Winterton Country Lodge was the perfect place as a stop over before and after a hiking trip into the Berg. It was quiet, beautifully green, the room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was extremely good and our hosts friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go back.

Drakensberg travels”

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners made us feel very welcome. We were even served a great South African dinner made at our request, bob tie and peach melva. The room was large and glass doors opened on to a private flower garden. The grounds around the lodge are lovely. The location of the lodge gave easy access to all the surrounding sites, trails and beautiful countryside.

Great Hosts - 5 Star experience for 3 Star price. Incredible Breakfast - very nice garden. We stay in a lot of B&Bs, VRBOs, and lodges none better

Beautiful peaceful retreat in an excellent location”

Large, comfortable, well-equiped and serviced rooms with private outside space, set in glorious grounds. The owners went out of their way to be accommodating and gave us their personal attention, always in a cheerful manner. The hotel is well-situated relative to all parts of the Drakensberg and is easy to locate. There is an excellent Steakhouse restaurant minutes from the hotel for evening meals. The breakfasts were super. All-in-all, a great hotel.

Winterton Lodge @ Rose Cottage”

This is the 2nd time that we have stayed here, awesome staff especially James. Breakfast was superb and our "Bungalow" was very clean. The gardens are also beautiful at this time of year. We'll definitely be back.

Relaxed during business trip”

I had a wonderful stay. Th only annoying thing was the lack of cellphone and 3g reception in the rooms, meaning I had to move my laptop to the pool or dining area and make and receive calls from the same area. Other than that, it was perfect and I will be back either for business or holiday again.

Excellent resting place”

We enjoyed a few days here resting after a long journey. Very relaxing, pleasant host and staff, nice rooms and setting. Good spot for exploring the locality.

Beautiful room with lovely touches. Only negatives is that there is no door to the bathroom, just a curtain. No privacy and a door is definitely needed

Wunderschönes B&B nahe der Drakensberge”

Meine Frau und ich waren für drei Nächte in der Winterton Country Lodge @ Rose Cottage. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, wozu auch besonders unsere netten und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber beigetragen haben. Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet und außerdem sehr sauber und komfortabel. Zudem ist die Lage des Winterton Country Lodge @ Rose Cottage perfekt für unterschiedliche Ausflüge in die Drakensberge und Nationalparks. Bei unserer nächsten Reise in die Drakensberge werden wir uns definitv wieder für das Winterton Country Lodge @ Rose Cottage entscheiden und können es daher absolut weiterempfehlen.

abbiaamo trascorso solo una notte, ma sarebbe stato molto bello potersi fermare di più. il lodge è in una zona tranquilla, ma comoda per fare escursioni al drakensberg.molto accogliente con un piccolo laghetto e animali che giravano tranquillamente nel parco. camera spaziosa e confortevole e i proprietari molto gentili e disponibili.
