The Z Hotel Trafalgar

"It was a while ago that we visited but we loved the atmosphere and the staff at the hotel - rooms are small but well appointed and its a very good location. We like the way the Z Hotels are run and they are being very accommodating about changing the bookings because of the coronavirus crisis. We will be back!"

Hotel Cafe Royal

"This hotel is one of London's best. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms stunning and the staff are helpful and friendly. It is very difficult to find any areas to be changed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience five star service in central London."

ME London Hotel
West End Soho,West End Soho - View on map
"It was the perfect romantic break from first stepping through the door we felt like VIP's. the hotel was very secure the staff were perfectively attentive. The bedroom well what can I say but "wow" the bed went on forever and was the ultimate in comfort, as i do love my high thread-count sheets though this is the first time I've had them even though I've stayed in 5* hotels before. The heating, lighting etc could be set at whatever you chose with an easy to work gadget on the bedside wall. We didn't use the hotel facilities at all but for no other reason than we went out early in the morning and didn't get back till late so too exhausted to try, it was our first visit to London so did all the touristy things but next time we come back, and we will be back to the ME hotel then we will try the hotel facilities. Best break away I've ever had."

The Savoy Hotel
West End Soho,West End Soho - View on map
"When we - two 17 year old girl friends - arrived by taxi, doormen took care of our luggage and somebody from reception welcomed us in the doorway and showed us to the room, where we could check in. All staff were attentive and friendly, the hotel looby, restaurant and bar are really cool and we had one of the best breakfast ever. Room is big and very nice. The perfect base for shopping/sightseeing and in the evening very close & safe to return to from the theaters in the west end or clubs. Only the price is very steep - once a year thing to do..."

Corinthia Hotel London

"I've been a loyal customer of Sofitel st james for years now, so when i first booked at corinthia, i was afraid it wasn't going to meet my expectations. however, when I set foot at corinthia, I was relieved my decision to try your hotel was correct. Being in the hotel business, i am always very attentive to small details which are meticulously taken care of at corinthia . overall, i would say your hotel is definitely one of the finest London hotels."

The Z Hotel Piccadilly
West End Soho,West End Soho - View on map
"I have stayed at the z hotel Soho many times, and was looking forward to my stay at the newest location Z Piccadilly. The hotel was very nicely done- clean contemporary and spacious, I liked the open layout of the reception/dining area compared with the soho hotel which is very cramped. As always the staff were so friendly and helpful and charming. Rooms were perfect- more spacious than the soho hotel with a better configuration. Beds were comfy, linen was of high quality, air con was super efficient, tv selection was very impressive. Shower was great. Piccadilly is such a fab location, we walked everywhere from shopping to restaurants to theaters. As always a fantastic value stay with the z hotel. We will be back soon "

Courthouse Hotel
West End Soho,West End Soho - View on map
"The Courthouse Hotel is conveniently located in Soho, and just a few minute walk to West End. Staff was pleasant (and helped me print a document I needed). There is a reputed nice rooptop bar - but at our checkin, we were told we would have needed reservations in advance for the bar. Rooms were cozy but with charm. Our only unsurmountable problem was with the air conditioner. The room would not cool below 74 degrees (23.5 celcius) in June (it was much cooler in the lobby as well as outside in the early morning, but windows wouldn't open). For most, this is probably acceptable, but my family likes to sleep cooler. Phoned for maintenance twice - and they could not do anything - I believe it's their standard. Unfortunately, for this reason alone, we would not stay at this hotel again. "

More about West End Soho

Famously, the most expensive square in the Monopoly board game, Mayfair includes Bond Street, Regent Street, Jermyn Street and part of Oxford Street. While less grand, Marylebone, to the north of Oxford Street, is home to many attractions such as Madame Tussaud's, the Sherlock Holmes Museum and Regent's Park.

While Bond Street is synonymous with luxury goods and auction houses, Oxford Street is home to both the Selfridges and John Lewis department stores. The intersecting Regent Street houses Hamley’s toy store, the largest in England, and the famous Liberty department store. Saville Row and Jermyn St are renowned internationally for their bespoke suits and tailored shirts.

With a number of lakes, an open air theatre, and various sporting activities, Regents Park is an open space very popular with Londoners. On Sunday mornings, impassioned orators can be heard at Speaker's Corner, across the road from Marble Arch. The London Zoo is situated in the northern part of the park.

The lifelike waxworks of Madame Tussauds are located together with the London Planetarium on Marylebone Road. Meanwhile, galleries such as The Royal Academy of Arts and the Wallace Collection display some of the world's finest art collections.

While Mayfair and Marylebone has some of the grandest hotels in the world, synonymous with ornate décor, afternoon tea and Michelin-starred chefs, the area also has a surprising number of moderately-priced accommodation options available. The district’s abundance of tube stations mean that it is extremely easy to access points of interest.
