White Sand Beach hotels & places to stay

the hotel is located in white sand beach which is the best place to be in koh chang, the staff is very nice and polite, and they will help with anything you need, they do not know the word "no". at the moment this is the best place on white sand beach, but they are building a lot of new places... the only thing, but it apply to all the hotels, it is that if you want breakfast you need to be there by 10 am (early..). listen- it is not like a fancy place, but it is a great value for your money!

The resort is located north on White Sand Beach with a large 7-eleven store next to the resort with many restaurants, shops, spas along the beach road. We stayed in a sea view grand deluxe room. The balcony had a Jacuzzi and 2 beach chairs. The room was spacious with a comfortable oversize king bed. The large walk-in shower had hand held and overhead controls. We had an excellent view of the gorgeous swimming pool, grounds and White Sand Beach. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious with many Western and Thai dishes. Eggs made to order. I enjoyed the pancakes and waffles, hot tea and coffee. There is ample outdoor seating (right on the beach) and indoor seating in case of rain. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately manicured. The sea side swimming pool is large with a swim-up bar and also a children's pool. There are saunas and comfortable lay-down beach chairs. Large beach towels are available in your room. You can enjoy lunch and dinner pool side. During dinner, there is live music supplied by a beautiful Fillipino lady and a key-board player. The beach is wonderful and the water is free of any foreign substances. There are 3 swimming pools at the Hillside building. The roof top pool provides a great view of the beach and the hotel's seaside facilities. The roof top pool has Jacuzzis on one side of the pool and also a swim-up bar. There is a 3 story water slide here. There is a spa at the hotel but we choose to go to massage places along the beach road. This hotel has everything you need for creature comforts and the section of White Sand Beach at the hotel is simply fantastic. I believe this resort and spa should be considered a 5 star property. Would definitely recommend this resort for couples and families. Enjoy you visit here.

It can be pot luck sometimes choosing a hotel online in a place you've never been. We are frequent travelers to Thailand, and Grand view resort was a wonderful find. Its just at the end of White sands beach, but that's perfect if you want something a little quieter. You can swim straight in front of the hotel, restaurant has lovely food, and reasonable pricing for Thailand. Breakfast was always great. Facilities were good. Easy access to ATM's, 7/11, Supermarket across the road, "night life" only a few mins walk if you like that sort of thing. After touring all over the island on scooters we quickly realized this was the best hotel and in the best location on the island. We will definitely come back again, because 2 weeks wasn't enough.

We've just had an amazing 4 night stay at The Erawan Koh Chang and would definitely recommend it. We booked a Deluxe Sea View and from arriving on Christmas Eve, to departing on the 28th December, our stay there was perfect. The hotel is in an ideal location in White Sand Beach and great for touring the rest of the island. The facilities are really good and the pool/sky bar have amazing views, especially at sunset. These views are not to be missed! Another reason to stay here.......the staff! They are the most welcoming, professional and friendliest team we have seen in any hotel. Every single staff member had a smile and a greeting at any point, day or night and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to Henry Lim, General Manager and the team at The Erawan. Finding a hotel for new years eve that wasn't extortionate in white sand was hard, came across this finally which hasn't got the best reviews. Getting dropped off by the ferry taxi at the top of the steep hill we thought o no this is miles away from main area, but actually only 5/10 mind still along the beautiful beach. I had booked a garden view hut which turned out to have a lovely beach view aswell and walk way straight onto the beach. The hut itself was ok comfy bed and bathroom had a few ants but nothing awful. The balcony bit looked over onto the beach. The beach is stunning and one of the best bits of white sand beach, the hotel has chairs for the beach for free ( they also float in the sea) breakfast was buffet style with fresh eggs omlettes and waffles. Definitely would recommend staying, the only thing missing is a pool, but right on the beach you can survive without one.

