A perfect stay!”
My stay at the Wyndham Canterbury was fantastic in every way. I was in town for a stressful work event, and coming home to the Wyndham each day felt like home - peaceful, relaxing, convenient, and comfortable. I reserved a 1BR suite, and called to request a corner room near the rear of the hotel to be far from the street noise on Sutter. Boy did they deliver! I got Rm. 712 - a beautiful, spacious, very quiet suite. It's even positioned right next to the laundry room, and I heard nothing but the occasional guests speaking in the hallway in surrounding rooms. Customer service was exceptional. They always greeted me as I passed by the front desk, and were happy to help if I had any requests. They seemed genuinely interested in making my stay as pleasant as possible. I loved walking into the gorgeous lobby each day. Yes, they tried luring me in to a timeshare pitch right after I checked in - after reading reviews, I was expecting it. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I was running late for dinner with a friend, so couldn't stop at the Concierge for my "free gift". If I have one complaint about my stay, it's that they called my room each morning at 9am to follow up with the pitch, which woke me as the phones cannot be silenced. There are lots of conveniences included: ice and snack machine, free laundry, a large, clean gym with lots of equipment, an entertainment room, plus a business center with printers. The hotel is positioned just a couple of blocks from Union Square (it's an uphill walk from Powell St. Station - just so you're prepared!) and felt totally safe. I would suggest not venturing south of Sutter St, as things feel pretty sketchy as you head west. But Sutter St itself is totally fine, with lots of foot traffic. I highly recommend this hotel; it will be my #1 choice next time I visit SF!

Honestly this hotel hits all the high notes! Staff was impeccable. Service, location, room, amenities was all great!! My family and I ran into the facilities manager in the elevator and he was so warm and kind and asked us if everything was working well. That man made the stay just a bit more special!

Perfect hotel i never had before ”
First of all , all the stuff are so kind and helpful. They are so professional. The lobby of the hotel was very gorgeous. We had a kitchen very useful and all equipment are perfect ( dishes, wine glasses, coffee machine. House keeper is alway ready to help us 24 hours. We stayed one week here , i will surely come back to this hotel. I think this hotel is best hotel in San Francisco. Thanks to all the staffs who make our travel perfect.

Lovely room”
I asked for a quiet room and I got it. There was no noise coming in from the hall or anyone through the walls, didn't hear anyone else's toilet flushing or shower running. Like I said, quiet. And the windows open!

I had a glitch in checking in which was a bit a hassle since they are not a hotel the procedures are different. They don’t clean the room in between your stay. Love that the size of the room. It had dishwasher microwave and you can cook food as well. It can fit 4 people comfortably. There is also a washer and dryer if you need to wash clothes at the end of each floor. It has a gym as well if you want to excercise.

Stayed for 4 nights with my sister Pros: Friendly and helpful Staff , rooms are big and New, complete Kitchen ,2 TVs with options for chromecast and complimentary Laundry detergent with easy to operate washing machine and dryer located every Other floor. Safe environment, front door only can be accessed by resident card and security available any time of the day . Cons : Location - 10-15mins walk frm Union Square - it is quite a hike coming up, Bart station is further away too . No daily cleaning provided although the amenities are sufficient to last till the last day. Competitively priced. Best for lightly packed travellers or young adults who enjoys the walk.

Staff overall were very nice and best part of stay. The suite was spacious and kitchenette had pretty much everything we needed. Beware - the "concierge" isn't really a hotel concierge there to help you book tours. They're salespeople trying to rope you into a timeshare presentation. They will offer you free breakfast but you have to agree to sit through a 2 HOUR presentation. I was there on vacation, and just wanted some help booking a tour and maybe restaurant recommendations. But I tried to not let that experience sour the whole stay. Because other than the sales people, the staff were all so nice. And it's a nice place to stay in a great location.

Location is perfect near to Union Square, China town etc., The staff for resort membership is too annoying because even in the middle of our sleep she will call us to ask how we are and if we are available for breakfast, presentation etc. No free room clean up provided during our 6 nights stay :(. Free cleaning should be provided since we fully paid the room. No slippers were provided too. Room size is big enough and with kitchen utensils.
