Strategically located hotel”
The room was spacious, clean and well-maintained. The location was excellent as many buses, even free shuttle tourist buses that ferry you around the place are available at the bus stop right outside the hotel. Being 5 minutes away from Puli Winery makes this highly accessible for non-driving tourists who come from Taichung. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but it is not of concern since one would be very busy sampling the array of Taiwanese food around the city. All in all, absolutely value-for-money and worth staying at.

Even morning or night staff extremely helpful and frindly. Whatever we ask her for help they will patiently explain to us. The room is huge near Puli brewery and bus station. Will come back stay again.

Wonderful Staff and Cleanliness”
Stayed for 3 nights with my family (2 kids), mother-in-law and sister-in-law. The staff have been extremely helpful in arranging for transportation, washing collection (from external), directing us towards buying night snacks etc. Room facilities are new though simple. Breakfast is simple but the cooking staff have been equally helpful in handling my kids with their request for eggs. A simple and modest town with great staff from the hotel.

Couldn't be better”
They have improved their breakfast service. Instead of breakfast boxes delivered to your room as they previously did, they now provide hot basic breakfast at a dining facility just 1-minute walk away. Room is very big and very clean. Totally exceeded our expectation and is far better than the hotels that we had stayed in Taipei and other big cities.

Nice and easily spotted hotel”
The hotel is very cozy and nice and clean. The room is big and comfortable to stay. The breakfast is normal but you need to walk out of the hotel to a small restaurant beside to have your breakfast. Overall i love this hotel and would come back to stay again.

Puli Stay”
Pleasant stay at West Hotel. PROS: Good Location, Friendly and helpful staff, especially the reception lady during the day. CONS: SGD 100 is too expensive, a better value would be around SDG 75. Breakfast is disappointing.

Newly renovated hotel, big and comfort room. High speed Internet access. Hotel doesn't have canteen nor dining room. Breakfast was bought from outside by hotel staff.

overall is ok ”
Overall is okie for staying one night in Pu li, but due to the weather is very hot at point of time that we went, i felt the room air conditioning is not functioning well, it took a while to cool down the room temperature, besides this point, this hotel is quite good, for the breakfast, they helped buy from outside and deliver to my room, not much varieties.

The room was clean and comfortable. Well laid out. The staff were able to recommend a good restaurant nearby. Facilities are limited, but if you just want somewhere for a good nights sleep then the hotel has everything. Breakfast was just a sandwich and drink from a local shop. I would stay again.

Our stay was in Nov 2014, I guess the hotel is quite new, everything is big and clean. The purple building really stands out from the surroundings. I like that the family mart is just across the road. We can walk to nearby eateries, some of which are famous and shown on tv programmes before. eg, umbrella shop and noodle stall Breakfast was ordered in and taste good.

Good place for stopping before going up to the mountain ”
It is much cheaper to stay here than staying up in the mountain. Also there is free car parking. Yes the breakfast is simple but there are other food shop round the corner. Also very quiet. Maybe you will find it weird the lift is outside but is ok for me.
