My husband and I stayed in the upstairs double room for 1week last month and it was our favorite hotel on our 1 month vacation. The room was modern and elegant with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was of concrete and beautiful... plenty of hot water and nice strong toilet. The location was perfect, walking distance from town... 10-15minutes but even better than walking in the hot sun, we rented a scooter for 5dollars a day and toured the entire island by ourselves. the owner, gave us great tips on where the best snorkeling was and it was one of the best snorkeling we've done in Thailand. My favorite was the hotel restaurant.. the fish that we had to order one day in advance was amazing, flavorful, fresh, big, and cheap.. like 8dollars? We wish we ate there everyday. Definitely would stay there again

Myself and my girlfriend was originally staying in malabu bungalows, however the hotel was dreadful so we were recommended sea scence. We book the Rimlay room. Upon arrival we were greeted by the most friendly woman who was to show us to our room. The room was adjacent to the beach and the view was amazing. The bungalow it's self must have only been refurbished because the rooms and toilets were so clean we couldn't believe it. The real reason we were there was for the full moon but ended up staying 3 more nights. The location to the full moon isn't that bad it about 20 mins on a taxi bus and costs about £2-3 in English in transfers and can be found all night and day. The hotel had a restaurant which was a reasonable in price and the food was decent one again. I had a bit of an issue I crashed the hotels scooter and expected a high fine but only to recieve a small fine for the damage. This family run buisness is honest, friendly and I honestly really want to say something negative just to balance this out but I can't .. Seriously go and request the Rimlay house even if it is a few pound more!!

We came here with a bunch of friends for the fullmoon party. The hotel is located approximately 20 min north of the haadrin beach by taxi (there are taxis all night to go and come back) and it was only 100 bahts to go there ! The owner was kind enough to come and pick us up at the pier after we called, even though we were a group of 9 people. She speaks very good english. The rooms with fan have 2 fans (one on the ceiling and one that is movable). The rooms were very clean, the shower was pretty clean also and water pressure was better than what we had in a lot of other hotels in Thailand. The beach is nice, but a bit dirty. You can find some plastic bottles and whatnot in the water. And you can't really swim because it doesn't go really deep for a long time. The bar/restaurant... Now that was the best thing about this hotel I think! The meals were OK, some of them were really good (like the triple burger, really really good. the beef was really tasty) And they had a lot of games to play there : snooker, darts, babyfoot, ping pong, giant kenga ! That's how we met a few foreigners that were staying here! Definitely one of the best places I stayed in in Thailand!

If you want swimmable beach in the heart of the action, this might not be your best choice. But if you want a fantastic hotel with awesome rooms and super staff, this is your best choice. We rented scooters to get around because the Cyana is not really walking distance to alot of things, although if you walk out to the main road there are always taxi trucks to flag down. The people who run this place go over and above with customer service. The wife cooks some of the best Thai food we had. The Belgian husband was so helpful with anything we needed and enjoyed getting to know them. It isnt the white beautiful beach of some properties but there is a beach and loungers and a great pool that overlooks the ocean. Such a clean, well kept place with some of the nicest staff ever. The rooms are huge and lovely. Not many t.v. channels if u are a t.v. watcher tho. A short ride to lots of food and small towns with 7-11's and beer. (Although the beer right at the resort is cheap anyway). Highly recommend this place😊

The hotel far from the main pier around 5 minutes by riding the motorbike and also around 5 minutes from the city. The hotel is very nice, good view, clean, quiet area. There is a small swimming pool but you can enjoy your time with a book here or on the sun bed facing to the sea. It will be your best time. I will recommend this hotel if you want to relax your time from the hard day.

I finished a two week solo trip in Thailand by staying two nights at Bluerama and it was amazing. When I got to the ferry pier, someone was holding a sign for the hotel and drove me to the reception (5 min drive from the pier). The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the reception was able to arrange anything for you. In my case, I needed to rent a bike and a bike was brought to me, which was perfect because returning it was easy. I did have to give my passport but good luck finding a place on KP that wont take your passport. My room was the Double Room - Sea View. Room was perfect size for one-two people. Wifi and AC worked perfectly if that matters to you. The staff here were friendly and helpful. Then there's the pool...AMAZING. At the infinity pool, which overlooks the west coast of KP, is the Bluerama restaurant. They have amazing food and service. The pool is beautiful and many people come for sunset. Great place for photo opportunities ;) If you're staying at the resort, they have tables reserved for resort guests which is nice because it can get pretty busy, especially during high season. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone! Both co-owner partners were very friendly as well!

