Very good service”
Staffs can speak English. Breakfast was very good with great variety. The room was a bit old but clean. The hotel was in a very good location, in a walking distance to Huis Ten Bosch. We could see the beautiful firework from our room. Most of all, we were impressed with the service. At first, we got the smoking room. We told the staff that our child was allergic to smoke from cigatette and could get asthma attack. The japanese staff was very kind to us and change the room to a non-smoking room. We were really appreciate her help.
Top notch level of service and great location, great breakfast buffet selection and great view scenic views. We stayed during the colder season, so there's no AC and we had to open our windows but it was explained properly by the staff. Few steps away from Huis Ten Bosch and also, alot of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby Would stay again!
For Theme park goer, a must!”
Somehow, we managed to snatched the room at a bargain price, so it’s really worth every penny. It’s inside the theme park, at the Harbour Gate (which is the inner most section), so you must take a shuttle bus (the pickup spot at the entrance is quite easy to find) - be careful of the bus schedule though, the last service comes as early as 6pm or 7pm depedening on weekday or weekend. Our room is located on the 6th floor (uppermost floor ) with window facing the lake (absolutely nice view). The room is very large. The staff are alll very nice. So there is really not much for us to add here. Only that you should plan your time well if you decide to stay here. ( taking into consideration transportation time from JR, to shuttle to the hotel)
best hotel for those who cant afford staying in the hotel inside huis ten bosch”
old hotel..the furniture looks old..but still comfortable and clean..the cheapest hotel in huis ten bosch area..others are way to expensive..behind the hotel has a beautiful scenery of huis ten bosch lake
Twin room suitable only for 2 adults. Not recommended for family with 2 children as it is too small. We had to pay extra and upgrade to a family room with 4 beds. Breakfast cost at Yen2400 per adult slightly expensive and spread of western and Japanese was acceptable. Buffet dinner at Yen3500 per adult was ok. Main dishes were good butthe beef steak was too chewy and the grilled fish too small and dry. However the desserts were good and compensated for the main dishes.
Good but quite expensive”
Quite expensive for 1 night. Room was clean and compact. We included dinner/breakfast in our booking. So we had it and have to say that it was quite good both dinner and breakfast. Not so many varieties of food. Mainly Japanese and some western style food. The place is next to sea and near shuttle bus into the park. It's quite worth value for the price we paid. For convenience and comfort, I would recommend it.
Nice hotel in the park”
Very nice hotel at the back of the park. You have to park in front and shuttle into hotel thru theme park, which is nice. Walking distance to park and evening diner in the harbor zone at the park is nice.
- Hotel Staff will ask you whether we would like to upgrade to a better room by paying some extra; - Polite and warm service; - Hotel is located inside Huis Ten Boch, there is quite a big area with shopping, restaurants and entertainment facilities between the hotel and the paying area;
Good location, helpful staff.”
Convenient to go to Huis Ten Bosch thr Harbour Gate, game museum. Helpful expatriate staff at conceirge. Room is a bit dusty, especially near the window & on headboard. Sufficient choices for breakfast but Agoda plan only incl'd breakfast for adults, not for kid.
quite good, comfortable place to live”
but a little bit dark in the room.
One of the wonders of the world!”
Wonderful place, good affordable food, and exceptionate service!
Qualified and great option in Haus Ten Bosch”
Very scenic and good cuisine not only in breakfast but also in dinner Good location for enjoying town
good service. friendly staff”
This was our 1st hotel in Kyushu. We are pleased that one of the guy at reception spoke english and answered all our qns esp on carpark as we drove in to the front of hotel. Staff was very helpful and went extra miles for us. eg. They drove us in their van with our 5 luggages to the hotel carpark as the luggage delivery service is not ready at 8am. We are happy hotel is just next to harbour gate of Huis Ten Bosch. Guests have discounted tickets to park. Kids really love the hotel.
