Wonderful hotel, staff, location and value”
I'm so pleased to have found this hotel. It's tough to find a good value in the Downtown area. The staff was warm, welcoming and efficient - always ready to help. The room was clean and beautiful and the bathroom offered the most well-organized shelving and a great shower that I think I've ever seen, even in much more expensive hotels. The bedding was comfortable, the temperature and fan controls were easy to operate, the room was quiet and the wi-fi was simple and free. Convenient walking distance to many great sightseeing locations and great restaurants - and close to the metro as well. I can't say enough good things about The Washington Court Hotel. I look forward to staying there again! My only suggestion for improvement would be to add some wattage to the lighting in the room. The bathroom was super bright - perfect. But the rest of the room was a bit too dark for reading and work. This is being very picky though - everything else was wonderful.
Washington court is very nice hotel.Room is fairly clean except a dirty vents inside the bathroom and dust on the door frames. It would be nice if they have their own parking lot right outside their building. The room do not have a microwave and a fridge but we manage to get used to it. Over all our stay in the hotel is excellent. We would definitely come back at Washington DC and stay at Washington Court again.
I really enjoyed my stay in Washington Court Hotel. The hotel is near to Union Station, where you can get on a metro to other parts of DC. The hotel is also near the National Mall bus line, which is free, to take you to the main areas of National Mall. The hotel is really nice, with all the basic necessities needed in the room.
Love this hotel”
staff at Washington Court was the best. They were all friendly and tried to make you feel comfortable. The free coffee to start each of my work days in DC was good. Room was big, with comfy bed and pillows. The bathroom was huge and well stocked with soap, shampoo, and lotion. I love this hotel.
The Hotel is situated in an ideal location for tourists just a ten minute walk to the station , I was happy to see bottle water in our room on our arrival but disappointed to see on my invoice when checking out that we were charged highly for it , no notice saying that it wasn’t complimentary also we only used one bottle but was charged for two as one was still in the fridge. A brilliant Hotel for a wonderful stay in Washington.
Very quiet room less than 5 mins walk from Union train station”
The location was very good. Close to the train station from NY, and room was very large and quiet. Would have liked to include breakfast in our stay, however. This was not given as an option. Staff were helpful and friendly, though hotel rate was high, as with most hotels in Washington. We enjoyed our stay as we could walk to most sights and train station. TY to all the staff who made ourstay enjoyable. :D
Location is pretty good, right next to Union Station which has the local metro line, Amtrak and bus terminal if you travel here from out of town using those. It is also located 2 blocks away from two free buses called circulator lines where one line goes straight to Georgetown and the other is a line for going around the National Mall - which takes you to all the Smithsonian museums, Washington monument, Thomas Jefferson Memorial etc. Also about a 15-20 minute walk in the other direction towards Capitol Hill, Supreme Court building and Thomas Jefferson Building/Library of Congress. Room and bathroom were nice and clean. I guess one of my only issues is that the walls are extremely thin and I could hear the guy in the next room coughing and it was really loud when someone closed their doors to leave their rooms. I am fortunate that during my stay, I didn't have anyone nearby that was too noisy throughout the night/morning.
The Washington Court Hotel is a very modern hotel which was recently updated. During our stay, they were continuing the updates with new digital card scanners for room access. Each room also has a tablet, with all the ability to order room service or any maintenance request or room service. The gym was okay. They have a great selection of dumbbells but the machines are older. No pool in this hotel which was disappointing. The location was slightly out of the way of the main downtown tourist area. It was directly north of capital so an easy walk. Resturant selection around the hotel is limited, but I would highly recommend The Dubliner. There is a homeless shelter near by, but never felt unsafe.
I love this place. This is the second time in a year I’ve stayed at this property and it was an excellent experience both times. The quality for the price was very impressive and the staff is attentive to your needs. The location is walking distance from the capitol, most monuments. and Union Station. I will continue to stay at this location when in D.C.
the hotel is a 3-minute walk from union station and 15-minute walk from the capitol. lobby looks fantastic for this price range. room is big, airy, and well-decorated with warm earth tones. tv is big and room also comes with iphone dock which i like. bath room is reasonably sized and much better decorated than other three-starred hotels we've been to. the water faucet is hard to use though (be careful not to turn it too much to the side - the water is boiling hot), and toiletry selection is rather sub-standard. dining is good, nothing fanciful but not bad either, albeit a bit expensive. staff service can be better. bellman doesn't bring my stuff to my room, nor did he my friend's. receptionist can be rude, but as i didn't have to deal with them that much it's fine. maids a overzealous (she wants to clean our room at 9am, and when we told her we didn't need it she came back again at 12pm), but they are genuinely nice. overall, for the location, the room, you can't beat the price (night)
A hidden gem in the heart of the tourist attractions with excellent service!”
