Two-story room, VIP dining, great artwork around lobby
The location of the hotel was very close to Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City, bus, taxi, and local food. The two-story room was a great choice. It felt like a home away from home. The dinner and lunch service was very good.

The staffs are very helpful, location is convenient
we booked this hotel and extended our stay afterwards because we were so impressive by this convenient location and helpful staffs in this hotel. during our stay my girl friend caught a cold and we asked the hotel staff whether there was any medicine store nearby (it's already after mid night), and after a few minutes one hotel staff, came to our room after calling us and gave us his own pills. this made our extremely moved and we finally wrote a thank you note to him. we will definitely stay in this hotel again when we visit beijing in the future.

Xizhao Temple Hotel, A contemplative hotel”
gorgeous room, temple atmosphere, great staff
a little off the beaten track, but quiet.
We were very happy to arrive at the Xizhao Temple Hotel after our 2 months in Wudang Mountain immersed in Taoist Culture. Our room seemed like contemporary Zen decorations, and the lobby and gardens echoed the ancient temple architecture upon which the hotel was built. Unfortunately, the temple area was being remodeled, but when it is finished it will be a gorgeous area to visit after a meal. The location is quiet and has a few restaurants nearby, as well as an easy place to get a cab and traverse the city to one of the hot spots. We loved coming home after a day of sightseeing to our room with rich wood and cloth decor, luxurious bathroom, and free internet and an additonal internet connection via tv. thus two of us could be on the internet at once. We will return again to Xizhao when we visit Beijing again.

        nice decoration around
this hotel is very nice though the location isn't ideal as it is a bit far away from bus stop and subway station. Only one bus about 5 minutes away. you have to rely on taxi which can be a challenge. A few restaurants around the hotel and there's a good restaurant within this hotel though i didn't try myself. staff are very nice and helpful. but make sure that you put your notice 'no disturb' out over night, otherwise somebody will knock your door 8am to clean your room.

Staff speak a bit of English, very helpful especially the bellboy, very spacious rooms and in excellant condition
I stayed 3 nights and loved the hotel. In is based in South Beijing and it costs about 100 Yuan to get there and is not very easy to find, so keeoing the hotel phone number handy is recommended. On the first day, our bellboy was genuinely very helpful, he took us around to the night streets and to get our express train tickets to Shanghai, which we would have not been able to get on our own, and he spoke very good English. There are no gym facilities and the food at the hotel is not the greatest but the room definitely makes up for it, it was nice and spacious and very clean.

        clean, comfortable
this is nice hotel, i was quite enjoying to stay here. it is very clean, friendly receptionist (but they cant really speak english) and nice peace environment from crowds. one bad thing about the hotel is, the room is unpleasant smoke smell (maybe they allow people to smoke inside??). for the transportation, taxi is everywhere. if you want save your money, take bus no 12 to zhongwenmen just beside the hotel, it cost you 0.40 yuan.

its a refurbished hotel from a historical Chinese temple. If you like the culture, history and the atmosphere then this is a very good place to stay. The location is not very ideal but it is not hard to take a taxi or bus.

A little out of the main tourist areas...in fact a 20 min walk to the nearest subway! However there are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets nearby. Coming out of the hotel, turn right then left at the lights and there is an almost European Style Supermarket...great fresh bread if you have had enough of the rice. Beds to dis for, really hard to make the tours each morning...just couldn't get off them. Bathroom nicely appointed...but watch for the surge in hot water!

        Great Room, Quiet Place”
Clean comfortable room, big comfortable bed, quiet place, close enough to subway and city center
I needed a quiet place to say and hole up for a while and so the hotel was perfect. The room was well up to international hotel standards. The staff were respectful and helpful but not so good at English. I didn't bother with the 66 Yuan buffet breakfast but it is there for those who want to eat on site as are the restaurants which I didn't use and a resonably priced room service option which I also didn't avail of. The location is good enough but 20 minutes plus walk to the Temple of Heaven underground station. Good location for the Pearl Market also. So 5* rooms, 4ish* facilities, 3* location. Internet good once you figure out how to use it.

