Great location, more for party people”
Hostel is very well located, plenty of food choices around and shops, less than 10 min walk to the Pub Street and not even 5' min a nice and very cheap food market where you can get plates for $1.5. The hostel is clearly more targeted to party people, the common area is all about that, the pool is nice, the music too and not too loud, they stopped by 11 which is pretty decent for those that want to sleep, they serve drinks and food, not too pricey and the staff there tries to engage people with the vibe. They also have very nice discounted tours to the temples that everyone was buying. Where the hostels falls is in the rooms, clearly old and things are broken or damaged, nothing horrible but it definitely needs some investment, they barely have common showers or toilets and the room had both in the same place so if anyone takes a shower everyone has to wait, also there is no "quiet area" if you want to seat or need a quiet place with your laptop, reading or whatever.
Service can be improved ”
A pleasant place to stay in, with a small pool, ample seats around the pool, a pool table, a bar where you could order drinks and food. The double bed room is small but cozy enough to sleep. The downsides are that the private bathroom was choked. Water flowed very slowly and filled the shower room to the brim after showering. It took like more than 10 mins to drain off the water fully. Spoke to the counter staff that we wanted the room to be cleaned on the 2nd day and handed over the key to him in the morning. Also told him the bathroom was choked. When we returned from our sightseeing in the late afternoon, the room was not cleaned and the bathroom continued to be choked. Guess he was too busy and forgot about it. It's very hot and dry season in February 2019. Bring insect repellent and even mosquitoes coils. If not you would be bitten by the ferocious mozzies in the room and that could affect your sleep.
We had an amazing time at White Rabbit. The decorating and ambiance of the pool/lounging area make it hard to want to leave, although the location is close to everything you could need for when you do. The staff is wonderful, will make sure you have absolutely everything you need, and Tommy and Max made us feel like we were part of the family.
Amazing place and amazing staff! We hang out there for about two weeks as it’s so good! Lovely swimming pool and good food!
Everything just great ”
I booked 2 nights in this hostel and ended up staying 4 nights because I like the place, near to pub street and night market, and have pool. If you are traveling solo, this hostel definitely worth to stay.
Lovely clean hostel, friendly helpful staff would definitely recommend
Great place to stay”
I loved this place.. perfect for solo traveling. U meet some great people here and the ambience is beyond good. Max is a great guy and very helpful
Worse place I have ever stayed in my 40+ times in Asia”
Pro'.....NONE whatsoever Con's......Too many to mention but the ones I do have are the loud music in the mornings whilst most guys are trying to sleep. The total disrespect of other people. Dirty and not clean at all.... The toilet bin wasn't emptied when I got there, it had food waste in it and toilet roll. There was no respect for anyone at all at this place. This has got to be the worse I have ever stayed in Asia. An I have stayed in Asia not far off 40 times in the last 10 years. Disgusting place and would not wish any traveller to stay here. I have photos which would not do this place any justice at all. If I could add then I would. Rod
Memorable time at a cool party hostel.”
First a warning - this is a party hostel, so if it's a quiet place you're after, this isnt the place for you! If you're interested in meeting cool people, fun activities, and partying into the night, White Rabbit could be right up your alley. The owner Max picks great staff who foster an awesome hostel experience, and the facilities are good - especially the pool! Definately a great place to stay in Siem Reap, especially for social solo travellers.
A party hostel where if you don't join in with the party activities you're not part of the group.”
The room we stayed in was fine, but very loud music from 11 in the morning to 11 at night. Booked to stay 3 nights but only could handle the one, I think the sound of a couple having sex in the room above me was the final nail in the coffin, they tried to do it discreetly... Not as I thought they were gonna come through the floor onto my bed.
Do not book bus tickets or tours through the hostel! ”
We had a nice stay at White Rabbit. It is definitely intended as a bit of a party hostel so if you want to get up for sunrise at Angkor Wat I wouldn’t expect a good nights sleep. It tends to be pretty noisy with music and then drunken people stumbling back. The pool is nice but freezing. Location is good. A short walk to the night markets, river, and pub street. Absolutely don’t book tours or bus tickets through the hostel. Tuk tuk tours can be gotten much cheaper elsewhere and the mark up on buses is insane. We paid about double for our bus by booking through the hostel. Bit of a sour taste after an otherwise nice stay.
Such a happening hostel! There's an event everyday and you'll rarely be bored! ”
The staff are super friendly and the rooms were always kept very tidy and a clean up happened every morning. There were volunteers as well and they were unbelievably friendly and make you very comfortable and included in all the events. You can be left alone, if that's your wish, it isn't a compulsion to participate in the events as well. So, something for everyone one. The pool was really nice as well and cleaned everyday. I did get bitten by some bugs on one of the nights but they immediately did a fumigation, so it worked out well. I highly recommend this hostel, hope I can come back someday!
It's mainly a party hostel, with a bar, a pool, drinking contest and night bar tour. Bed are comfortable with curtain, bathroom in the dorm in correct. Notice the music until 11pm and sometime other people come back by night with a bit of alcool but i didn't have any problem. It's clean and staff is friendly
All in one stop ”
Could have definitely got stuck here with this place having everything you could possibly want! Perfect combination of chillin and drinking with other beautiful people from around the world. The location is close to everything you need from markets to shops to the pub street. Staff were also very welcoming and the hostel was always clean!
the hostel is nice, clean and the staff is super friendly. the food is good also. some lunch pack can be prepared for Angkor wat trip. btw, if you want a quiet and relax place, it's a bit hard. it more around party and music until 11. the room was nice, bed too and bathroom is more then correct
Great location, close to everything in the city but not too busy. Really cool vibe, staff were really friendly and helpful with advice and tour bookings. Bed was good and the room and bathroom was clean. The pool was so good. Nice food, especially liked the vegan menu. Loved the eco-friendly initiatives.
Great spot near town. lovely pool and hanging pods. pool table. lots of spots to escape and hang out. goid foid and great staff. Had such a good time there.
Great place with wonderful quirky artistic aesthetic!”
White Rabbit is a visually stunning place. So amazing to be struck by the wonderful aesthetic - very arty. Very unusual for Asia I think. Each room has distinct quirky decor. We stayed in a crazy pink room called "It's a Plastic World". We loved this artistic energetic aspect of the place. The place probably suits 30-something backpackers best, as it plays pop-type music at a reasonable level nearly all day. We are 40+ years-old, and found it ok in that regard. It was not a 20-something boozer backpacker while we were there, so that definitely suited us!
Great place to stay in Siem Reap”
This hostel has a great ambience. I stayed in both a private room and a dorm. Both were clean. The restaurant food is excellent and the staff really cares you enjoy your time.
Only stayed for one night last minute as we decided to come to Cambodia one day earlier and our original accommodation was fully booked. Rooms (or at least ours) were very cramped with no space to put your luggage, definitely trying to squeeze in too many beds into one room. Only sink in the ensuite bathroom was blocked and overflowing the whole time and none of the staff seemed bothered about sorting it. However, well located, good shower and common/ pool area seemed sociable. Based on our experience not sure if I would recommend to others.
