          4 Totally Relaxing Days”

          Quietness. Restful. Comfortable

A short boat journey from San Carlos takes you to the island and then about a 10 minute motor-tricycle ride to the resort. Has about 17 rooms/bungalows but only 6 other guests there during our stay. Stephan, the German manager, was very hospitable and a perfect host; and along with the staff, made us very welcome and comfortable. All the other guests were into diving, so that left us the resort to ourselves during the day! Resort is set in huge grounds and has a lovely pool (beach not suitable for swimming off); well equipped gymn(if you can be bothered} and plenty of relaxation huts for reading in. Quality of food is very good and reasonably priced considering their are no other restaurants around! Rooms are well fitted and quite comfortable. Electricity is 24 hour from their own generators. We would certainly stay again and enjoyed our time there very much

Great resort for a relaxing getaway”

Definitely one of the nicest resorts I have visited in the Philippines. The accommodation is spread around the attractive gardens, together with games facilities and a swimming pool. The island location (easily reached by pump boat from San Carlos) creates a relaxing away-from-it-all atmosphere. Our deluxe room had no TV, reinforcing that feeling, but there is free wifi for those who insist on staying connected. We loved the restaurant, attractively decorated in a filipino native style. The menu is extensive, portions are large (western rather than filipino size) and everything we tried was good. Prices are fair too. The staff were friendly also. What more can I say - we would love to visit again, strongly recommended. One word of warning. The hotel does not accept credit cards, so remember to take enough cash to settle your bill for meals, etc.

          Amazing island getaway”

I have visited quite a few resorts and this one was nearly ideal at a reasonable price. It offers many things to do and a beautiful setting with multiple unique and very nice pools, dive facility, zoo, free bikes to ride around the island, and much more. It doesn't have much in the way of a sand beach but there is a long pier with steps into the water to swim and snorkel. Be sure to plan to leave for Sipaway Island from San Carlos by the time the last shuttle boat leaves at 6 pm. Even with 4 days I didn't have time to try every experience they have to offer. Clearly I need to come back again.

Superb resort in an extraordinary setting”

Well trained staff, EXCELLENT food and service, European quality at Philippine prices!

This resort was constructed to European standards with German attention to detail. There was nothing in the entire resort that was not "first cabin" in quality, service or design. The staff cheerfully provided exceptional service, especially the "wait staff". Management of the facility was excellent and attentive without being obtrusive. The level of quality and service would do credit to any "high end" cruise ship experience. In summation, there is absolutely nothing about this resort that does not quietly shout QUALITY! Highly recommend the Whispering Palms Resort.

Animal Menagerie - Laid Back Resort in North Negros”

On a trip back from Cebu to Dumaguete, I decided to swing by Sipaway Island to see what's what. I'm glad I did — Whispering Palms is a well-run resort off the beaten path. Sprawling property, Dr. Moreau's collection of monkeys, birds, and a crocodile. If this is along you itinerary, definitely pop in for a relaxing few days.

Views, food and people who work there. A place to relax.

A quiet, beautiful place to spend a few days. No other resorts nearby, so enjoy the sea views, eat good food and relax. Clear seas. The transfer in was enjoyable - cross by boat from San Carlos, and a ride along country tracks in a small van . Friendly manager and people working there.

Big improvement over my first visit, nice blue water but bad rocky beach needs Sand !! ”

I previously visited whispering Palms back about 5 years ago and my experience was horrible, a close friend of mine fell broke her arm and injured her tail bone on the Slime covered sidewalk going out to gazebos in the water. No one at the site offered us any help or concerns including the staff, management and the owner on getting her off the island to the hospital, even though they claim to have a lifeguard on duty , there was none.. This trip was a lot different, the slime has been removed and the place was tidy and clean, staff was a lot friendlier and helpful. I spoke with a manager and he insured me it was safe now and the staff was all trained in first aid , even though he never showed me any documents proving his claim and I never saw a lifeguard after two days. The rooms were nice and clean, the mattress was about 3” foam and uncomfortable, the A/C worked good and to my surprise it had hot water in the shower food was below par and pricey Needs sand on The beach

          interesting resort”

this is a rather strange resort. we took a basin fan room which was perfectly adequate. lovely soft towels. there is a fair bit to do at the resort (pool, table tennis, darts) and two pools. you can snorkel from the pier but when I tried there was limited visibility due to wind. I have read adverse comments about food prices. you have little choice but to eat at the resort restaurant which is slightly more than mainland prices. my meal bill for 2 pax X 4 days was PH6,000 which I felt very reasonable we booked for 2 nights and stayed 4.

