A spectacular Hotel with a great owner. Will be returning soon”
I will eventually buy a house on the outskirts of Kandy in the hill country where it is even cooler, this is where I went to on this visit! I stayed in the Yala National Park at a fabulous hotel called the Yale Park Hotel. Absolutely amazing place with infinity pools outside all of the rooms. The rooms without exception were all massive and really well thought out. A Chinese guy called Wesley bought the place a few years ago and has invested a fortune in making the place awesome! There are even horses there as well as fish ponds and visits from the local monkeys, a white boar and a white buffalo. The views from every aspect of the hotel were awe-inspiring and memorising! So good to wake up and unpack the entrepreneurial stress with a long distance gaze into the far off mountains! Gods creation at its best and in full affect, you cannot help but to be moved by the view. I will look for an old colonial tea plantation house to renovate rather than a new build! I love the Sri Lankan colonial architecture as it is pretty much intact from the Victorian era from when it was built. Probably cost a small fortune but my philosophy and belief system will take care of the finances! I do believe that when you think of something, write it down, unpack it from though to words and then focus positive energy onto it, the subject matter in mind and on paper will begin to manifest itself into reality, you do have to feed the thought pattern with positive affirmations and a focused belief-energy – knowing it is already real and its only the time-line that has to be traveled to make the initial thought into absolute tangible reality. Please check out my Sri Lanka Blog post: http://www.brianroe.co.uk/sri-lanka/ for pictures of Yale Kandy Park.

The perfect place to visit!!”
We arrived the 4th of February to the beautiful Yale Kandy Park, not knowing how it would look like in reality, and i can promisse you that the photos in Agoda was almost nothing in comparasing to reality!! It is so much better! The staff are really really helpfull and nice, making sure you have what you need at any given time:) From the beginning we had only booked 2 nights since our plan was to move on down south, but we ended up staying 5 nights:) The food was really good, our chef served us so many different kinds of curry dishes, tastefull breakfast with fresh fruit every morning, pancakes, tea, bread and so on:) They provided us with tuk tuk drivers so that we could go to Kandy to walk around, visit the Temple of the sacred tooth relic, the Botanical Garden and much more:) The surrounding is stunning:) Thank you so much Ronga, Piyatha, Manju, Madu, Supun, Denish and the rest of you guys for making our trip to Yale Kandy Park so nice! Best regards Sara and Eddin from Sweden:)

A wonderful place”
We stayed at Yale Kandy Park for the second time, as we loved it so much last time that we had to return. And again, it was wonderful. The Hotel is very peaceful and relaxing, a truely lovely place. Owner Wesley was very generous and offered us very good prices on his driver to take us to different tourist locations. Moreover he gave us a free Airport pick up (because it was our second stay at Yale) and also let us ride his horses, which was a wonderful expericence. The only thing that bothered us, was that this time, when the final bill arrived, we had to pay a VERY HIGH amount of money on the very little food we had. It particularly bothered us, because for us, the food situation was the only thing that didn´t work so well. We always had to wait at least an hour for something to eat and as there is no menu, it was quite difficult to work out, what was available. 3 nights we only had vegetarin noddles. We were so surprised about the high price in the end and wondered what happened.

Dear Sophie: Thanks for your valuable feedback. Yale Kandy park is growing fast becasue of kind and valuable guest like you. There must be a misunderstanding on the bill, which is encluded your transport from Yale Kandy Park to Tangalle and all transportation taken place during your stay. We are sorry about the food problem, we were full everyday when you stay here, and everyone stay and take dinner in our resteruant, that made the time of waiting dinner a bit slower then usual, we are surely going to improve it and we hope you will experience better service during your next visit. Best regards, Yale Kandy Park
Great serene place in the hills”
We had a great stay at Yale Kandy Park in Feb 2017. The owner, Wesley and his staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The resort itself is away from the hustle bustle of Kandy and is nicely fitted out and tastefully done. What we loved was the homely atmosphere and the fantastic food we were treated to. Do remember to request Wesley to cook his noodle breakfast for you if you stay - absolutely smashing! The room itself (luxury room) was quite big and comfortable. If you are looking for a nice relaxed place to stay and maybe visit Kandy for 1-2 visits this is a great place to stay and would recommend the same.

Exceptional”
Yale Kandy is amazing. I travel a lot for business and stay in many Hotels, but this is top of the list. Rooms are huge and you have a fantastic outlook down through the valley - sunset directly in front of you. YK is far enough away to get this view, but also close enough to Kandy. Food was cooked right there in front of you in the dinning room - again staring at the view sipping on a beer. Beautiful Sri Lankan dishes throughout dinner and breakfast! And the staff did everything from us and so friendly, including free pick-up from the train we caught right through to the driver they provided when we left (standard fee). We wish we were there longer and have mentioned numerous times that we will be going back to YK one day - highly recommend. Brent and Narelle NZ

Amazing hotel, awesome food and great views”
This hotel is a 30 minute drive from the centre of Kandy but it was absolutely worth staying outside the centre. The hotel is located high on a hill and has breathtaking views. When we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded to a luxury room free of charge which was a lovely surprise. The room was huge with beautiful views from the balcony. We watched the sunset from the balcony which was a wonderful experience. On our first night we had dinner at the hotel - Sri Lankan curry - which was absolutely delicious and the views from the dining area were wonderful! We would highly recommend. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel also offers a driver at a very reasonable price to take you around Kandy for the day and pick you up in the evening to bring you back to the hotel. The owner even kindly organised the driver to take us to the train station free of charge when we checked out. This was our favourite hotel during our trip to Sri Lanka and we would happily go back.

