Bad location and staff”
Located in the middle of nowhere. Staff were rude. Reception and dining area closes at 10 pm and staff turned off all the lights and chased guests away, which means there is no access to the beach after 10 pm.

Inconvenient location”
This place was very quiet with its own private beach. It is located away from nightlife and noise. But if you prefer a quiet and relaxing stay, this place may suit you. However, the location was inconvenient as it was a long walk, about 20 minutes, to get to the nearest convenience store and cafes. Pool was filthy and had algae growing inside, turning the pool water green, like a fish pond. Basic toiletries not provided either.

Dirty, no soap anywhere”
We stayed 6 nights. Hotel could be much better if the owner took better care and spent some money on cleaning and upkeep. They do not provide soap in rooms or hotel toilet (where cooks and tourists go) towels smell dirty. No blanket or top sheet on bed even if you ask, only a very ratty and old brown thin terry towel for blanket. pool filter is never on, water was not clear. Beautiful views from villas. They also rent fan bungalows which are in a gully, crowded side by side and facing each other. Dark and ugly.

pretty good”
We stayed in the "poolside" and "seaview" rooms for a total of 7 nights. Poolview walls are extremely thin and can hear as little as coughing from neighbours, but a very convenient position obviously immediately at the pool and near the restaurant. Seaview room was a newer, standalone bungalow, but the sea view was only enough to justify the name. The staff were very friendly, helpful and unobtrusive, but bordered on lazy - toilet paper was to be replenished yourself from a table in the restaurant. The location between Haad Yao and Haad Salad is great, but a scooter is necessary to take advantage. The access road is unpaved which is something that could be improved on - we were lucky to avoid rain which would have been tough to negotiate coming and going. Would stay again but not long term.

No hand soap in the kitchen?”
Quiet beach, friendly staff, pool
Our poolside room was tidy and in decent shape-not as nice as the pictures though. I think those rooms are overpriced for what they are. The property has been renovated in the last few years and new bungalows have been built. The condition of the rooms and bungalows can vary significantly based on their age. My main complaint is the complete lack of hand soap at the toilet (that the kitchen staff use) and none that I could see in the kitchen. I asked the staff about soap and just received a shrug. This isn't uncommon in Thailand (at cheaper places), but isn't acceptable for a place charging resort prices. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part, so I can't fault them for this. Hygienic conditions must be established by the owner/management, and they have failed big time in this respect. The food was decent, but more expensive than nearby Haad Salad. The beach isn't swimmable at low tide due to rocks and coral, but the pool is a good alternative. Unless you're staying put, a scooter or car is important for getting around.
