Warrumbungles Mountain Motel

I left after the first night of my 3 night booking, that I had paid for. The room was for a group not one. It was shabby, smelled bad and the carpet was dirty.

Not really Coonabarzbran....”

Peaceful, large room

Hard to find hotel from agoda description, might be great for s camp or group activity bug as an overnighter was a bit inconvenient. No air conditioning.

Best place to stay”

Lovely staff, beautiful property setting, peaceful and tranquil

It was great. Close to Warrumbungles NP, Observatory and Town. The property is well maintained and large with pretty gardens and wildlife. It was also good as we could have our little dog with us. We had good home cooked food as well as delisuos breakfasts. If traveling, this is a great stop over or stay longer. We are definately going to go back.

Friendly staff and big rooms”

cost, owner, location

They have a pool, 1/2 tennis court, 3 hole golf course but all are run down and not in use when we visited. I got the feeling that the owner, who was very friendly, is working on improving the facilities and it could be a great family place if he does succeed. The rooms were big and ancient but clean. Beds were uncompfortable but it wasn't expensive so we didn't expect much. Some nice touches like packet of biscuits with the coffee but as we were desperate for a coffee there were not enough sachets for one when we arrived and one when we left so a few more would have been nice. It was just a stopover on our way up to Brisbane and was enjoyable.
