Nice quiet spot near a transit rail station”
Liked the serenity of the hotel. No night spots in the hotel thus no traffic of drunk rowdy guest in the hotel. Peaceful both at night as well as the day. A well patronised location as i saw guest from schools, businessmen and families. Hotel staff were attentive and responded well to queries and request. As its beside a rail station, it was easy to get around town if exploring on your own without the need to get a taxi. The back streets were busy during evenings and one could get to the bell tower simply by walking around 15 mins if you are in the mood. The route there would be littered with smaller shops selling local food.
Good hotel some staff spoke English but all friendly ”
Good breakfast clean rooms
Short but pleasant stay”
A very brief visit in early Spring. Received an upgrade to the top-floor room but found signs of wear-and-torn: the ceiling showing cracks, meaning roof top needs major maintenance work. Carpet was not hoovered; Evian water (charged) was not provided (so I was very perplexed when the front-desk asked me upon checkout if I had taken any beverage in the room - well, there was none in sight !!) The AC provided heating, which was a bit too warm for me. By request the Housekeeping sent up a staff member to open the room window for me. This was a tremendous help !! Hotel is served by both subway and multiple bus lines. I used the buses instead (1 RMB per ride :)
Gorgeous hotel ”
The common areas of this hotel are so lovely. This is good, because there is only wifi in these common areas. They have an indoor pool, so don't forget your swim cap (required and for sale there). The rooms are decent. This hotel is only a 3-5 minute walk from the Muslim quarter area and there's great street food right across the street. There's also a subway station only 1-2 minute walk. Great location. The pool, colorful fountain, and fish pond made it a great place for young kids.
Comfortable stay, excellent location”
Good value for the money ”
Decent room but no wifi in room”
The rooms were great in the hotel - clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet. But wifi only extended to the lobby which was a pain considering we were travelling across Asia and had itineraries to plan and flights to book. There was also no breakfast included in the price which is usually inclusive in our experience across SE Asia. The staff were helpful when asked to help but as is usual in hotels of this size it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. A pleasant stay.
location not appropriate to hotel”
be prepared for usd100.00 hotel deposit but refundable if no incurred expense or damage.
Good location flooded with "bus tour" travelers”
This is not a nice hotel for individual travelers, couples, or anyone traveling with children. The hotel is mostly used by larger tourist agencies, who ship busloads of tourist groups to this hotel. The constant coming and going of groups of 50 people is annoying and you'll have to fight hard to get a table for breakfast (breakfast is not great either). Staff were really friendly though and we enjoyed drinking a beer at the end of the day next to the "pond".
Great service, and great breakfast!”
Rooms were as expected and for the price, in a big Chinese city, very good service, and also internet in rooms. Biggest plus was the breakfast which by Chinese standards was fantastic - a full western-style breakfast available.
efficient, near new and good location ”
Friendly and eficient hotel. Very busy every day, but works well and without complaint. For those who do not mind browsing the nearby streets on foot, it is a terrific spot. Also is close to main railway station. Executive room was great and reasonable in price.
Cosy and nice hotel with an ancient Chinese touch!”
Nice and cosy hotel with one of the best toilets at a reasonable rate that you can find in Xi'an. There is a very big statue outside the lobby of the Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di with 2 generals in Ancient Persian clay style with an Ancient Chinese touch. Very nice! Doors to rooms are electronically controlled and keycards are used instead of traditional door keys which makes it more convenient and safe!
Good Hotel, friendly staff”
Stayed 2 nights to see tericotta warriors, along way to walk to bus station/train station although we did, and then got a taxi back. room spacious and comfortable, no room service breakfast buffet with large selection, also had reasonable evening meals as we didn't fell like walking in to the main centre.
nice hotel at 15 min from the downtown”
we stayed there for 5 days, the hotel is cleaned and the room we had, was nice. hotel is a bit far from the downtown, 10min by tuktuk. but this made us in trouble since after 9pm it is very difficult to get a taxi or a tuktuk, so at the evening we had to have an early dinner breakfast wasn't included with the room and they charged us internet wasn't included with the room and they charged us for 1 full day, even at the business center it is not free
We have the most bizzare request from the hotel when we were checking in. We were asked to check out the hotel by 8 the next day because of a meeting being held here tomorrow for security reason.
The 4-persons room wasn't a 4-persons room (but a 2 person's room with an extra bed: max 3 persons). So the information on which we based our decision to stay at this hotel was not trustworthy. After a complaint (and insisting a little) we were resettled in another room that was adjusted satisfactorily for 4 persons. We dined at the hotel once (as only eaters in the restaurant), and had breakfast (not included and with RMB 50,00 per person quite expensive). Very heavily Christmas-decorated, and that was the only (good) Western feature that this hotel had to offer.
Great pool. Wonderful lobby. Far above average.”
This hotel is a full notch above the average Xian hotel. Many other hotels rate themselves as four star and are really only three. This is a very clean property, a good breakfast buffet, a nice indoor swimming pool, and a beautifully designed lobby.
Great hotel, rooms large & comfortable”
recommend hotel as convient, good facilities, and while english is limited had no trouble in communicating with staff who where very friendly. dining was good and food nice.
Average hotel, nothing special, but not bad”
The location of the hotel was not bad in that there were some shops nearby - there was also a cash machine nearby (talking of which there was one in the hotel although it was not working when we stayed at the hotel). The hotel did have tours to the warriors, although they were slightly overpriced. The staff spoke a good quality of English, especially compared to the rest of China.