Nice village, nice house, everything new, very clean, modern and functional. Nice pool too. Location pretty quiet. The only downside was the mattress, hard as hell! I have lived in Thailand for many years so I am aware that the beds here are pretty hard, but this one was like wood! Even my husband who is usually not sensitive to that spent an awful night on this bed. Since the primary function of a hotel is to sleep, I would not recommend this hotel until they replace their mattresses with better ones. If they do, I would definitely come back then because everything else was great.

Everything was very good, the resort was very beautiful. It was the best place we stayed in Thailand. Only minus was the beach, that it was not possible to swim. Big plus was for the breakfast - food was freshly made and they had vegetarian options plus fresh fruits. Resort was quite and piece full that what we needed. Swimming pool area wasn't busy so we could enjoy a swim. Room was big, clean and stuff was good. I would recommend this resort to every one as it is wort of money value.

I had an amazing stay here! The owner and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The buildings are new and beautiful. Super clean, the bed is comfortable. The only thing is that you will need a scooter to go to the beach but oh well, that's the tiniest issue ever. I can't recommend them well enough. I would definitely book again without hesitation. We stayed for a week and would have stayed longer if we could, everything was perfect. The bungalows are simple, but very cozy and clean. Moscuito nets are everywhere, and you feel very safe (though one time a wasp somehow got inside the net above the bed, but we noticed it before going to bed). We much enjoyed the shower on the fresh air, and some small flying insects and lizards on the walls were not a problem for us. Also a family of small mice lived between the walls, and they were making running noises at night :), but they couldn't do any harm, and we've got used to all the night noises easily. And it was not hot at night as the fan was enough. The food and drinks in the cafe were very tasty and not expensive - we liked to have a dinner there and spend time with our friends, the guest area is very beautiful, and we could use the kitchen for our own food. We also rented a bike and never experienced any problems with it. We're grateful to the host family for our lovely stay there!

It was exactly what my boyfriend and I wanted. Close to the beach with minimal people there since it’s just a few bungalows there. It’s also close enough to town, but as you’re not in the heart of it(which I personally liked), then you’ll need a motorbike. However, if you’re someone that needs great amenities, something in the city so that you can just walk, and needs to have your room cleaned, then this place isn’t for you. I wanted something quiet and relaxing and this was here. Also, if you get a bungalow with AC, I found it cozy, yet modern. One of the best places I stayed in all of Thailand!

This is a very new resort..still building on the site...there are several different possibilities to sleep. Ultra basic bamboo bungalow's Deluxe bamboo. Wooden bungalows Stone bungalows All differently priced...we originally booked the deluxe bungalow.... But I could not see any difference with the ultra basic ones...so we upgraded to the beautiful wooden 2 bedroom bungalow.. No taxi seems to know where the resort is situated..no name board on roadside yet..it s on wok tum beach...to make things even more difficult to get there...they opened up the road. To the south from the resort... No cars can pass there..good scooter rental 500 meter to the north along the coastline..it was a perfect location for me...upgrade or not.

We stayed here for a week over New years so we could go to the full moon party. We didn't want to be too close to the full moon beach as we wanted some peace and quiet. This hotel was perfect, it is very basic, and the rooms may be a little small if you have a big group but the overall experience was perfect. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food in the resturaunt is some of the best i've had. It is also very affordable, chocolate bar is great for relaxed nights watching the ocean and plays some great chilled tunes.. I would definately stay again. Also each villa has a hammoc on the balcony so you can lay and watch the stars at night

Moonbeach is a great little group of bungalows run by a family. They provide free breakfast every morning, and the staff is very kind. The place has it's own beach, and is walking distance to many cafes, beaches, shops, and yoga studios. This is not Haad Rin so don't expect a 24hr party. This is the place to relax, chase waterfalls, drink Mai Thais on the beach, and cruise around on a scooter.

