5-Star standard at the rate of 3-Star”
brand new homestay with super low density of only 12 rooms. rooms are either on detached villa or within 2-storey block. i stayed 2 nights in a villa, large room (too luxury for one person, but would definitely enjoy the spaciousness). great bath with planting inside and rain shower. one would prefer to stay in old town of hoi an, but windbell which is just 10-15min walking distance will give you a sense of refreshing after whole day tour in the ancient town. you can even stay in the hotel for one whole morning, enjoying the swimming pool and garden. very ideal for family staying, also for young couples. friendly staff make your feel like back to home. definitely my choice for the next visit to hoi an.

Very nice villas with a pool”
The Windbell Family Villa really is a great accommodation. We had a very nice big room on the 1st floor with a huge bed, a balcony overlooking the garden and the pool, and a spacious bathroom. Everything seems new and is very clean. The pool was nice for little cooling down in the spring heat of Hoi An. The breakfast is ok - a classic offer of eggs, butter and jam etc. for a western breakfast or traditional Vietnamese dishes like pho or noodles with stir/fried vegetables. Also to choose from are banana pancakes, fruit plate, yogurt and similar. The staff is nice, if a little pushy with trying to offer day tours, their uncle's tailor shop, meals in their restaurant etc. But all in all I would recommend them. If you don't have a pick up arranged, you will find them on Cam Nam. Cross the Cam Nam bridge from Hoi An and walk down the main road. After the road turns left, walk a little further and you will see them on the left side. They have red lanterns hung by the entrance. It's about a 10 min walk from Hoi An.

Fantastic, charming, serene little spot.”
Windbell is a fantastic little, almost mini resort feel hotel. It's not exactly a "homestay" in that you're living with a family in their home--basically, there is a large house at the entrance where the family lives in upstairs. Downstairs is the hotel lobby/reception and restaurant/dining room. Then surrounding the pool and either individual villas for guests or duplex buildings with guest rooms. You have complete privacy and because of the design, the pool, the style, it feels like you're staying in a mini-resort, rather than someone's home. The "Plum Room" I had was one of the duplex rooms--imagine a two story building with three rooms downstairs, three upstairs. I was amazed at how large it was--the room was huge with a gigantic king sized bed, and a large, modern bathroom with rain-shower. The entire hotel is less than a year old and still feels quite new. If you pay more, you can get an individual one-room villa, or I believe there are even larger, two bedroom or family villas as well. The location is fantastic on Cam Nam island, which is a ten minute walk to Hoi-An town across the bridge. Close enough that you're in town in minutes, but a little away from the hustle and bustle on a quiet residential lane. The hotel rents scooters and bicycles which makes it even easier and quicker to get into town. The on-site restaurant is nice and serves a mix of western food (pizza, sandwiches), and usual Vietnamese fare. The included breakfast is a great value and quite tasty and filling. The staff is the family and they speak decent English and were always helpful in giving advice or directions. But be aware, it is a more relaxed vibe and you're not going to get the kind of immediate service you might get staying at a large chain hotel or resort. Sometimes you might find the front desk absent because there is only one person working at the time and s/he is off somewhere else in the hotel. But those occurrences were rare.

Exceptional staff at Windbell”
We would thoroughly recommend visitors to Hoi An to stay at Windbell Villa. It is not far from the old town (15 minutes walking) but far enough away to be in a quiet location. The room was very spacious, neat and very clean. The grounds including the pool were excellent. Very tranquil setting. But the most important and enjoyable part of our stay was the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. They could not do enough for you. This was especially important when a doctor was required. Not only was there a doctor there within an hour but the subsequent assistance with meals etc was brilliant. Good location, lovely villas and great staff.

My best hotel room ever”
You can enjoy a amazing bed in a Standard room. This is the largest bed I've ever seen (The width maybe be larger than 2 metres. Besides that is awesome bath room. My wife and me really like this bath room so much. With a very reasonable price, you can enjoy a swimming pool so that you should bring swimwear when staying at Windbell Villa Hoi An.

