétonne du centre. Le déjeuner était bon : un type de pain, du salé, du sucré, yogourt, les boissons habituels. Le rapport qualité/prix.

En hiver, ce pas évident de trouver l'entrée, un panneau plus visible aiderait. Les draps sont un peu usés comme la chambre (mais ils étaient en train de repeindre), et la salle de bain est un peu bricolé, mais tout à fait utilisable et bien pour le prix.
