Acceptable for last minute booking”
-I liked the room and the instagramable facilities. -Staff needs to be trained for customer services and communication skills. -Staff needs to focus on their job because sometimes they're happy watching videos in youtube while their on duty over giving answers the inquiry of their guest.
The place is nice and cozy. With ref, aircon, cable TV, warm comforter and kettle. However, my pillow smells saliva so I have to turn it on another side and we share one bathroom and toilet with 2 other rooms.
The hotel is situated near cafes and restaurant. It's just few minutes away from the airport and downtown. They have this homey feel and a lot of area you can sit on and relax. One thing they need to improve on is their bathroom.
Good for a stop over”
We had to spend a night in dumaguete to go to Siquijor the next morning got in in the evening. It was New Years day so they didn't have anything to eat. Food service was closed. It has a lovely entrance garden area. The room is small but all you need as.of Aircon..we had a shared bathroom witch was fine because it seems like we were the only ones on our floor. For a night stay is fine about 15 min on a trycicle to the port. And airport too.
Nice place and less than 10 mins derive to the downtown, and you could even walk to the Lantaw nearby for dinner (which I think is the best restaurant we have tried in Philipines. The breakfast is good while the massage is ehhh, just soso. Nevertheless, it will be a good place to relax yourself, sitting or staying in the little pool chatting with your friend.
Not living up to its name (no wow factor)”
Lest start with positive - we asked for breakfast to be served earlier than 7am and they did for the first morning. Free Breakfast serving was satisfying! So that’s good. On our second day the breakfast that we requested for take out at 4:30am in time for our early flight was not served on time (4:45am and still not ready) and they are saying that breakfast is only good for 2 vs our total of 3 pax. They could have advised us the night before. We left disappointed and empty handed. Reception staff could use more training on hotel hospitality - she is not warm and welcoming at all. About the room interior, the bathroom door knob has seen better days, it’s super rusty, sink faucet is hard to close, room doesn’t smell nice. My travel group all agreed that they could have spent on those room essentials first before they splurge on all their decorative pieces in and outside of the room.
WORST HOTEL EVER!!!”
I cannot even give 1 positive comment about this hotel. Staff are unfriendly, unapproachable and unprofessional. rooms and facilities are the worst. Photos shown were nice and modern but in reality, it’s old and dirty. Toilet is too close to the sink, my legs do not even fit. Shower curtains were so nasty. Water in the shower was weak and drain is clogged. There was a huge rat at the common area. I even had to book for another hotel that same night because it was that bad.
Saw its good times long ago.....”
Staff first was not friendly, but after a talk becoming nicer. Some rooms have to been renovated, and especially the entrance/garden! There are rats running around, Mosquito nets are not connected with the wall. Some Mosquitos in the room. Food (good!) is available, but from outside. Swimming Pool is open now, but very small 2x3 meters or so..... My Premier Suite wasn't 35m2, but 21m3. Why not can I put some pictures here?!! A picture would say more than 1000 words.
Not worth the money ”
Staff is not really attentive. We had to request for towels and rag. There was a big gap on the door so u can see through. The toilet is so small that I could take a dump while brushing my teeth ... not worth the money
Pros - lounging area was Instagram worthy Cons: Response to queries - no response was ever given to any of our concerns prior to our actual stay. When we checked in and asked the Front Desk clerk why this was so, she brushed it off initially. When the same concern was repeated to her, all she said was that they were "busy". That kind of behavior towards a client is uncalled for. Staff - named Mira was so inefficient, snobbish and unhelpful. She is not fit at all to be manning the Front Desk Room - was relatively okay. Except that the first room we were assigned to had a defective a/c. The other room we used had leaking toilet water valve and bathroom was really small. One towel had holes in it even!!!

No water for our last day”
Stayed here for 2d3n. It was a great place. interior was Balinese-inspired. Rooms are spacious and bed super comfy. The shared bathroom is also clean and has a functional heater and flush. The location is superb as it was across Angkols, which had amazing lechon and local ulam. just a few blocks were other great restos. It was also near the sea port and airport. What threw us off and ruined the experience was the water being cut off on our last day, my boyfriend has to fetch water several times and bring it in our room on the 2nd flr. Beware the water is cut off at 7am everyday. The AC unit is also very loud so there were instances our sleep was disturbed.
Pleasant lounge area and the WiFi works OK. The room's bathroom is extremely outdated, rusty shower, moulded walls, chipped fornitures and the bed sheets were most probably not clean. Breakfast options is limited and the room needs refurbishments.
Wow Hotel is an old house converted to a tourist accommodation. The place is a bit far from the famous Dumaguete boulevard. Due to picky motorcycle drivers in the city who always ask for an add-on fare on top of the regular fare, I decided to just walk to reach the boulevard. My room is okay but the toilet and bathroom is very small and a shared one. Upon entering the hotel, the interiors are a bit dusty, it's like no one had cleaned it for a week. The receptionist is not that happy to welcome me as guest. They're not that accommodating. There are interiors that are a bit old and not well maintained, some wood are broken and some of the areas need repainting. The place could have been improved.
Vaue for money is great with Wow hotel. Just a trike away from rizal blvd. first day, the receptionist was not very accommodating, didnt even greet us upon our arrival. The room that i booked was spacious and have a comfy bed. However, the door of the cabinet was loose, the a/c was not cooling, there are mosquitoes in the room, no complimentary water. Take note this is their executive room. We asked to be transferres since the a/c wasnt cold enough after an hr we’ve stayed in the room. The girl at the front desk and probably one of their crew there said that it’s just hot around that time of day and the ac will soon cool off after dawn. So, we went around the blvd, had our dinner and went back past 7pm. The room was pretty hot still. That is when they transferres us to a premier room. Rooms looks a bit old already. But the place itself is a home transformed to a boutique hotel so there is a homey feel of the place. Smoking area is at the lounge benches outside the house. Food if you will order breakfast is a fixed 120 bucks and they start serving at 730am. If u want an early breakfast, they will just serve bread and coffee. Better buy something outside if u have an early tour d next day.
Nice, tranquil place that offers value for money”
Pros: Quiet, clean, buddhism-inspired hostel with a convenient spa. Took a lot of photos of the furniture because they were good. Only con is that it is not very close to where the night life is, but not really a big issue.
Lovely quirky little place”
We were only here for one night but they kept our baggage safe for us whilst we went to Siquijor for a week. Nice clean room, lovely staff, couldn't complain about anything. For people staying longer.... the pool isn't a pool, just a little plunge pool surrounded by a wall.
We stayed here for overnight since we had to renew our passports in Dumaguete. The place is accessibe to restaurants and mall. Plus factor: we arrived early and requested for ECI and it was granted. Thank you WOW team.
Great hotel, recommended, beware revenue maximisation”
Great hotel in reasonable location. Some staff friendly. When we checked out they tried to charge us for drinks from minibar which we never had and also tried to charge us for included breakfast. This is in line with the comments other travellers have said regarding trying to get more out of clients. Beware. We refused to pay and that was the end of the matter.
Aesthetics Hotel Only”
Bad customer service. Pure aesthetics designs hotel only, same as room. If you are into pictures, this hotel will be a choice for you, but for relaxation and rest, you have to think twice. Pool without water, unattended and not accommodating staff. Super small bathroom, only one can fit inside. Not cold aircon, no service water inside your room so better buy a cold water in 711.
