"It's not the easiest hotel to find even though it's tucked away between Watford and Rickmansworth, however the welcome is lovely , with a receptionist who will check you in and then show you to your room. My room was comfortable and exactly as I expected. Once you find your way around the hotel ( there are well signed short cuts) you start to feel at home. The spa and pool is a must. If you play golf, they have their own course (I don't). The restaurant is more of a carvery than a Buffett with an impressive choice. Service is not quite 5 star, more 4.5 particularly in the lounge, where the 'manager ' tried to keep the tables empty for afternoon tea, from lunchtime. Don't like having to argue to sit in a lounge, so my lite lunch became a pot of jasmine tea. The bar was lively at night and the service very good. Overall a very nice stay but I wouldn't have been so happy if I had of paid rack rate instead of agoda's reduced rate."

"Hotel was friendly and clean. Bed was comfortable, but bed settee was not. Breakfast was OK, not a bad choice on the buffet. Very near to Watford Junction train station, and so close to bus to the Harry Potter Studio Tour. If you wish to stay outside London centre, it is reasonable, but make sure you get the 'Fast Train' to Euston, otherwise it is 18 stops and over 45 minutes"

"Lovely room and hotel. Staff were helpful upon arrival but the room was for 2 instead of 3. Soon sorted. Breakfast was good but staff looked bored and were chewing gum paying more attention to one another. The pool is small but was warm and a bonus. Grounds looked lovely It cost £10 in taxi to get from Harry Potter studios as a couple of miles by road not 0.4 miles so we couldn’t walk as expected. The room was modern and had the comfiest beds so brill nights sleep. Overall a lovely hotel and location. "