I live in the city and booked this hotel at the last minute due to renovations at my apartment. Initially, I only reserved it for the price, but I was surprised to find that the hotel was only a few blocks from the White House and it was in such a nice location! Upon check in, I spoke to the front desk representatives Alain and Simon Attaghba. They were so sweet and accommodating! When I told them that I was going through renovations at my apartment and was only going to stay a day (and was very tired), they made sure to make my day count by upgrading my room with a panoramic view! I even heard them speak to another customer and list all of the attractions in the local area that I didn't even know existed! And I've been in the area for years! There are so many restaurants and attractions within walking distance that I made sure to take advantage and became a tourist that evening! Alain and Simon were even sweet enough to follow up with me to make sure I enjoyed my room.
Would highly recommend! Best hotel yet”
Pros - The cleaning service is very good. We’re pretty neat people but it’s nice when you can tell the bathroom has been cleaned, the shower handle looks sparkly upon every return. The room service breakfast is divine and super convenient for those who like to sleep in and may miss breakfast outside the hotel. I love the tablet for searching for activities, ordering room service, and scheduling cleanings. It’s really a steal. The location is perfect. Uber rides never cost more than $14 and we went EVERYWHERE in DC. The staff is friendly. Overall it was the best hotel experience I’ve had. I plan to stay here again. Cons - Absolutely none. You get a huge bang for your buck, in my opinion.
Outstanding on all levels”
Excellent. The hotel is spotless and consistently maintained to stay that way. The room was large and the bed exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was large and it also had a separate shelf for toiletries - that was so useful. Most often one has to battle to get two sets of toiletries right next to the faucet and hope they do not get splashed on each time the faucet is used. All staff were polite and friendly when encountered at any given time. If there was one recommendation that I would make, it would be to have a mirror somewhere in the bedroom for females to dry their hair/put on make-up in front of. Our room, a fabulous corner room, did not have one. The bathroom mirrors were fabulous, but if someone was showering, it meant the other person had to go into the bathroom if she wanted to dry her hair/put on make-up at that time.
Amazing view large rooms, great price”
The cheapest in town for the nicer upper hotels. We paid $199USD and our room was huge. The shower was double head on each end, perfect for couples, great tv channels, very clean and modern, lobby wa huge, nice bar, they have break restaurant below, our view was of the capitol, it was amazing, the hotel staff were lovely. It is walking distance to things (20mins) to mall (capital end). Don't valet park there though, it was about $30-40 for one night plus tax which was ridiculous.
Excellent Independent Hotel”
Chose this hotel based on the price and ended up having a wonderful stay. Location was perfect, food in the restaurant and bar was great, service top notch, and staff extremely accommodating and friendly. Definitely going to stay here again.
I was unsure that it would live up to my expectations.... It did. Great place. Very clean. ”
Staff was very helpful. Restaurant and bar associates were fantastic. Loved my room. My only complaint(not a huge deal breaker) was the water pressure. It was lower than I am accustomed to. Will definitely stay again and recommend.
Location, price and room were all great! Very comfortable, very clean and friendly staff. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming into DC area.
This hotel was a great value in a great location! Their restaurants for breakfast and dinner served me well. Good food at decent prices. I would highly recommend!
Very pleasant stay all around!”
We recently stayed here for the Cherry Blossom Festival. The staff was super helpful and attentive to our needs. We loved that the hotel was also close to Union Station, the Capitol, and the Newseum. We got a good, discounted rate through Agoda, and then the receptionist gave us an additional discount when we arrived. The view of the Capitol building was a bonus. We knew the walk to the Tidal Basin would be long, but we got to see everything on the Mall on the way there. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay all around!
Great Hotel, Great Location ”
This hotel is in a great location within walking distance to The Capitol area. The room was very spacious and quiet. The staff were all excellent. We also had a very nice meal in the restaurant downstairs. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
