Charm Pool, Sky Bar and Sky Walk at the hotel are undergoing maintenance, scheduled until October 25, 2024. The third building of the hotel will also undergo maintenance and has no expected completion date. The hotel still has 2 other buildings, swimming pools and other entertainment services for guests. - I rented 2 rooms here, my family has 5 members. The receptionist helped me arrange for the 2 rooms to be close to each other. I think it's better to go in the low season, because going during peak times like my family did is not very recommended as prices are higher and the quality doesn't improve much. - Pros: Nice staff, very helpful Free electric shuttle around the 3 buildings is convenient Beautiful view, has a swimming beach and a nice pool Pleasant smell in the room Quite close to the center, convenient for dining and entertainment Buffet restaurant with a variety of dishes, not too outstanding but flavorful enough - Cons: Not the hotel's fault, but during peak tourist season, many guests from various places come, and their awareness is poor, making the environment and culture in the hotel uncomfortable. Prices during peak season are high compared to the quality of service provided.
It started all on check in , the guy couldn’t find our reservation, than he found but said it’s only for 1 day not five . I asked how come you deducted than money for 5 days , silence, another 10 minutes later finally everything was settled. The room itself was nice size , but clearly a lack of good housekeeping, which confirmed the following days , since our room was never cleaned before 4 or 5 pm and in the morning no housekeeping on the floor even after 10:00am. Breakfast had a nice selection, but when the weekend came and the hotel started to fill , you found most to everything empty on the buffet and it took them ages to restock. I guess Managment is a big problem in this resort , because in 5 days I have not seen 1 manager in any department of the hotel! It is a pity this hotel is in a very nice location and it could be a top resort with the right management. Most employees were really nice ,but you could see that they stressed to the maximum.
We chose Flamingo because of the location and the fact that it has private beaches and swimming pools as well as unobstructed views of the bay. We arrived at high peek holiday season so the resort was very full. The room was spacious and breakfast was plentiful with many choices of different cuisine. I wanted to give a shout out to Linh, one of the medical staff, who literally saved my life. My asthma was exacerbated by previous trip to Sapa as well as a vaccine that I had o get during the trip. Linh not only gave her care and attention after midnight, she also went out of her way to look for an inhaler and medicine for me after she left work the next morning. She could easily gave her responsibilities to other medical staff, but she really took care of me and made sure that I'm on a path to getting better. Thank you, Linh for your amazing service. The care and attention you gave me was one of the highlights during my stay at Flamingo.
The staff were exceptional. Cat Ba Flamingo 1 had Cuong and he helped me through so many issues and questions. The valet helped us find lost luggage left in a taxi. Using their cameras they were able to find and return our things. Couldn’t say anything bad about the staff at Flamingo 1. Due to the typhoon, Flamingo 3 and many amenities were closed. Which is understandable and they are working on repairs non-stop. They are working on getting everything back up to where it used to be. Our room was quite clean but found a few missed sweeping spots. The safe in our room wasn’t closing properly so we used a lock for our suitcase. Great selection of tv channels! Have not been to a hotel yet that offered such a variety and your name is on the menu screen as a greeting. The private beach was a great relief because you always worry about yourself and your things. But we left our shoes by the chairs and walked along the beach for quite some time. The breakfast we had was buffet style. There are a lot of guests but they work hard to keep everything stocked. I found the food bland at times, it comes with large buffets when there is a lot of quantity. But there are condiments around to help get the food to your taste. There weren’t many bars open which made finding drinks hard. But the strip outside the hotel down the road has plenty of restaurants and shops. The nightlife is quite lively and for kids you can rent light up bikes/etc. If you get dropped by by bus or anything else, make sure you get an electric car up to the hotel. It is only $10,000 per person in a full car and $50,000 per car if there are fewer than 4 possibly? We were a family of 3. Don’t take a cab or let anyone grab your bag. They will charge you $100,000dong just to go over the hill (we got bamboozled). Stick with the hotel and ask questions when you need to. Don’t let anyone push you around to take something you’re not comfortable with. We look forward to coming back with more of our family and hopefully by then, most of the construction will be done.

“Total Relaxation for a Solo Traveller”
Excellent stay, from the start to the end of my 5 days there, as I am a beach-lover! Staff were friendly, professional, approachable and accommodating! As the resort is large, they not only gave me a handout of Flamingo Hotels information, but also sent it to me via WhatsApp. It helped having that digital copy when planning my day. Breakfast buffets were excellent. Lots of choice and magnificent sea views. Flamingo is self-contained, with hotel access to all three Cat Co beaches. Hence, I needed only leave the resort for tours, arranging with each operator to collect me from Hotel 1. As three hotels make up the group, moving from Hotel 3 to services/meals/beaches in the other 2 hotels did require lifts and time-consuming walks across connecting bridges, from which sea views were stunning. One of the bridges even had the option of diverting across to a lookout tower. My room was spacious and although not ocean-facing, had a pretty natural landscape view. Everything required was provided. Wifi connection was easily accessible for all my devices, without needing a password, with the added bonus of good internet speed. As I booked in September, hotel and activity prices were cheap. Fortunately, there was only light rain on the last 2 days Should you too be wanting a relaxing wind-down, with quick access to clean and welcoming beaches, I highly recommend Flamingo Hotel.