Banpu is a good hotel. Rooms are VERY clean, the staff is attentive and helpful and the restaurant is good. So why, then, do I feel so little enthusiasm about writing this review? The hotel did all it was supposed to do - but I wasn't thrilled. Balcony views of the sea (which are only available from 2nd floor rooms) were obstructed by the bungalows in the middle of the complex. Very hard and uncomfortable wooden chairs on the balcony didn't invite lingering or evening cocktails. The breakfast every morning was fine - some dishes were even excellent (Tom Kha soup!) - but it was not inspirational (and we had to send back omelets all the time for being under-cooked... enthusiastic chefs, I guess). The best part of the place were the chaises arranged beneath some lovely trees with perfect views of the small white sand beach, unfortunately you had to be up early in the morning to stake one out (by placing a towel on it) and if you were late, well tough! We did observe one amusing, if slightly disturbing, near-brawl between two female guests - how about a few more chairs?? This hotel is at the very end of the White Sand Beach so there wasn't very much beach at all most of the time (we were there during very high tides at the new moon) - but a very pleasant stroll will get you to more beach-y sand if you need that sort of thing... I was quite happy parked on my chaise in the shade!! Would I recommend this place? Yes - so long as you don't get up high hopes for a truly romantic get-away. There are a couple bungalows which look VERY nice (number 101 and 102) which are slightly away from the center of the complex, and they have private balconies which open directly onto the beach. I'd definitely spring for one of those if I were going again!! (all the other bungalows are on the footpaths to the hotel, so sitting on the porch is a public event)

Location of the hotel is a short ride from the ferry. The area in which the hotel is located is the best place I would stay just out of convenience to eateries, shops, 7-11 and massage parlors. Also to my knowledge this is one of the few hotels on white sand beach that actually has beach property to bask in the sun and sip drinks. The bad thing is this hotel is right next to the Sabai Bar club which has a live band that thumps loud music until a little after midnight. If you get assigned a room on that side of the hotel plan on going to bed after midnight. Wifi sucks in the rooms. I had to go to the lobby or to the coffee shop across the street to get a good strong signal. Considering there's not much you can do during the periods of torrential rain down pours, you would want to have a strong signal in your room to pass the time. Oh, because it rains be prepared to be eaten by Mosquitos at night. The hotel does nothing to mitigate the mosquito population. Surprised there is no Denghe fever there. If you're into seclusion than book a stay at one of the other hotels away from white sand beach. Breakfast at the hotel is mediocre, pretty much same menu everyday. Dining at the hotel in the evening should be done once. They set up candle lit tables on the beach but the food isn't the greatest and don't order the steak they don't know how to cook it. Overall, I stayed 3 nights and wouldn't go longer than that and I will probably not visit Koh Chang again.

The establishment is seated on the rocky beach of Koh Chang, away from the hustle and bustle of White Sand Beach and similiar areas. They have a friendly and attentive staff that will help on all matters from sight seeing to arranging for departure transportation. Another great asset is the on-site restaurant where they serve food for the worlds pallet, everything from the "American" breafast to Pappay Salad. I will stay here again if given the chance.

Nice clean hotel with huge room and very spacious bathroom. Prime location on main road along White Sand Beach so no need to hike. If you find name of the hotel quite mouthfull you can ask to be dropped at Chester Grill or Buffallo Bill Steakhouse since this hotel is right next door. The price might not be suitable for penny pincher backpackers but we enjoyed our two days stay in here. The only drawback is that it's located right across Sabay Bar so it can be quite noisy at night, but with one cheap earplug it should be no problem.

The Hotel is exactly opposite the the beach if you take the beach side. There are two parts of the hotel- beach side and hill side. Its better if you opt for the Beach side as the cost difference is not much and the view from these rooms are awesome and all of these are pool+beach facing. Breakfast was good. The wifi was not so good but that should not be a concern for anyeone while choosing any hotel(My past exp says all hotels have bad wifi). The cleanliness of the rooms could have been better but i still say it was not bad at all.Additionally for anyone who likes Indian Food, there is a restaurant just opposite to this hotel which server really tasty Indian cuisines. Recommended for anyone who wants to stay in Koh-Chang at White Sand beach. Enjoy!

