good experience in White Chalet”
We were here for hiking and sightseeing in Chamonix. We could park in front of the Chalet, by car it was easy to get to Chamonix. The train station and bus stops are near, but they don't run very often. Room was very clean, light and big enough, but there was no hair dryer.(I always carry my own anyway.) A railway is near the room, it didn't bother us at all. The woman in the Chalet was very friendly and kind and I could easily communicate with her in English. The breakfast was ten Euros and I was satisfied with it. I would visit here again, if I go to Chamonix next time.

I would not come back”
Close to the train station and bus station, it's a beautiful house, nice views
I travel a lot. When I arrive at a hotel or guest house I expect a "Hi, how are you? Did you find it well? How was your trip?”. Our welcome was: "your card didn't go through so you need to pay”. Yes, I will pay. Can I put my bag down al least, go inside, away from the cold? It’s full of snow here. I did not feel welcomed. They were nice and let us check in before 5pm, which we highly appreciated. We only had to wait around 20 minutes for our room to be ready. They made us wait downstairs, at the ski lockers and exit. Personally, I did not feel welcomed again. Why do we have to wait down there instead than at the nice living room I saw? The room was nice and clean. The lady taking care of the house didn’t speak English. Only Russian and French. But she was nice and she tried at all times to understand. We had our own food as we had been already a week in an apartment in Chamonix Centre. We asked to use the fridge but they said is not allowed. Ok, no problem I put it on the window. It’s cold outside anyway. Then we tried to connect internet. It was not working. Password not working. They claimed it was working. It didn't connect on my laptop or iPhone. Then we went to the living room to eat our own food. No. Is not allowed to use the living room’s eating table for eating your own food, only for breakfast. They said we have to eat in our room. They can’t lend plates or cutlery. We decided to eat outside to avoid confrontation. At the end of the day I am on holidays, I don’t want to argue with nobody! At night we came back and decided to eat in our room. We had also bred and I didn’t want to leave breadcrumbs everywhere, so I asked for something to keep the room clean. The lady kindly gave us plates and cutlery as I explained that otherwise all the room would get dirty. The other guest appeared happy and enjoining their time there, so you may enjoy also. I did not feel comfortable and welcome, so I am not coming back.
