"The accommodation was good. Comfortable and clean - which is why I booked there a second time. I have no issue with the accommodation itself. The issue I have is with the response I got when I arrived for a second visit and was told that they were fully booked for the type of suite I had booked and the booking should never have been allowed. The person I spoke with was less apologetic to me and more concerned that the booking had been allowed via Agoda at all! I am sure I filled in contact details when I booked online and was surprised that the motel had not tried to contact me to explain the situation before I arrived. Nor had they tried to contact Agoda to find out what had gone wrong. Instead I contacted him later in the evening to let him know that other websites were also showing available units of the type I had booked, so the issue was not solely with Agoda. They could have (and should have) checked this out themselves - and contacted Agoda to sort it out BEFORE my arrival. "

"excellent fan heaters heated the room very fast, thank heaven, because it was a frosty night. unfortunately they turned the sleeping blankets on for us, which we hate, but i'm sure most people would have liked that as an added plus! old style motel which was clean and had fresh coat of paint, curtains, etc. tv & fridge in the room, cooktop & microwave, so you could easily stay there for a week. yha double room was nz$54 in comparison. has a human life-size chess board you can try, plus a pool. don't think they have a restaurant so didn't eat there but had to give food/dining a mark below to submit?"
