Overall it is ok. The hotel is located on the main street, very easy to find but the hotel and inside look old although it was just newly renovated. The facilities did not seem to function well. The hot water system in my room was not working on the first night so I showered with cold water. The next day the hotel allowed me to change to room. Also, there is a small pool at the top floor but it does not look like a place I could relax. However, staffs are very kind and helpful. Even though, I think I can find other hotels in Mandalay with a little less facilities with a much cheaper price.

Nice Swimming Pool - Great Views of the City”

This hotel is a great place to rest after travelling with several swimming pool areas on the 7th floor giving great views over the city. The room and beds were very comfortable, nice bathroom. Great staff with kind information and politely helpful in every way. Internet was ok and there were enough plugs to charge all equipment. The breakfast buffet was big with good choices - ok for vegans and vegetarians.

OK Hotel”

We stayed here because it was one of the closest hotels to the airport (it takes about 40 minutes by taxi to get to there). The staff was very kind. The breakfast buffet was big, but the quality was a bit lacking. Also, the hotel seemed empty. We just wanted a clean place to sleep before catching our morning flight, and Hotel Wilson delivered.

Very Average”

Wouldn't stay here again. Too far from central Mandalay (y own fault for not doing a bit more research), the breakfast wasn't up to scratch - they mixed all the cereals together so you can't just have cornflakes or muesli etc (sound a bit picky but i rely on cereal in the morning as i don't eat meat and rarely eat eggs). The room was big, air conditioning was close to the window on the left side of the room so wasn't very efficient. Bathroom/shower was ok. Net curtains were that old they were literally falling apart. Overall this place needs a big makeover, very dated, carpets really worn - just years of neglect in my opinion. Door staff were excellent as well as the reception staff. Noise from dogs barking at night is relentless.....be warned.

good value for money a bit far from the center”

The hotel is nice, the breakfast is superb, we also had room service which if u pay in local currency is quite affordable and it was delicious. A bit of an unpleasant detergent smell coming out of the bathroom. Quite far from the center to walk.

Fair ”

Nice stay in this hotel. Staff at front desk was great. Bathroom was very simple, biggest problem being the fact that there was no shower enclosure and all the water flowed to the drain on the opposite side of the bathroom!! Water boiler was located inside the bathroom and had to be activated 15 minutes before usage. European breakfast was very limited and the croissants were old an dry.

Satisfactory”

i stayed 3 nights and found to be ok. staff are very nice and hotel has summing pool, gym, spa, etc. Location is not so good as there is no restaurant nearby and menu of hotel is very limited unless you want Chinese food.

Stuff is excellent in assisting on travel arrangements. Excellent bed. Facilities need maintenance or renovation. Hotel shows it's age. Safe is not bolted down and locking operation is awkward. (Never use it)

Its seems for appropriate for business”

The staff spoke limited English which made it diificult to even book taxis. The hotel was old fashioned and rooms and showers were extremely basic with no hot water. The pool area was grubby and dinner was in a strange lobby area. Not many other guests there which said a lot. We weren't looking for luxury but this wasn't satisfactory for four stars.

Room can hear all sort of traffic noise fr the street, it only quiet down after midnight, bit noise st as early as 5am again. So cannot have peace ful sleep

This is definitely the worst night I have ever spent in Myanmar. If I look at the evaluation carefully instead of watching the rating, I will definitely not choose here! It is not convenient to go everywhere . It is very noisy. There are dogs screaming every few minutes at night. It wakes up by the radio speaker at 5 or 6 in the morning and lasts for several hours. The smell of the room was pungent, and the waiter sprayed the air freshener before stay. The smell of the toilet drain was so large that it was difficult to sleep, and the room light switch broke down, so that I finally turned on the light to sleep. It’s really a bad experience to spend the night when you are not feeling well. I don't know why it has such a high score.

One of the biggest dissappointments of our trip to Myanmar, hotel advertises facilities it does not have

Not so comfy as I expected ”

The room I requested was non-smoking, but unfortunately the room smelled strongly from cigarettes. Very disappointed. One of the receptionists was not so nice, not to mention to the details. I believed she had a very bad day. The location is far away from everything for what tourists need (example: restaurants). To cross the streets in this area is deadly dangerous. The traffic lights are only made for vehicles. Yes, there’s a button at the traffic lights pole for the pedestrians to press, but sadly it’s apparently out of order “all junctions”, you gotta keep waiting forever.

The original room was dusty and the bathroom smelt so we were moved to another room. We stayed there but the bathroom still smelled bad.