Great homestay with great service”
First time in Danang / Hoi An area and found Windbell via Agoda by chance while searching for a "Home Stay" Couldn't have been a better choice. It's situated away (but 5 mins bicycle ride) from the buzzling (sometime noisy) heart of Hoi An. Great room - clean, nice deco with amenities of a full blown hotel... they have good Wifi coverage and a nice pool too! The family members are well-informed, speaks well and warm. Helped us to all our needs (bicyles, reservations, directions, taxi bookings, recommendations) The perfect place to stay for a few nights while exploring historical Hoi An.

Lovely friendly family run homestay.”
Windbell homestay is a little bit out of the town of hoi an, about a 15 minute walk. This is not necessarily a bad thing though as it was often a relief to get out of the hectic Market and busy area. The family who run windbell are lovely and make you feel very welcome. We stayed in a villa which was huge and we couldn't fault the cleanliness and accomodation standard. Breakfast was limited but was cooked fresh as and when you turned up for it - the banana pancakes were fab! Could not recommend this place enough.

Windbell Villa revisited:-)”
After 4 years I returned to Windbell Villa. It is still a beautiful oasis, situated in a quiet, local area of busy Hoi An. The same family running the business, very helpfull and nice people! Local restaurants and cafes just outside the premises. Hoi An center in walking distance. An Bang beach just 3km away, bicycle-distance - bicycles for rent.

An Oasis, off the beaten track”
we are so glad that we booked windbell homestay for our time in hoi an - it suited us perfectly. our room was spacious, nicely presented and very clean. during our stay housekeeping was speedy and perfect as well. laundry returned same day at reasonable cost. really enjoyed the baguette breakfasts and the lovely fruit plates. we walked in and out of town - about 15 mins i guess. did pass a few barky dogs but they were all mouth and no trousers. we hired bikes from the hotel one day ($1.50) which was great fun. did all the usual hoi an things (suits made, lanterns bought, pho supped) and had a great time. slept like logs as it was nice and peaceful.100% recommend.

One of the Best hotel on our 45 days in asia”
It is not always that i give a review such as this one but this review is merited. This is a small family run hotel, In all our travels through Asia the windbell villa is without doubt one of the best for food, rooms, pool and great service from all the staff we have ever stayed at. Nothing was too much for the staff, great service, arranging our transfer to the airport all done with a smile, would stay here again, thanks windbell villa. john and hannah Scotland

Lovely Villa”
The villa is located in Cam Nam Island which is about 10-15 mins walk from the Hoi An Town Ctr. Villa is very pretty indeed and we were given a 2-rooms villa for the 5 of us. Breakfast is pretty good where we were allowed to choose from the menu. Overall satisfied with this villa and would recommend it.

Great service and location”
Stayed here with four friends and upon arrival they quickly reorganized our rooms to accommodate our extra bed request. The staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations for local eateries and activities. The complimentary breakfast was good too! The location of the homestay was perfect. Set in a quiet neighborhood; only a 2-3 min motorbike ride from the heart of Hoi An. Windbell provided the motorbikes at a very reasonable rate. The only con was that our room had a mild mildewy smell to it. No big deal tho.

planned 5 nights and stayed 10”
We really loved Windbell Homestay. We enjoyd it so much, that we extended our stay for 5 more days. The rooms are so beautiful, big, stylish. For us it was like a hidden paradise. The family who is managing the place is very friendly and helpful, but not pushy at all. The food in their restaurant is very good too! Actually the Resort is a little bit outside of Hoi An´s centre, so we rented a motorbike and only needed one minute to be at the market. But we really liked that the place was not in the middle of the town! If we go to Hoi AN again, we would always stay at Winbell again!

