the room is small for 2 pax”
i am stay for a night with my mother (155cm tall)...somehow the room size is small but it is comfortable. Good value for money. and the staff name Chloe is a very nice person. Tq for all your life-experiences :)
great place to stay, nice staff”
You get value for your money because the place is clean and nice. The staff are very approachable and accommodating, too. Trang was great welcoming me and my friend, and Brandon was so easy to reach via LINE, so all our questions were answered right away. Rooms on the first floor have heated floors, while rooms on the 2nd and 3rd have space heaters. Don't be shy to ask for extra blankets if you need some. :) The rooms are a bit small, though, but unlike other dorms/airbnbs, at least you have a private bathroom in the room. :) You could also borrow adaptors if you don't have one, have the laundry service done, and get tickets/book tours if you want. Plus, the place is just a couple of minutes walk to the metro subway, so it's easy to get around Seoul.
Small room, but comfortable.”
The place is conveniently located (just nearby the subway), however, it is hidden in a secluded corner, and we needed the manager to come out and guide us in. The manager was nice and let us check in early upon advaance request, as our flight would reach Korea early in the morning. The room was small, but it is well equipped with a TV, a fridge, a private bathroom and various toiletries. The staffs were friendly and helpful too! We had a good stay there.
Welcoming and comfortable”
As always, my stay at Suncity Hostel was terrific. I go to Seoul fairly regularly and this place is where I stay each time. I like that it's so close Itaewon but also just a block away from the metro. Unlike some hostels, Suncity is pretty quiet at night. It's just a really nice place to stay. :-)
Always comfortable and friendly”
I come to Seoul on a fairly regular basis, and the Suncity Hostel has become my new "regular" when I'm in town. The staff is always super helpful and friendly, and I always sleep amazingly, which is somewhat rare for hostels, lamentably.
Staff and service was amazing! ”
Overall grey experience! I highly recommend SunCity to anyone that wants to experience the nightlife of Itaewon as it is only about a 3 minute can ride. You cannot beat the service and comfort for the price.
Last-minute, comfortable, amazing staff”
This is the second time I've stayed at Suncity Hostel, and with good reason. The staff are always welcoming and helpful, the rooms clean, and the free breakfast simple but adequate. Having missed the last bus to my town, I had to rush to find a hostel at 8pm that night and was so pleased to find Suncity had an available room. The manager even met me at the subway exit (the hostel can be a bit tricky to find, especially at night). I had a wonderful stay for the second time in a row and will recommend this hostel to my friends.
Hard to find but very friendly”
I had a rough time finding the place at first, but once I did, I had a very nice stay. The room was clean and very welcoming. The manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. As I was preparing to leave, he actually reminded me that I should have breakfast before I go! I did not use many of the facilities but was impressed by what I saw. The location is very near the war memorial museum and Itaewon, so that was very pleasant, as well.
Good choice with reasonable price!”
I suggest this hostel. This is near the train station; bus stop to the airport & you can go around the Itaewon area in the evening without thinking of late train. I choose a room with bunk bed for 2 adults which has the private bathroom inside with shampoo & shower gel, clean. But the bed seems small with tall guy or over-sized guy, pls consider this. The staff is enthusiastic. There is full of hot/cold water. There is a small kitchen with a microwave electrical kettle & full of dishes for everybody to use (the fridge is just for staff, not for customer T_T). In general, I suggest this hostel for you guy, not only private but also a good price comparing a dormitary in the expensive Seoul :))
Value for money”
Location is great. They have basic necessities and everything is OK except there are some stains in the bedsheet but overall, would stay here again.
Bagus.... bersih... lengkap..... deket ma stasiun dan warung
Young, unprofessional staff. Fine for short stays but not for longer stays”
Pros: promiximity to the station and a water filter. The hostel is two minutes away walking from the subway entrance. The neighborhood around its subway stop, Samgakji, does not have much variety of food/entertainment to offer as compared to Itaewon stop but it offers a quiet place and easy-going atmosphere. Cons: poor cleanliness, noisy staff, and thin walls. We stayed in this hostel after living and working in Korea for a few years. We were surprised by how dirty our room was. There was a half-full beer can in the fridge and dust that had never been collected on the bathroom air filter. The floor looked like it wasn't swept either. We could hear everything going on in the common room which was on the same floor as our room, including the laundry machines running, guests and staff talking, watching TV or luggages being rolled. The staff members were talking in the common room between the late hours of 2am and 4am.
Pantry and friendly people”
My first day until seventh day in Yakorea Itaewon were among the best time in my first trip to Seoul South Korea. Our accommodation were really comfy when we were having a queen bed for two persons. The hospitality provided by the receptionist and staffs are excellent. The pantry is a bit small, they should add more table if at one time there` re gonna be more people. Thanks & have a nice day.
Our stay in yakorea itaewon was satisfying. The room was quiet small enough for a couple like us. ”
They were very accommodating. They leave the key at the front desk and a note because we arrived early in yhe morning as we waited in the airport for the subway first trip due to our delayed flight..im very thankful to them..we able to sleep right after we arrived there..i had a good sleep.heater was good.provision of drinking water is commendable..
A place to rest”
Amenities are basic.. shower, bed, aircond, laundry, free drinking water. Just nice for a traveler to freshen up after a day's worth of sightseeing. They even provide TV but never tested it since i was so busy out everyday. The room i stayed in, room 207 has a leaking outflow sink pipe. What was washed down the sink, if you turn on the sink faucet high will enough, the waste water from the sink will flow out the leaking part and down the drain.
Great Experience For My 1st Hostel”
When I travel, I usually stay at a hotel...but my latest trip to Seoul was impromptu so I didn't want to spend $80+ on a room. For my first hostel experience...I have to say...I was pleasantly surprised. YaKorea is a quaint, older property with lots of character. It reminded me of the visits to my grandparent's home when I was a kid. I had no issues or complaints about the other guests...everyone I met was very friendly. But the real jewel of my stay at YaKorea was the staff. These folks really take care of their guests. They always seem to be looking for ways to assist you or make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Another thing that I really liked about YaKorea…was its location. The nearest subway station (a 2-min walk - Line #4 or #6) was two or three stops away from all the places I needed to visit. In fact, if you want to visit the Itaewon area (popular for foreigners) …it’s only 2 stops away. All in all, I’d definitely recommend this place. The staff was great and the price/value was spot on.
