Xcape Resort at Taman Negara

The overall cleanliness is awful. Bed sheets and pillow had a very strong smell and the floor are very dirty with a lot of hair and dust. Hopefully the cleanliness for the chalet can be improve.

Resort is walking distance to jetty to board the boat @ RM1 to bring us across to their National Park for trekking. Room is simple with mini fridge, aircon but no TV. Staffs r helpful n friendly. John is our indispensable person to mention here. He had lived in Germany for more than 30 years. He was the one to prepare our everyday meals. We 'placed' our daily meal with him and he would be happy to customise our orders. On our last day, he drove over 1.5hrs in morning just to get fresh stingray for our dinner order. He cooked amazing curry, every dish are awesome though a bit salty for us. Nothing was left on our plates, too delicious

Nice chalet for a family. The room was spacious and location was good. Have big parking area to accomodate guests. The only thing I dont really like was the breakfast. It was not up the standard for tht place. Would suggest for improvement.

3D2N really a fabulous stay!!! Given 1st nite a dormitary of 6-doublebed bcoz of late booking over Agoda but offered a very reasonable price (RM 150 per dormitary means per bed of six only RM 25!!!). 2nd nite given upgraded to 3-bedding room Deluxe Room for RM 250 (just top-up another RM 100 of the initial dormitory price) without b'fast bcoz we want to experience local eateries surrounding providing multiple choices of b'fast menu on the way to the dock/jetty which is just a 5-minute drive or 10-minute morning walk. Thanks a lot to a friendly front-desk receptionists. Really Enjoy our whole stay with fabulous experience exploring the Kuala Tahan National Park

We came earlier so we waited for our room to be cleaned.(nice of them) After some time they give us the keys. But the room was really dirty- hair and dust on the floor, spiders on the ceiling and the bedcloth WASN'T changed after previous guests... My daughter found used sock under the bed. We asked it to be changed but they nly changed the bed linen... Awfull :( The resort looks really old and it is not cleaned properly but still it is the best what you can find there... The pool is really nice and the view is stunning.

We have spend in Xcape Resort one night with friends. Initially we planed budget trip, thus looked for cheep accommodation with good feedbacks. The hotel consist of few buildings and a bunch of bungalows. Rooms are clean and equipped with A/C, staff is friendly and helpful as we had been attacked by bloodsuckers who are everywhere in Taman Negara jungle, receptionist did the best providing us with cream and medical patch to cure the wounds.

This Hotel offers chalets that are spacious and clean. It is not far from the park and if a good value for the money. We did enjoy our stay at the Xcape Resort at Taman Negara and especially enjoyed the Taman Negara Park. This hotel is a good value for the money and is a good choice when visiting Taman Negara.

Very good..!! Upon check-in, the receptionist (Siti Zulaikha) was very helpful in explaining to us the activities available around Taman Negara, at length. She gave us some advice and recommendations to fill up our days. Besides the adventure of exploring the jungle, the best part was having simple breakfast 'kampung style' just around the corner (literally). There are also few floating restaurants on the river that serve local & western foods, day & night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Taman Negara, not really at the hotel (because we just came back to take shower and sleep) but the green surrounding, quiet environment and easy 'kampung' life. Definitely will come back again - just to relax.

It would be better if the bed sheet are cleaner we request to change the sheet instead they change the room and still with bedbugs on the blanket , overall it can be better and a better walk path to the backpackers lodges would be appreciated !

Das resort ist von der Lage her sehr schön gelegen, vor allem der Pool ist ein Highlight! Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer / Terrasse lässt jedoch sehr zu wünschen übrig. Ich würde aber wahrscheinlich wieder dort buchen, da die anderen Gästehäuser / Resorts nach Austausch mit anderen Reisenden nicht viel besser sind in Punkto Sauberkeit und Engagement des Personals. Internet wie fast überall im Park ziemlich schlecht. Das Frühstück ist definitiv kein Highlight.

The chalet was good. The place equipped with the large parking. About 300m walk from the boat/jetty to National Park. Better to hv breakfast along the road as hotel only serve so so breakfast.

Good location at taman negara & reasonable rate.

If you have a lot of luggage, do not take Dom due to the road is under maintenance, your car can't go inside, you have to walk under the sun for about 100m to reach the room. End up we have to switch room, but the room got a lot of ants, noisy aircond. FYI, currently the swimming pool is under maintenance as well.

Location of the dorms were really isolated. At night, the resort forgot to switch on the lights. We were groping in the dark back to the dorm. Awful experience when we were the only souls in the whole dorm area!

This was better than expected after reading the reviews. The staff were helpful, the breakfast was delicious with its own egg station and the pool was nice even though it looked a little murky. We paid more than what we have been in hostels but in such a small town it was great.

The stay was adequate. I had a quad room so everyone had enough space. But the room had issues that needed addressing: a broken door, no hot water and poor tv reception. Disappointing for the amount charged. The breakfast buffet was also a let down.

Resort location is convenient for people to go to the floating restaurants or start their adventure trips. About 5 mins on foot. Some small local cafes are nearby. The reception area was rather dark and stuffy, I think the resort wanted to save on lights and aircon. Check-in was smooth. Our hotel room was one of the huts. It had a lot of ants going around the floor. And the bath area had a very strong urine stench. It could be done by the previous occupant as I used soap after that the stench was reduced. Facilities and toiletries were very minimal, but it has a few charging points. I have a bad experience when the entire area had a blackout that same evening which lasted from 5pm-2am. That included our resort and some floating restaurants. Mutiara resort on the other side suffered no blackout as it was probably on its own generator. The resort offered us a pack of candles and match sticks to tolerate for the time being. It was very unpleasant. I had problems sleeping due to the heat trapped in the hut and there was no wind outside. I had to wait until 2am when electricity was restored. Breakfast was not too bad, as I did not hold very high expectations. It is a mix of American breakfast and local. I thought they have butter slices but upon tasting them they were vegetable oil. Mutiara Resorts will be the better choice for me.

excellent. Staff amended our booking without any problems and were very friendly. The manager allowed us to check out late (2pm) free of charge so that we could shower before leaving for KL after our morning activity (canopy walk). Will definitely stay there again.

A nice hotel with a perfect location in a nice garden 3 minutes walk from the park entrance. Very quite surrounding, rooms are clean, and after a long day nature walking the swimming pool in the evening was perfect. The pool is not big for perfect sportswimming but for families with young and teen children still good enough to refresh and have fun. The breakfast was sufficient, but it took quite a long time to get it, the toast and jam, tea and coffes is selfservise, so you can start with it, till they bring your plate with eggs..

Good location to the Taman Negara resort and friendly & helpful staff. Room was very large, clean and serviced every day (we stayed 4 nights). Breakfast was very good, coffee, toast and local offerings. Air con was good and needed in the jungle and although the room was a little overpriced for Malaysia, given the accommodation in Kuala Tahan is either very overpriced resorts or 10 MYR dorm bunks, this was a good option. There is only wifi in the hotel reception area which can get a little flaky with the number of users.