It was so nice here, we booked for 7 nights but stayed 12, it was fab. The hotel is in a great location, it partners itself with the Lagoon Resort so you share the facilities of this hotel, which are great and it is directly opposite. The rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh sheets and towels, the housekeeping staff are lovely. The room was a good size with a balcony. It is right in the heart of White Sand Beach so the location could not be any better. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially when we wanted to extend our stay.

15 Palms is the Best mid-priced Hotel you can find on Koh Chang. The location is exceptional right in the middle of the most beautiful White Sand Beach. The rooms are all brand new and the beds, linen, furniture, bathrooms are genuinely 5 star and spotlessly clean. The staff are all really nice and speak great English. The Restaurant serves great food at good prices, in their Beach-side restaurant. Breakfast options are great and in the evenings they have tables and beanbags on the beach to enjoy the sunset. There are great upmarket and budget cafes and restaurants up and down the beach and the main road, with beautiful mountainside backdrop.

This was my 2nd stay in this hotel. It's a newish building located on white sands beach,the busiest resort in koh Chang. The hotel is really nice. Lots of couples and families were staying there. For my friends and i it was just across the road from a few bars and as well as having a ok-ish swimming pool was 5 minutes from the beach. The staff were polite and helpful and the rooms were really nice and clean. We stayed there in early January this year and paid for a room each through agoda which was s good deal. Breakfast included which was nothing special but there if you needed it. For 3 single lads maybe this hotel was better than what we normally stay in but the location is sound and the hotel is likewise . I recommend it.

It is very close to the beautiful white sand beach and has wonderful rooms. Big bathrooms and an entry to the beach. The beach on that side is a little bit Rocky, but if you walk like 2 more minutes to the north of white sand beach, you will have the most beautiful beach by your side. It is a new hotel, with a small bar in front of the hotel. The prices are very good and I would recommend to stay there. The only thing that we didn't like we're ants in the rooms, even though we had 2 different rooms for 2 different nights, in both have been ants. first in the bathtub and in the other room on the bed. But that's all.

A very nice resort overlooking the sea. You can view amazing sunset every evening. Every rooms (and bathroom too!) is well curated and decorated; beautifully. To top it up, every bathrooms will be provided with luxury-nice-rosey-smell shower gel, shampoo and conditioner (in red, pink and light pink color). They are not your ordinary hotel's supplies. I believe this effort show's how they value their guests. Top notch quality for all their guests. The downside is just the location. It's far from all the interesting places in White Sand Beach . You may need to rent Motorbike (250 Baht per 24 hours) in order to commute easily. Cheers!

The Koh Chang Rosortel was apparently a very large resort that has been taken over by a single owner. It is being managed as a small operation. So there are many amenities, like a 50 meter, 8 lane work-out swimming pool and a very nice relaxing pool, partially shaded. But, there are not large numbers of guests. For that reason, it is quiet and one receives much personal attention. There was a good breakfast offered every morning. This is free for those in higher priced rooms. There is a small sand beach nearby (about 50 meters away), but most of the beach around the resort is rocky. This makes swimming there difficult. A large sand beach is open to the public about 2 KM away in the area of White Sand Beach, which I found to be easy to reach walking or by taxi.

We stayed at Koh Chang Hut Hotel before. We have tried several different rooms and 2 bungalows. All very nice. If you live in bungalows you can have a real quiet stay. Some of the rooms are facing the street and of course there is a Little more noice there but it is nice to Watch the life. Rooms facing the garden are quiet. We shopped around for nice and comfortable hotels and this is without a doubt the best value for Money in White Sand Beach. It is walking distance to nightlife (around 100 metres) and it is nice that you can walk home after partying. Not a good idea to drive in the night. We give the hotel our best recommendation and we will stay there neXt time in Koh Chang.

Booked in for two nights and then two more and then two more, ended up staying for nine nights. Room is clean and comfortable staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good for walking to White Sands or for grabbing a taxi down the coast to the other beaches. Situated between White Sands and the quieter Chai Chet beaches. Very peaceful and beautiful grounds far enough from main road that you can't hear it. Two nearby shops. Restaurant at end of road and loads more within 30 minute walk. Highly recommended.
