The stylish Milanese architecture blends in perfectly with the modern business and fashion venues that are found in Corso de Buenos Aires. The 19th century Worldhotel Cristoforo Colombo is located in one of Milan’s most modern and fashionable districts and is just a short train ride away from major Milan attractions such as La Scala and the Piazza Duomo. A shopping mall is right next door for those who are craving a bit of retail therapy. Guests can start their day with the complimentary breakfast of international and Italian cuisine, or try the hotel specialty - Italian homemade cakes.

Excellent”
Very good hotel although the shower needs to be reviewed, very small, in our room anyway. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful wether at the front desk, breakfast room or lounge. Very decent internet service as well. Quite nearby main locations. Access to the subway is one minute away. Enjoy the Cristoforo Colombo
An excellent, friendly hotel with great staff and facilities”
I visit Milan fairly regularly and this was my first stay at the Christoforo Colombo. I am happy to say that I will now be a regular guest. I requested a quiet room on the highest floor and got it. The room was spacious, comfortable and very well serviced. The staff were extremely friendly but also highly efficient - the perfect combination. Breakfast was excellent - expresso macchiato on request and as much fresh blood orange juice as you can drink. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone whether travelling for business or pleasure.
Lovely hotel ”
My fiancée and I stayed for a weekend in December for his 40th birthday. The hotel was lovely, warm, clean and staff are all very helpful. We paid €9 each to use the spa facilities during our stay, which were a great way to relax after a day exploring. The manager Frank was excellent and gave us a free room upgrade and sent a bottle of complimentary champagne to our room on arrival, which was just lovely. The hotel was perfectly placed for us a lovely selection of bars near the hotel to walk to and a metro stop just literally outside. You can also walk into central Milan it only took about 15-20 minutes to get to Duomo and we felt it was nice to be away from all the hustle and bustle. The executive room was nice and spacious, we had a room overlooking the front. Milan is busy and the Italians love to use their horns so I did use the earplugs some evenings! The room had a mini fridge which was complimentary and re-stocked daily, which was just a great little treat!
Exceptional”
The receptionist staff were friendly courteous and quite helpful. The hotel ‘s location is ideal......close to the metro, tram, restaurants and shopping. The room was very clean. Should we have the option of revisiting Milan, the hotel would be our very first choice. We would however request a room that does not face the Main Street.......Milan is a busy city even late at night. Sincere thanks for such a warm welcome. Adèle and Tom Ottawa, Canada
Amazing Hotel”
This hotel was the best thing that happned to us. First, service provided was amazing! Ludovica at the reception desk provided us with the best, five star welcome, check in and concierge information. I would note that she is amazing in her job and hotel should reward her for that. Another two receptionist were exceptional. Stephano and can't remember the other guy's name Gian-Luca at the restaurant is exceptional as well restaurant lady, Lordes. Hotel is older, renovated, extremely well kept, excellent location right on Metro station, five minute walk from beautiful park, 15 minute walk to Duomo, you can also rent a bike, Milano is very biking friendly city. There is a super market half block away and some shopping around, H&M, Guess, cafes.. Nice area. All in all, amazing prperty, and Ludivica was THE BEST of the best!! Thank you-Molto Grazie, Milan and Levie
Great Service Hotel with great location”
i love this hotel! all the staff were very professional yet warm and friendly. efficient and knowledgable when enquiring on directions to some of the places in milan. i have no problems with the room being small. it's clean and definitely has all the required facilities a room requires. walking distance (and a lovely walk, passing some museums along the way) to the duomo / fashion streets. breakfast was great
Great location, lovely hotel and excellent value”
I had an excellent stay at this hotel. I'd read previous reviews, so I knew it would be a great option but it still delivered above my expectations. The buffet breakfast was excellent (and included in our rate), the spa was lovely and rooms were very clean with everything I needed. Previous review suggested that the location of the hotel would make it noisy - but I don't agree at all. The hotel was very quiet compared with hotels that I've stayed in other cities, so no need to be concerned if you've seen those comments. You can hear the metro a little in the spa but there was no traffic noise to speak of or metro noise in our room (level 5). I actually couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. I've stayed in hotels all over Europe and I think this hotel is excellent value for money and suitable for solo travelers, couples and families alike.