please note that this is a very private hotel with four rooms located at the top of a hill overlooking the ocean. if you are looking for a typical hotel with tons of guests and walking distant to the beach and attractions, then you may not be happy here. if you are looking for a private and very quiet hotel style room in the mansion of a charming french couple who is a gourmet french chef that cooks for guests and operates their own tour company, then you are in great luck. the place is located at the top of a hill on a private driveway over-looking the ocean with some great sunsets. there is a private pool and the room is huge and had air conditioning, hot shower, lcd tv, and even a small kitchenette with large refrigerator. the place was also immaculately clean with very soft towels that smelled nice and good quality shampoo and soap (hey i don't find that in every hotel, so i had to mention it) if you plan to get around the island or go into town is it highly recommended that you rent a car or moped if you stay here. of note, the owner did pick me up directly at the pier after i called to let them know i was coming in and got me a great deal on a renting a new moped to drive around the island. i didn't regret it for a minute, felt like i was well cared for guest at someone's mansion, and had a blast driving around the island on my moped. you can also hike down the long driveway and flag down one of the many taxi's if you're heading to haad rin or ask the owner to drive you into town.

I stayed for the full moon. It is a bit far away, but personally i prefer the distance so you have somewhere out of the chaos to chill afterwards. The bungalows could do with a bit of a paint job, but they serve their basis as somewhere simply to crash after partying hard. The family who run it are all very friendly - even gave me a lesson on riding the scooters you can rent from there. And let me keep all my luggage in there house for safe keeping the night of the party. Its also one of the cheaper options so if your on a budget, this is ideal.

We had 6 nights at Kupu Kupu Koh Phangan. Everything, from the small things like bed sheets, night snacks with a little story, every little detail was well thought threw. The staff was amazing. Always very helpfull and kind, always smiling and saying hello/see wa dee. It is pricey, but it definantly is the best hotel on the entire island. I’ve been a lot of places, hotels/resorts. And this is, by far, the best and most luxurious place i’ve ever been. They are so attentive of their gusets. We rented a scooter threw the hotel, same price as everywhere else, but the scooter comes straight to the lobby. You pay when you are done (1, 2, 3, or more days) just call the lobby from 8am and they’ll come and pick the scooter and the money for the days you’ve used the scooter. Breakfast is AMAZING! The egg station, makes an amazing omelet. The croissants tastes so good. They have a really good salami. Fruit is delicious. When i go back to Koh Phangan, i’ll with no doubt, stay at Kupu Kupu.

Our stay was very 'chilled' indeed! Gorgeous bungalows, were very comfortable. Staff were very helpful, friendly & informative in general on any info about the Island/things to see & do, how to get to & from the island etc even organising a taxi to the pier for us free of charge! We hired a bikes at 200thb a day to take us down to local shops & restaurants or around the island in general which I would recommend as nearest shops approx 700m & bit of a steep, winding walk especially at night-that is of course if you want to peel yourself away from the serenity of the resort-the little infinity pool or stepping right into the sea only metres from your room :) kayaks & snorkels also available free of charge! At first we thought the food at the resort was a little overpriced considering plenty of cheaper local food/cafes in village however then we tried the food! The chicken satay skewers-delicious!! Best in Thailand! Overall awesome stay! Would hope to come back again some day! :)

Staff are so friendly and helpful us as it's are first time in Koh Phagnan. We got a sea view fan hut, it's was ok ! We don't very respect that much as it's bargain, it's perfect view and closed to the beach. Visitors who are visit to Koh Phagnan full moon party, you can book at the Bangalow without any require to stay for many days and only 200 baht from Bangalow to Had Rin. Also it's closed to Tong Sala you can walk for 15-20 mins to Bangalow for saving money. Overall it's good but if you visit in summer I suggest to book air-condition room as it's might be too hot.

We enjoyed two unforgettable weeks here. The resort is strategically located, everywhere. It is in the middle of a beautiful, well-kept garden, thanks to Joy and Will, you feel at home. They are helpful with everything you think. The bungalow was very comfortable, there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. Best accommodation on the island. I hope to see you again ....... Mike and Sophie were amazing hosts, and the villa itself is absolutely beautiful. It's tastefully decorated and they had staff come in every day to change the linens and do general tidying (dishes, etc.). We rented a new scooter from Sophie at a discounted rate and had a lovely time exploring the island. Mike and Sophie truly went above and beyond as hosts. I came down with a serious infection and was hospitalized for 5 days during my stay, and not only did Sophie come to drive me within 10 minutes of me asking about the hospital, but Mike called the hospital to check how I was doing :) I cannot recommend them highly enough. If I ever end up back in Koh Phangan, I will absolutely check to see if their properties are available. Thank you for the true hospitality you showed during our trip!