Good and special hotel”
After a complimentary pick-up at the train station, we received a free room upgrade, which we highly appreciated. Our villa was beautiful, perfectly decorated and furnished with Chinese elements, boasted a private pool and offered great views of the surrounding mountains. Our service was done by one employee, Priyantha. He was very comforting, helpful, polite and competent. He cooked lunch, dinner and breakfast for us. Every single one of these meals was delicious. He further organized a good driver for the continuation of our trip. The whole hotel is very peaceful and even has horses on the premise. This, however, also means that it is 30 minutes by car from Kandy. Therefore, it would not be your no. 1 choice if you wanted to stay in Kandy. As for the food, while it is delicious, it is slightly special that you can only choose between three meals (Sri Lankan, Chinese and pasta). All in all we can highly recommend this hotel but maybe it is not the number one choice for everyone.

Stunning time in a peaceful location.”
We booked this hotel for a relaxing few days outside Kandy, in tea country. It didn’t disappoint. We were welcomed into a spectacular villa overlooking a stunning view of the valley in glorious sunshine. Our room was well appointed with several seating areas and a large bathroom, and a large comfortable bed. The plunge pool was the icing on the cake. We were made so welcome by the staff, and the food was extraordinary. The chef created dishes of freshness and subtlety that were a joy to eat. The Hotel sits In an ex-Tea Estate and is about 45 minutes from Kandy so we enjoyed plenty of peace and quiet. There was lots of wildlife to experience including an Eagle. They are expanding the Hotel but while we stayed, there was no work being done.

An excellent choice in Kandy”
The hotel is located on the mountain, the road is not that good. But the rooms are perfect. And the host and staff are really friendly and kind. A good stay in Kandy. I would choose this hotel again, once I go to Kandy for the second time.

Beautiful Place in a wonderful scenery. ”
We loved the scenery although it is half an Hour outside from kandy! We had a beatiful big room with an infinity pool and a Great view on The surrounding Mountains in The Sunset. We could do horse riding, which was included. The horses ran there free , it was a beautiful picture. Food was delicious. We could chose between local and Chinese Food without menu. staff was outstanding friendly and helpful and a lot of Services like Tea lime juice and laundry was Included.

Wonderful ”
Can’t recommend it enough. We were meant to stay 2 nights and ended up extending our stay to spend Christmas here. It’s a remote haven in the mountainside, about an hours drive from kandy. Incredibly peaceful and quiet, with only 8 rooms. The grounds are filled with animals and they have stables with 4 beautiful horses, which you can ride up the mountainside through the woods (don’t miss out on that!) The food was a real highlight, the chef is ready and willing to make you anything you want and all the food was incredibly fresh and no request too much (even Victoria sponge cake to have with our tea.) The interiors are a beautiful mix of modern minimalism with touches of traditional decor. We stayed in one of the ‘luxury rooms’ which had high ceilings, four poster beds and wall to wall glass doors that opened onto a koi pond and panoramic mountain views. Just to be clear, the description on a couple of booking sites, suggested there was an outdoor pool, but this is onl

Stunning place, overall a must to stay”
Pros - the staff were amazing, so polite and helpful. The chef prepared fresh food and asked what we wanted to eat for dinner and breakfast. They were very accommodating. The room we stayed in was very spacious and furnished well. It was very clean. The view of kandy was lovely from my room. Wifi and tv worked. The bathrooms was very spacious. Cons - the 2nd day the owner asked to move to another room as agoda had over booked, so please double check before you arrive. Although the chef asked what I wanted to eat, the stock of food was very limited and hence most of the time we had to eat chicken. However must admit he prepared it very well.

Excellent”
This hotel is more like a manor other than a hotel. It locates high on a mountain far away from the Kandy city. But it is just because of this location it has a extraordinary mountain view for sunset. For some reason we arrived too late to see the beautiful sunset but I could imagine that view because the next morning we saw the beautiful mountain and the sky just from the restaurant. Its design and construction qualities and the facilities applied are a reflection of the good taste of the owner. And the chef here can cook very nice breakfast. It is a beautiful place with beautiful scenery and beautiful living facilities. There are several cats here with 2 or 3 of them are very little which play around showing curiosity for everything. So so cute!! Bad point is the swimming pool in the villa we lived was not clean. There ware insects floating on the water. We were not able to use it but just took it as a nice decoration for the villa.

Gem of a place , complete Hideway, excellent room and views”
Outstanding Chinese host, the room is quite like Banyan Tree style and very tastefully done. Location is outstanding , mindblowing views. Room had it's own lap pool ( couldn't use cause it was cold). Great owner, takes personal care and staff are very good though still learning. The kitchen food is like home cooked sort , they will prepare anything you would like. Don't expect like a 5star kitchen and chef with the works , it's more like homestay kitchen concept. But great food and they will customise. Definitely will recommend for some peace, quite and solitude. Pls be ready for a good 45 minutes travel from Kandy town, but worth it.

Beautiful view”
The view of the hotel was breathtaking. The room we had was one of the best rooms I have stayed in. It was so romantic and secluded. The dinner was massive and so much variety. I would note though, that it is quite far out of Kandy so be prepared to drive 20-30 min to get there.

Worth the trip”
Getting to Yale is an adventure in itself, but you'll be rewarded in a unique stay. The hillside location provides superb views. The staff looked after us well... what they lacked in polished service skills, they more than made up for in enthusiasm. There aren't nearby options for dining out, but that wasn't a problem as the food was fine.