Excellent location, decent room and decoration ”
I had a pleasant stay there. There is a metro station ( red line - most attractions are on the red line) right at the front of the door. There are many shops and resturant around the hotel . The room design is classic and decent. Plus, free access to the spa ( sauna , steam and a mini massage pool) . This hotel definitely worths for money. If I come Milan again, would definitely stay again.
Very good location.”
Stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel is clean & size of room is good. Staff are friendly. Perfect location. Easy access to Metro, lots of food places & whole stretch of shopping area. Only 3 stops away from Duomo. Will stay here again when we visit Milan next time! :)
Enjoyable stay at a nice hotel”
In general, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was conveniently located on Corso Buenos Aires - a long street for shopping. It's also a 1 minute walk away from the Portia Venezia metro station and a 20 minutes walk to the Duomo. I paid for a single room, but they upgraded me to a double room. What a relief because the double room ended up being really small (so I can't imagine how tiny a single room must be). The room I stayed in was on the first floor and every so often I could hear a gentle rumbling sound. My guess is that the sound is coming from the metro line below the hotel whenever a train pulls into the station. It wasn't very loud so I was ok with it. One thing I did have a slight problem with is that the room was way too warm. There was an AC in the room and a temperature control wall unit but both were not working. I guess they had been disabled for the winter so I ended up having to open the windows to cool down the room.
Exceptional”
This hotel and the staff were excellent. They brought up to our room on arrival a beautiful candle lit fruit cake for my daughters 21st birthday, what a lovely touch, only wish we had been in Milan longer. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Great location, nice spa.”
We stayed here for 3 days in early Aug 15. The location was great, directly on a main shopping street in Milan so you could just walk outside for shopping, meals and bars. The hotel condition was good, room was clean, adequately spacious. Our stay also came with a free spa treatment which was very nice. We also had dinner at the hotel one night. They had a limited summer menu during that time so we didnt have the usual menu. The food quality was average in comparison to the price.
Second home from home”
The stuff is very attentive and accommodative, especially Ludovica. Breakfast could be a little better. And the rest is excellent. Stayed in different hotels in Milan, even in 5*, but always come back here.
overall very good for business travellers”
I am an Australian business traveller who goes to Milan each year. I have been trying to find the right hotel which combines many greats: location, food, room, staff, internet & value. This hotel was great for location as it was right at the metro as well as being on the main shopping colonnade with many great restaurants very close, food was terrific especially breakfast, staff were helpful and efficient and all spoke good English. There was also quick reliable free internet available everywhere. However I found my single room with a single bed very small indeed. I could hardly get into the shower it was so small and I would not want to spend one extra minute in my closet which posed as a bedroom. Lastly the cost was very high for the overall offering. It is a shame about the single room but I have mixed feelings about the hotel because they got so many things right. I am still looking for the "right" hotel
Best Hotel in Milan!!”
Excellent facilities, very clean, good service, friendly staff,in one of the best comercial roads of Milan, very good breakfast, free mini bar at the room, only 10-15 minutes walk distance from Duomo.
Excellent location for Milan!”
The hotel is fantastic for any stay in Milan. Not only is it near public transport, it's also near many restaurants and shops! would highly recommend to everyone.
Luxury”
We only stayed one night, the hotel was lovely, the staff helpful us with onwards plans, expensive but this is Milan. Great location near shopping areas.
Excellent location, next to subway ”
Hotel was okay, rooms and bathroom a bit dated, but the location is very good for shopping and sightseeing in Milan. The subway station is literally in front of the hotel. Breakfast was also good.
Exceptional”
all great nice, clean rooms, nice personnel, great facilities, top location Milan lobby people need to learn better English
Location comes on top. Staff are professional. ”
Hotel located very well into central area of Milan. The staff were professional in serving you a distinguishable service. Breakfast was normal as an Italian breakfast and nothing remarkable to say. Try to go higher floors as you will feel the noise of underground metro in lowers. Interior design is quite attractive in European classic touchs. Back streets of the hotel there are plenty of good, no but excellent dinning shops. Restaurant collection as not only Italian, moreover international ones.