Sipaway is little island and WP resort is hidden on the edge of it. It's very nicely done resort, with two swimming pools and lots of stuff to entertain both adults and kids. Rooms are nice, food is good - I really have nothing bad to say. Oh and the WiFi is surprisingly good too! Diving in the area is really nice - definitely above average for Philippines.

          Great for the family!”

Sipaway Island has a great resort with great service, good food and clean everything. A mini zoo and 2 nice pools for the kids. The ocean is a little rough here but the water was clean and nice at high tide. Bring water shoes as the coral is rough on your feet. Beautiful patios overlooking the ocean top off this very enjoyable resort. The owner is friendly and helpful as is the staff.

          Your own private island”

The swiming the diving and the relaxation

I enjoyed it at first dont seem like a place to snorkel or swim but after going on the disocery dive i was snorkeling in those places and it was nice saw didnt seem alot of sea life but saw more there snorkeling then i did in boracay and that kinda the reason i like to go to beach. The rooms at night is interesting turn off the lights or the bugs will find its way there but stayed in many tropical places so its kinda what we expected but a bug net over the bed would of been better. I did the discovery dive and it was awesome i wish did it sooner the instructor was patient and very helpful and explained and taught me what i needed to know and help give me the confidence. The locals on the island were awesome and friendly no worries about not feeling unwelcomed although when first arriving the boat that gets you there carry your own bag and ask a local what they paid if dont want to pay extra but for most its a matter of few dollars.

          Food. Location. Relaxing

This was our second time here and we find the resort very relaxing. The food served here is excellent and not overpriced considering there is nowhere else to eat on the island. The accommodation is comfortable but could benefit from a little maintenance and repair. Overall though, it is very pleasant and most people go for the diving.

Every aspect of our stay was superb. The only non 5 star thing was that the pier where you land has incredibly steep stairs and no railings. Totally unsafe foe anything but mountain goats and young Filipinos. This is probably way beyond the resort's control, but maybe Sipaway Island folks can make some improvements there. The room was nice, The food was good. Our lunch portions were big enough for 2. For dinner we split one entre and had extra rice. More than enough. If you or your companion like SMAB, bring your own. They don't have it. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Considering so much of this resort is open air, they do a good job of keeping things up and clean. The resort has many amenities, as well as things to do and see, Even have a small zoo on site, artwork everywhere and a great restaurant with well trained staff. Can't beat it for the money. Feels like home”

          Friendly staff, convenient facilities, comfort

I enjoyed my stay there, although it was only for few days, I started to miss the guys. It has German quality with a touch of Philipino attitude. The staff managed to create a home for themselves and thus sharing their home with guests. Thus feels really nice. I would definitely advice it to my friends who want to stay in a good resort doing absolutely nothing except rading, sunbathing, diving, and drinking. The location is quite distant from anywhere, so to get there is a sort of a hassle. But if you ar not a budget traveler, you ask for the transfer, which is still a hassle though as you need to change transport at least three or four times - bus/car, ferry, boat, car/jeepney. But once you've made it - take all out of it. You will pay extra for add-ons to your stay such as coffees, dinners, drinks, massage anyway, because you won't get anywher else on the Isla, because you need it. Overall, it is good. Especially just married, family with kids and bunch of friends should concider it as perfect location to enjoy time together.

it was peaceful, the staff were helpful, nice location,,pity no beach

Had a relaxing time, very quiet, was given a bigger room when the generator failed, that was fixed quickly. The staff were very helpful, there are free cycles to get around the island, and the diving team very helpful and patient.