XiZhao Temple Hotel possesses a variety of merits”
Staff were all too happy to assist us wherever possible
we stayed during the late autumn in beijing, during the off season, and as such did not encounter more than one tourist at the hotel. while it is difficult to say for certain, this hotel seems to be geared more for chinese business trips than for tourists. nonetheless, the english of the hotel staff was more than effective, and they were all too happy to assist us wherever possible, particularly cherry tang, assistant manager. with the exception of the slightly unclean floors, the entire hotel, including the rooms we stayed within was immaculate. the beds were hard, but this is commonplace within all chinese hotels. the facilities provided, such as the internet tv, were impressive. we did not bother with the hotel’s restaurant or breakfast buffet, and instead opted to eat many of our meals at a restaurant 200m down the xizhao middle st to the east. i highly recommend this restaurant – the staff are more than friendly, and the food is excellent. english in the waitresses and waiters is lacking with the exception of xiaqua (pronounced sahkweh). if you have the good sense to visit this restaurant, do not hesitate to ask for her. overall, we have had a very good experience in beijing with the xizhao temple hotel and thanks to agoda for their reliable booking services.

Even the location was not convenient as it far from the nearest subway station, we still recommend this hotel to travelers on business. Need to catch a bus to the nearest subway station. However the environment is so quiet and away from the city noises. The rooms are great and clean and reasonable size. Checking in was quickly done and the staff are very helpful with our request and enquiries.

Fresh and clean room and their staffs are always helpful and service with a smile
Firstly I would like to add that Agoda should include the phone number of the hotel in the voucher. The taxi I took had a hard time finding the hotel. I think he is not local. If the phone number is available, I could have called the hotel from the taxi and let the taxi driver get directions from the hotel. The standard room I booked was upgraded to a deluxe which was great. 2 storey room!! It was very clean and the staff service was excellent. The downside is that it is quite far from the nearest subway station. Need to take a local bus to the subway station and need to wait quite awhile for the bus. Overall, I would say that I am happy and satisfied with my stay and would stay there again if I am back to Beijing

        A delight.”
TVs as computer, great room, helpful staff, quite near from hospital
at first sight, it seems the hotel's small...but it's not, really. the rooms -are- small but they doesn't feel like that, the bed is comfortable, and in an ingenious way, they turned their tvs into computers, with internet connection. windows are plenty, too bad the view isn't so spectacular for the area is more suburban. if you're like me and attracted to the temple lookalike style of the hotel, you won't find it in the rooms, but you will find it in the lobby and the exterior. the staffs are helpful, and while only few have a good grasp of english, they seems to be very willing to help. didn't try the restaurants, but they seem to offer plenty. what i -can- tell is that around the hotel there are good restaurants. it has its flaws: a) location. afaik, it's quite far from the metro, and while the area is well-known, the hotel itself isn't. also, quite far from convenience stores. b) room service aren't 24 hours. come late at night, they only sell instant foods. (afaik.) all in all, though, i definitely recommend this hotel.

        Great Location and spacious bedroom
The hotel is situated in a great location - very close to attractions but in a quiet area that allows you to enjoy your room. The room was spacious and comfortable with added extras such as computer access. Clean and in a good condition. The hotel staff are friendly but there is a bit of difficulty communicating as few of them have a solid grasp of English. Additionally they all seemed to be trainees. All in all a very pleasant stay.

        Quiet Neighborhood, Spacious Rooms
This didn't seem like a hotel -- it's not a skyscraper but a small structure built around a temple, perfect for a quiet visit to China's capital. We appreciated that we could return to the hotel's peace and quiet after a full day's sightseeing in Beijing's mega-tourist sites. The Temple of Heaven (one of the major sites) and the Honquiao Pearl Market are only 20 mins walk away. Lots of good, affordable restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.
