Wellawatte hotels & accommodations
Booked through Agoda wherein wifi was complimentary but hotel staff insisted on charging for the same, they came to terms only after much persuasion. The apartments are well located on Galle road, close to all major attractions. The staff is friendly & rooms well maintained. The only downside was their travel desk manned by Mr. Pervez who is full of lies & miscommittme...
The hotel facilities and other staffs were very nice and helpful. But upon arrival and check in I guess due to misunderstanding receptionist on duty keep insisting we didn't do the booking but we got all the details. We waited before we've check in around 30 mins. Weve done the booking and recieved confirmation via agoda and booking was done by their records via book...
They had to move me to another hotel when we arrived as the booking was mixed up by the computer. I found the staff extremely accommodating. however we had to wait for the apt to be cleaned. it was still pretty dirty after it was cleaned. Although it was a good value. . .we were happy to escape the next morning
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Sapphire Hotel in Wellawatte, Colombo, and will choose it again for my next visit. The room was nicely clean and tidy, the service at the restaurant as good and the food was tasty. I speacially appreciated having some vegetarian dishes on the menu.
The hotel, its in the city in front of the main road. It was not noisy at all, i stayed in 302, was not noisy, room was small, spacious for 1pax, bathroom was clean huge and shower with hot n cold water. The hotel has elevator to access, friendly staff, easy to find taxis and autos/tuk-tuks. Room got AC and a fan. Being a 2 starit met all the requirements. Plz dnt comp...
I stayed here at two different times in April 2016 and think it's the best place to stay in Colombo. The room was clean, bedsheets and towels were clean and the bathroom was also super clean. Centrally located in Wellawatte. Great stay. Only cost me 80 US $ for 4 nights..
We stayed in a number of hotels in Colonbo but this was the best. The staff were fantastic, great location, good food options, large rooms and value for money. We will be back here everytime we go to colombo. thanks to the fabulous staff at Omega. You always put a smile on our faces.

we stayed there for 3 nights, we booked a suite, but first we offered a small room in a 3 bedroom apartment. and informed us we can use the kitchen. The room was small and felt that it was not what we have booked. asked the guy what it is, he replied are u ok with this? Since we have already paid i said "Yeah" it is OK. he opened another door from the 3 bed room apartm...
Problems with Electricity on the first night but was solved after sometime. Main issue is that although it is the norm in Sri Lanka to charge extra for the utility bills, it should have been mentioned before the booking was made. At the end we end up paying as much as we would to a 4 star hotel.

The major issue with my stay was the lack of a working lift – we are a family of 5 with 2 parents 70 years and older. The lack of a lift and the fact that it was not working since the night of our arrival meant my elderly parents had to climb and descend 5 sets of flights a number of times during the stay. Furthermore we have 6 pieces of luggage which we had to manuall...