Great hotel. A little far,”
The Windbell is newly built, attractively designed. Huge shower, big rooms, clean and no bugs. They have a lovely swimming pool and sitting area/deck in the garden. Breakfasts were good, and all the staff except one were really nice. We truly enjoyed our stay here, all in all. But do know that it's not in the main part of town. So it's also less convenient: walkable, but you'll probably cab it when tired. It's also quieter, less exhaust, less touristy. Drawback: The main front desk guy (Hao) will try to get you to book everything else that his family runs in town. His uncle's tailor shop. His sister's spa. The tours he can book on your behalf (NOT run by Sinh Tourist, though he'll tell you so and that he's just offering you the convenience of booking; I asked Sinh and they do not work with him). And by "try to get you to book" I mean "ask you every time he sees you." This wasn't a matter of his extolling the virtues of these establishments once; he was pushy and annoying. I can't vouch for the quality of either the tailor shop or the tours, as we did not try these. But eventually we caved to the pestering and tried the spa (Aly, which was favorably reviewed on Tripadvisor so heck, why not). Here's why not: THEY DON'T CHANGE THE TOWELS BETWEEN CLIENTS. We discovered this as we were dressing and they pulled the towels off our bodies to fold them and place them neatly back at the bottom of the massage tables. This post will momentarily double as a review of the spa, so please bear with. Linens in area where you place your head, face-down: musty and wet. Masseuses: unskilled. Location: loud and unprofessional. A 4-year-old child wandered into the room at the end of our massages. While we were getting dressed. Fortunately she was a girl and so my friend and I (both women) just turned our bare breasts away. Should you book at the Windbell? Yes. For now, it's new and nice. But don't book any of the extras, and don't feel bad about it.

Fantastic rooms and service.”
this is one of the best places we have stayed in vietnam,it is not set out like a hotel ,more like mini apartments. the rooms are set out on two floors, each with a terrace or balcony. on arrival we were given one of the plum rooms ,which was huge and the bed enourmous. the bathroom was a wet room with a difference, but again huge and spotlessly clean.we were then moved to a suite next to the pool, free of charge, and this again was fantastic.the family who run the windbell are so willing to help with taxi's and information about hoi an,that they are part of the joy of staying here.breakfast is ,oh joy, not a buffet and lunch and dinner also excellent.

a gem!”
my husband, daughter and son-in-law and i shared the spacious two bedroom carambella suite. very comfortable, with the pool literally outside our door. the windbell homestay is a gem...an intimate, family operation that is beautifully appointed and landscaped very helpful and accommodating. bathroom fan was not working when we arrived but it was fixed as soon as we brought to their attention. location was terrific. close enough to walk to the centre of hoi an, but far enough to be a tranquil oasis. we would return. breakfast was included and had both competent western choices and vietnamese specialities that were also good.

Great, friendly boutique-type hotel”
we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at windbell. the cluster of bungalows around the pool and garden are delightful, the pool was idylic, the breakfast menu was varied and meals were tasty and well priced. only a 10 minute walk to the centre of hoi an and windbell offered peace and quiet, like a small oasis from the hustle and bustle of the town.

Visit could not have been better”
I went to Windbell Family Villa for my second honeymoon. The staff was just great. They upgraded us to a larger room. The hotel setting is just great. Very quiet area about 10 minute walk from Hoi An. We also ate at the hotel and was pleasantly suprised by the quality of the food.

Amazing place didn't want to leave”
We loved our stay at the Windbell, it is a 10min walk to the old town of Hoi An. The room we had was fantastic, we had a villa. It was large airy clean right by the pool. The pool its self was spotless. It is a family run hotel would definitely recommend. Breakfast was very good, cooked to order.

fabulous hotel”
we stayed at this hotel for a whole week and it was definately one of our best in vietnam. the room was spacious and modern, the pool was great and the breakfast was better than in most mid-ranged vietnameese hotels. the family who owns this place is so nice and helpful and even gave as a windbell as a good bye gift. location wise - it's not in the center of hoi an old city, you do need a scooter or bike to get there. by foot it takes about 15 minutes.
