very strong smoke smell, no electricity”
the technical support staff is good.
the hotel overall is smoking hotel. there is no non smoking floor. the smoke smell is so strong. i stay there for 4 nights. 1st night very bad smoke smell in my room, it could be due to the smoking smell from previous people. 2nd night, it was black out, no electricity (whole area), the hotel no gen-set. so we have to stay in black in the room for around 25 min. during the black out, room intercom system was not working, lift is not working, emergency stair case also a bit massy. 3nd night i stay, no hot water supply for 12 hours. the weather outside is around 10 degree celcious, we have to shower with cold water. after that the hotel get some hot water by truck, but the water is so yellowish, only the 4th night i stay, the hot water supply back to normal. the only good point is that their technical support staff is very helpfull. for customer who not fluent in chinese language, please don't stay here, you will be helpless because non of the staff can speak even a little english.

Very good on comfort, space, and cleanliness”
Comfort, space, and cleanliness
For less than US$70 per night, this hotel offers a great combination of comfort, space, and cleanliness. The staff were courteous and very prompt to queries. It's difficult to hail a cab at 5.30am in the morning, so a day before my flight, they helped me secure a taxi to pick me up from the hotel to the airport for a flat fee of RMB160. Within the room, you get complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, and daily replenishment of towels plus 2 bottled water. Many cable channels are offered on the TV but they are all in Chinese. Depending on your length of stay, the location might not be ideal, as it's quite a distance from the nearest metro station. Unless you're staying for a day or two where you don't mind taking cabs to places you want to visit, the long walks to and fro the metro station might become tiresome quickly if you intend to use the metro to explore the city from this hotel daily. Another negative was the spotty Wi-Fi connection. I'm not sure if it applies to the whole building but I stayed on the 6th floor and my Wi-Fi connection kept getting disconnected. Do avoid staying in room 618, as both the Wi-Fi and wired (LAN) internet connections in this room were completely unreliable. After several rounds of tests with the staff, they finally moved me to room 626 where the wired (LAN) internet connection was stable for the remainder of my stay. My stay didn't include breakfast.

Near main road, walking distance to muslim quarter”
About 10 mins walk to bell tower.
Nothing much to complain about. There is a convenience store across the road.

Nice hotel close to city centre”
Comfortable beds, nice decor, centrally located
Nice hotel close to drum tower and muslim quarter. I asked for a quiet room, and got it. The hotel is very modern and nicely decorated. The most negative about this hotel, is that hardly anyone of the staff speaks any English. They use a translation program on an iPad to communicate. That was a bit frustrating, but the staff is really nice and try to help you if you need anything.

Good value hotel close to the main tourist sites”
Value for money (£60 per night), location, cleanliness
For the first night I was allocated a room on the street side of the hotel which was very noisy. The city never seems to go to sleep! My request to be moved the following morning to a quieter room on the back of the hotel was readily agreed to. I was even provided with a computer as I had booked a 'digital de luxe room.' The main negative was that there was no Western style breakfast so I made do with cereal bars and fresh fruit bought in the local market. The staff spoke very little English. It was an interesting experience.

Softest Bed In China”
Amazing Bed, Nice Modern Room, Large Shower
This is a nice hotel with the best beds in China. Communicating with the staff in English is nearly impossible but there is one girl that does ok. The location is alright with plenty of Chinese restaurants around. The only complaint I have is that they allow smoking in the building and you can smell it coming into your room at times but so does everyone else in China so it really cannot be avoided. Also, be aware that there are 3 locations in Xian and if you just hand a taxi driver a hotel business card you might end up at another location. We did not eat here so I have no comments about the food.
