Y Hotel

Booked for 2 rooms, 1 room was very having that awful after-tobacco smell and it was unlivable. The other room had dirty toilet. The hotel compensated us with a bedroom for 3-people which has 1 queen & 1 single bed in their sister hotel (Yomi Hotel) in the city centre. I insisted of having 2 rooms since I booked for 2, they said that Yomi Hotel was fully book as well. So, we have to travel back to the city. When we got there, there were no elevators (which they failed to declare in the first place). They placed us on the 3rd floor, and my 67-yo mother has to climbed up the stairs. They showed us a room with a queen size bed. When I told them, I was promised a room for 3 people, then they showed us to another room. Apparently, the hotel is not fully book at all. I'm very disappointed with all the lying. When I booked the room in Your Hotel, it mentioned about having gym facility. Do not be fooled, the gym is not associated with the hotel. You have to pay to make your way in. Very disappointing. And I think, hotel was ripping us off in brought day-light.

An information displayed on hotel web were totally inappropriate. The hotel was 10km away from town. Staffs hardly speak English. Smelly toilet. No cleaner to make up room. No wifi. No fridge.

In the booking, it says free welcome drink. Staff said, you can only have it tomorrow morning. So the next morning, when we asked the staff )a different staff at the reception counter in the morning), he said, there weren't any welcome drinks. it was only for the boss. That was alright, the worse were the bedsheets, there were stained and we felt itchy lying on it. At first when we entered the room, the toilet flush were not working, so we went down to ask the reception, and one staff went up to fix it. The best part of it was that it is less than RM100, and the toilet sink is nice.

Highly recommended! The room was recently renovated and the room size was good compare with other hotels in Kota Kinabalu. The hotel is located at central of everything, few minutes drive to airport, CBD and local suburbs. The Petit Cafe at lobby serves great locally grown and freshly roasted coffee. Chinese / local restaurants around the hotel were great too.

New and very clean room with necessary amenities provided. Free parking provided, lots of eateries opposite the hotel and a local food court (Lido Square) is few hundred meters or nearly 1KM away. You can get ways cheaper seafood, beers and local foods than those in tourist attraction. (P/S: Can order the hotel shuttle to drop off & pick up from those local places with a little charges 10 - 20RM) I'll definitely recommend this hotel to my family & friends if one needs to get a hotel stay in Kota Kinabalu.

Good value, clean and comfortable. The hotel is recently renovated with spacious good size room, elevator and free car park.
