Wiang Inn Hotel combines a peaceful setting with quiet comfort while being close to the action of Chiang Rai. The hotel is located on a quiet side road at the city center and is a few minute's walk from the popular night market. Rooms are decorated in contemporary Thai style and are well equipped with modern facilities like satellite TVs. The in-house restaurant serves both Thai and international cuisine while the bar is a great place to catch up with friends. Guests can relax by the pool and enjoy a traditional Thai massage. We love this hotel”
The hotel is a bit old but clean and professionally managed. Breakfast is very good - a lot of choices - and lunch and dinner buffet is often a bargain.
Good sleep and convenient location”
Traditional Thai hotel, although it is a bit old but still well maintained. Nice and adequate buffet breakfast. I have good sleep for one night here in between staying in hostels. Very near to Chiang Rai old bus terminal 1.
Location is definitely an advantage”
The hotel is close to night market, bus station, rent-a-car shops and it is easy to go to sightseeing spots. The hotel itself is a little bit old but it is clean and tidy and the price is competitive.
very good city centre hotel”
nice staff, spacious room and comfortable bed, quiet surroundings, good breakfast, we tried the hotel lunch buffet for 200 bahts. per person and the food were delicious with a lot of choices, super value, we took the hotel shuttle to the airport for 200 bahts for two persons, overall we're enjoyed our trip in Wiang Inn Hotel, we plan to come back soon.
Very good! Awesome! Good location, breakfast good, swimming pool good, helpful staff and room is clean. We were there for 5 days. Feeling good to stay there and meanwhile most of the temples in town are within walking distance. Definitely will come back to stay in the same hotel again
Pleasantly surprised ”
Always a difficult thing to pick a hotel from what other people say or from looking at the area in Google. But I can safely say the Wiang Hotel is a very nice place to stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The lobby bar had someone playing the piano while we had as drink at the end of the day. We had breakfast included and it was good. All the usual items and made to order eggs, but you might have to ask because the cook isn't always there waiting. Good location easy walk to the night market. I recommend eating dinner in the market for a better Thai food experience. Why come all the way to Thailand for Italian or western food right?
Go there, you'll like it ...”
It's the 2nd time we've (5 of us) stayed at the Wiang Inn/Chiang Rai (the 1st time was with my son, his wife and their 4 children). Ideally located (3 minutes walk from the night market (but nonetheless a quiet place), surrounded by restaurants (Thai and international), bars, massage shops, etc. Spacious and well equipped rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Go there, you won't be disappointed ... enjoy your stay.
Hotel rooms are good, clean and comfortable and lifts are modern. are amazing. WiFi is free but servicecan be patchy at busy times. The staff at the Wiang Inn are amazing, very willing to help and extremely friendly and welcoming. Only criticism is the outside pool, which could do with some repair work, as some tiles are cracked and steps a little wobbly. Tiles were also a bit dirty around water line but adequate and treated with chlorine, so no tummy upsets. We had pool to ourselves most of the time.
Don't hesitate to book you into the Wiang Inn, Chiang Rai ...”
Don't hesitate t book you into the Wiang Inn ... whether single, couple, family (connection rooms !), whether for leisure or business, this hotel is the place to stay when you're in Chiang Rai. Just 2 minutes walk from the night market, restaurants, bars, pool tables, massage shops. Enjoy your stay ...
Clean Tidy and efficient ”
Everything OK here only drawback is they built the swimming pool in the shade but that wasn't my main reason for being here
A bit musty, a bit worn around the edges, but an elegant place to spend a few days and nights. My room was spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is very good. The downtown location places you within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, the clock tower and the bus station.
Ideal place to stay in the city center of Chiang Rai”
Not the 1st time I stay in this place. The ideal place to stay in the city center of Chiang Rai. Not the most recent place but centrally located (restaurants, bars, massage places ... and the night market is just a 3 minutes walk away. Big room, fairly well equipped. Worth the money.
This hotel is situated at the heart of Chiang Rai City, convenient to explore night bazaar and flea market on Saturday (nothing much interesting though..). Breakfast is quite nice, though it should add more tables and chairs because it seemed to welcome big tour groups every morning.
I've stayed at the Wiang Inn four times, it's been 2 years since I was last there and noticed that some renovations have been made. Hotel is located about a 2 minute walk from night market and bus depot. I noticed that they have added addittional satellite channels. Improvement to what they previously had. Breakfast is the best I've had in Thailand. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate staying again.
OK Hotel that needs a serious update”
This is a very central hotel with friendly staff, but the infrastructure is quite old. Rooms lack convenient electrical outlets, the wifi drops or slows down all the time, there is no proper business center or exercise room. Pool could do with some umbrellas.
Good location with valuable price”
Good location near night bazar market. If you want to go the night market "Tanoon kon dern" on Sunday night you can take Tuktuk in front of hotel. There has a cat cafe, restaurant, tea shop not far from hotel. Breakfast buffet really ok by food and atmosphere.
No wifi very bad. The wose hotel I ever stay. I not clean at all. Night time duno give what bites hand and leg. Very bad and poor hotel.
Reverbished and much improved”
Lobby and rooms recently updated. Excellent location with plenty of free parking. Swimming Pool is cold and hardly used. Farang breakfast no longer good (bacon poorly cooked, no tomatoes, no mushrooms, no beans) Sad as this used to be best breakfast in town.
A little run-down with some air-conditioning problems in our rooms but a stunning breakfast buffet. Don’t go early for breakfast to allow ignorant Chinese coach parties to leave and you’ll enjoy it even more. Close to night market which is only a five-minute walk away. Great staff!