Very pleased with this hotel. ”
This is our first hotel out od our 13 days in Kyushu. Location is great. Just outside of HTB and we've the room facing the jetty. Room size is big. A slow and pleasany walk to the side gate into HTB. Parking was confusing but maybe because the compound was huge. It was late and dark when we reached the hotel. The security directed us to another carpark which was rather far, even by wheels. We were lost and returned to the same gate. The same security uncle recognised our car and without asking us further, he directed our car to be parked by his guard post and went off to make a phone call. (He can speak limited English). The next pleasant thing was a shuttle van came and the driver directed us to follow his van. He drove and led us to the main carpark which is not very near and then shuttled us back to the hotel. This is the extraordinary service I hardly experienced elsewhere other than in Japan. Eateries are just steps outside the hotel. I would recommend this hotel. Location is superb and the price is reasonable.
Best hotel in Huis Ten Bosch”
As we know that Huis Ten Bosch is a theme park. so hotels around the park are euro inspired. But Watermark looks more legit for me. as they dont wear fancy costumes. I was been upgraded to a harbor view room. Coz i requested for a smoking room. the room is big. (japan standards) fancy. and elegant. the only problem is that they dont have an airconditioning system during winter. so they asked me to open the windows instead. but it was freezing outsite. The hotel is right next to the theme park and you need to pay for an entrance fee if you want to go inside the park. The dinner buffet is really good. Full pf choices. in a reasonable price. if i can remember it was ¥2500 per head. The staff are very accomudating and I was surprise that they are good in english. (people from the front desk) They even have a free private shuttle van if you want to go somewhere with in the area.
Inside Huis Ten Bosch and cheaper hotel”
Located near Hotel Europe but much more lower price. Upon arrival in Huis Ten Bosch Station cross the bridge to the information office to wait for the red bus for complimentary shuttle service going to Watermark Hotel. Walking distance to Huis Ten Bosch park from the Harbor point side. Watermark hotel is infront of the sea with very nice view for some peace and quiet. If you have bought the park ticket, dont forget to take the boat near Watermark Hotel pier for some sea excursion and some fresh air. Watermark hotel offer dinner buffet for ¥3500 per person. if your accomodation is without breakfast , there is a nearby restaurant but opens at 11 am. our favorite was the Tonkotsu Ramen, very famous in Japan because of affordable price and tasty ramen.
easy access to theme park but car park far away”
location very near to the park and the newly opened game center. the hotel location is not easy to find. Once we successfully drive there, the staff said we cannot park the car park in front for fee, if we want free parking we need to park far away and take the shuttle back. At last, we pay for the parking( the car park nearby) instead of far away. I think this is the bad point. Aside from this, everything is fine. really friendly staff there
friendly staff and good location to the theme park”
hotel room is spacious and tidy despite the uncontrollable air-condition. Really easy access to the theme park. it will be better that it has its own car park. The car park nearby is just for guest of the restaurant. If you go there and stay for one night and want free parking, you need to park far away and take the shuttle bus back to the hotel. This is i think ridiculous and very inconvenient for car rental travelers especially in rainy days. So we just park the parking in front of the hotel and paid $2000 yen for parking.
Very Near Huis Ten Bosch Park”
This is an older but well maintained hotel in Sasebo Nagasaki. Price is a bit expensive and you're really paying for the location only. Rooms are spacious but decor is quite outdated and doesn't have a modern feel. But its ok since we spent most of the 2 days in the Huis Ten Bosch Park. We arrived via the JR Huis Ten Bosch Limited Express from Hakata Station to Huis Ten Bosch Station. From Huis Ten Bosch Station, there is a free shuttle bus to the hotel. The Park Harbor Gate entrance is just a 5-10minute walk from the hotel's rear entrance. Between the hotel and the park, there are already some restaurants which you can access. The only negative thing is the early check out (11am). But overall, can recommend this hotel since its very near the Park.
Beautiful Hotel and Staff”
We loved every minute of this hotel. The style is beautiful and unique. The location is on the harbour and next to the village and the theme park. Easily one of the best places in Japan. Staff offered to run us to the shop when we were ill at 1am in the morning - so friendly and helpful. I would stay here again without a doubt.
