Best Place to Stay in Hoi An”
Look no further than Windy River Homestay for your visit to Hoi An. It is only a 5-10 min walk to the old town, close enough that this is not a problem, but just far enough to escape the mad turmoil that is the tourist madhouse that it can become with the hundreds of tourists turning up every day. It is on the shores of the Island of Cam Nam in a local area with great local restaurants just a minute or 2 down the road which have great local food. Beleive me there is nothing nicer than sitting on their garden terrace having a coffee or beer with a cooling breeze coming off the river to finish a hectic day doing the tours around Hoi An. Originally only booked for 4 nights and liked it so much ended up staying a week. You cant ask for a nicer place or hosts 1 downside: you will find you relax so much that it will be hard to leave and continue your journey

A Wonderful Place to stay!”
We (a family of 5 - kids aged 7, 10 and 12) spent 2 weeks at Windy River Homestay and we had the most amazing time! We would highly recommend this homestay to anyone coming to Hoi An -our kids absolutely loved fishing out the back and Mr An and Phuong, along with Tram and Dung were the most incredible hosts. We were treated like we were a part of the family and we will definitely be back here to stay if we ever make it back to Hoi An! A million thank you's for welcoming us into your home and for always going above and beyond! We would recommend this homestay to anyone (and already have to all of our friends!)

Highly recommended”
Great location in a quieter part of Hoi An away from the crowds but not too far from the old town. There are some great restaurants nearby especially the last one past the Nem restaurant(some of the best good I have had in Vietnam and much cheaper than the old town eateries). Good views of the river and countryside from most of the rooms. Extremely helpful staff. This was my second time here and will stay there . The free pedal bikes were a bit dodgy and could do with replacing.

Excellent homestay”
I stayed in Hoi An during tet. This homestay offered a lovely clean room with a beautifull view. I can honestly say the bed was the best bed I've slept in during my last 9 months of traveling. The family running it invited me to eat with them to honor their passed away mother, and later that day to celebrate tet. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Amazing room with a beautiful view”
This homestay surpassed our expectations spectacularly. The building was a gorgeous Vietnamese-style house in a quiet area located just a short walk from the city centre, and our room boasted a breathtaking view of the river. The staff were warm and friendly, and we didn't want to leave.

Dishonest host”
We are a family of 5 who stayed at the Windy River Homestay for 1 night. The room had an ant infestation problem and some mold growing on the wall above the basin. The included breakfast was just plain instant noodles. There is no fridge or kettle in the room. On the plus side, the backyard was nice. During the checkout process, we needed to pay 400,000 Vietnam Dongs for booking a private car and some drinks, we accidentally handed over 4million Dongs by mistake and the host took all of it. Luckily, we realized the mistake shortly after and managed to get the money back, with the host saying she didn't notice. This is extremely dishonest as she watched us count the notes in front of her one by one and therefore most definitely did notice, but simply tried to pocket the money.

Not happy with Windy River Homestay”
I have to say this place destroyed our happy feeling when we visited Hội An. I booked room for 3 people, checked in on Sun and check out on Mon. Honestly to say, we have a good room with 12usd/night/3 people that I booked via Agoda, the host was not happy with this money, we have not enough pilows and no blanket until asking and her attitude was not friendly at all when we asked anything. We checked out at 12:20pm (20 minutes late with 12pm) and she charge us 2.5usd more. That made our feeling really bad at that moment and not good memory even Hoi An is good place and food was super good. I will be back Hoi An but no Windy River homestay anymore

Short walk from all the action”
We really enjoyed staying here for a few nights in August. Friendly helpful hosts and great new rooms. Beautiful patio out back for breakfast and watching the afternoon rains. Hotel rented bikes and helped us to arrange our bus for onward travel (including a taxi driver who drove us out to the highway and waited with us until we were on the bus). Less than a 10 minute walk to the market and old quarter in a nice quiet neighborhood!

Windy River Homestay is not good”
My friends and I have to say this place destroyed our happy feeling when we visited Hội An. I booked room for 3 people via Agoda, checked in on Monday and check out on Tuesday. To be honest, we had room with 15usd/night/3 people including breakfast, the host was not happy with this money and was not willing to make the breakfast for us, she asked us to eat at Old Town although the meals were included. The restroom had the awful smell, the bed also had insects, it was really itchy. When we checked out, the host did not care about us until we called. After returned the keys, she also forgot to return the ID card to us. That made our feeling really bad at that moment and not good memory even Hoi An is good place and food was super good. I will be back Hoi An but no Windy River homestay anymore

Very good”
The location was good and the house itself was really nice with a beautiful view and comfortable room. Good place to relax while enjoying home made noodle soup which was delicious. Only issue we faced was that the host wasn't being aware of our breakfast included booking and hence tried to charge us for that. We weren't notified that the "inclusive breakfast" only comprised one dish and one drink per person and hence had to pay extra. But the overall experience was good, could even rent bicycles to go around the city.

La verdad es que hubo varios inconvenientes tanto con la limpieza, la administracion, la entrega de informacion y la correlacion entre lo dicho por una u otra persona del lugar. La entrega de informacion turistica y ayuda para esto es bastante mediocre y no permite conseguir soluciones. La pieza estaba francamente sucia (sabanas sucias y toallas sucias) por lo cual tuvimos que pedir en dos ocasiones un cambio de las mismas. Espero arreglen su situacion administrativa

Des gens adorables. Trouve des solutions à tous les projets ou à tous les petits problèmes (oubli passeport dans hotel precedent) l'emplacement exelent au bord dela rivière tout proche du centre. La chambre pour 5 personnes parfaite. Un seul regret : ne pas avoir pu prolonger notre séjour chez eux.
