Amazing!!! ”
We decided we wanted a change from hostels and decided to go for this resort because it looked clean and was cheap for what we thought we was getting. We got a great price because of low season too. When we arrived we thought we’d be in a hotel room so when we found that we was in an apartment because of the low season we was over the moon! Beautiful open living room and kitchen area where we could cook, big spacious bedroom and bathroom and a balcony too. Free water and housekeeping every day, the staff we met were wonderful and really wanted to help whenever they could. The pool was great too and had toilets right next to them so you didn’t have to go all the way back to your room. 100% would recommend.

Best beds and rooms so far in our trip”
We loved the rooms. The beds are awesome, really comfortable mattress with very nice linen and fantastic pillows, which is usually hard to find at this price range. The rooms are a good size, bright and have everything needed, including a nice balcony overlooking the trees. As a bonus, the resort is 2min from a huge supermarket and several restaurants. Friendly staff.

One of the most comfortable beds in Thailand ! Away from the busy areas but near all the really delicious and cute restaurants Lots of dive shops and some yoga nearby (I recommended Ocean Sound for both ) Room cleaned everyday and great value for money Stay here for sure !

Superb jungle retreat”
The place is located a bit far from the busiest areas in the island, so it’s fully recommended if you are looking for a place to “retreat/recharge”. It has everything you can ask for, but be aware that the water is heated by the sun so you might end up without a hot shower on a rainy day. Overall, this didn’t affect our stay and we were really satisfied with the service and the room as well.

Pros: Lovely hotel, good general location off main road with restaurants etc providing peace and quiet, large clean comfortable rooms, nice pool, friendly staff. No Cons as such! Would mention there’s a long dirt road off the main road to get to hotel, we had a scooter so not a problem (Although it’s bumpy) but if you haven't then it’s a 10 minute walk before you reach the main road, the road is dark at night also (not owned by hotel so out of their control). Thanks for a fantastic stay!!

Best Price/Quality in Tao”
If you are looking for a comfy stay on a budget, this is the place to go. It's hard to get better accomodation for this price. So yes, you are not right on the beach like many resorts, but you are in a green quiet area, and with a motorcycle (that they can also rent) it's less than a 5mn ride!

Lovely villa and wonderful staff”
My husband and I stayed 3 nights here and thought it was idyllic. I hadn’t cooked in a while so using the kitchenette was a nice experience. The staff were super helpful and very attentive. Highly recommend staying here.

Thanks to manage Mao he is very friendly . Markets are very close from here so u get to buy groceries for cooking . The swimming pool is also nice and warm . I could not love my stay more . Will defiantly come back . One tips for all the travellers : try to book this property in low season , that can get u wonderful complimentary upgrade

Amazing value for the money!”
Me and my partner stayed at Woodlawn for a month. We had a great experience. I was surprised of the room-size and how brand new and clean everything was. The hotel is really close to the beach, like a 10-15min walk. However they do have a pool aswell. We struggled with hot water during or stay.. but other than that nothing to complain about. We would definitely choose Woodlawn again!

Great sized very comfortable rooms and excellent mattress and pillows! Hot water as long as you shower early enough. Staff very helpful and sweet. Pool is lovely. Price is awesome restaurants and shops only a short walk away but my 5yo didn't like the walk so much.. otherwise we would have stayed a lot longer.

Woodlawn villas is perfect for people looking for a quiet and peaceful accommodation. It is located in the middle of koh taos forest, providing all facilities needed and an amazing view and also a clean pool. It is about a 25 min walk from the pier, if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage I would recommend to take a taxi. The next beach is about a 10 min walk among many shops and restaurants, so you got everything you walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful! I would recommend to rent a motorbike right away because taxis are very expensive in comparison.

This resort was great. I rented a villa and was pleased with my stay here. They had AC, hot water shower, a kitchenette with some essentials and a fridge. They have a TV in the villa but it is not connected to any services so that was useless to me. Staff is very friendly and not seen much, which is great for me. Out of sight, out of mind and they provide their number so you can text them with any concerns any time of day. I was also able to rent a motorbike from the resort too, which saved a trip from having to go into town to find a rental. The worst thing about this resort is the entrance. Other reviews had mentioned it but it's a gravel and sand pathway to the resort. If it rains this road floods and becomes very difficult and dangerous to drive through. This is a private road so the owners can't do anything about this unfortunately. Despite the entrance challenges, I'd stay at Woodlawn Villas again and would recommend it to others.
