“The spa is recommended, but there are insufficient responses.”

There are no reviews from Korean users, so I'm writing this to provide information. Accessibility is poor, so you have to take a taxi. I requested an Uber in Taipei. If you have no luggage, are in good shape, and have time to spare, you can take a bus. A swimsuit and a bathing cap are required. They won't let you in without a cap. If you're busy, there are sales and rentals on the basement level, so you can use that. However, it's not a small amount. Just buy it at the duty-free shop. There are enough outdoor hot springs to enjoy. However, don’t think about the size of Korean water parks. There are also pools, but they are shallow and small. The water temperature is just lukewarm, a bit warm at most, but there aren’t any hot baths. For hot springs, make a reservation for a Japanese room and use the private bath there. There are sulfur hot springs available, which are really nice. There is also steam and dry saunas. Even though getting there is tough, soaking in the hot springs while looking at the sky is truly blissful. The air is nice, the scenery is very beautiful, and when it rains, it has a mysterious view. However, since it's in the mountains and the accommodation is around the peak, it can be old and there might be some mold. If you point this out to the staff, they respond well. The restaurant is in the main building, so it takes about 3 minutes to walk if you reserve in the new wing. If you opt for half-board for dinner, they give you hot pot, which includes fresh seafood and meat as you request. You'll be full. The taste is naturally good. For dinner, there are unlimited drinks and a variety of Häagen-Dazs desserts. The breakfast buffet may not have a lot of options, but it's a bit better in quality than a business hotel. Breakfast includes Japanese, Taiwanese dishes, cereals, and bread, which suits Korean tastes, so don't worry too much about it. We had heard from reviews that the food wasn't good, so we packed a lot from the city, but we were too full to eat it all and ended up throwing it away. (Highly recommend Millano Pizzeria) Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, and hand wash are provided in reusable containers. There are no toothbrushes or toothpaste. If you ask for more towels, they will give you extra. I couldn't use the gym kiosk because I was busy with the hot springs, so I don't know about that. Everything was satisfactory except for the accessibility and slightly outdated facilities, even the staff who saw us off at the end. However, there was one thing I was disappointed with from the hotel. They did not stop a boy from entering the women's changing room, and when I complained, the mother brought her son in alone and just said there was nothing she could do and apologized. But that boy followed me into the shower room, which has individual partitions, hiding and peeking, giggling when our eyes met, shouting in an unknown Chinese and running away repeatedly. Wouldn't that be unpleasant for you? Why should my wife experience this embarrassment after paying for it? Of course, the main issue is that the child's mother did not properly manage her child, but it feels like there is no access control in the first place. Why should my wife's naked body become a spectacle after paying for expensive airfare and hotel reservations for a boy who is capable of running around and forming sentences? It's truly horrific. This is a problem that needs to be improved or addressed; it's definitely not something for which they can just say sorry and ask for understanding. My wife stopped me from complaining further, but isn’t it basic that men should not be allowed in women's changing rooms? Also, during meals, children are running around, making noise, throwing dishes, and banging plates with forks for 20 minutes, and no one stops them. If you dislike children, I absolutely do not recommend this place since there are many families.

    “We loved it!”

We are a family with young children and stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The resort is sitting on top of a mountain with so many things to do for families. Room: We stayed in a Japanese family room on the 2nd building with the most beautiful view of the mountains. You can wake up early and enjoy the view with a cup of tea or coffee just relaxing on the balcony area. The room comes with a hot spring bath tub big enough to fit 2 adults and 2 children. Facilities: They've got indoor swimming pools and outdoor swimming pools on the 2nd building. Outdoor swimming pool got a pool slide for children to play in. They've got another swimming pool on the 1st building but we never got to try swimmimg there. They have a small indoor playground for the kids to also enjoy. And if you like playing table tennis they have that too. Gym is avaiable within a time frame. their main highlight is their hotspring outdoor pools. Location: Its on top of a mountain, if you dont drive a car its pretty hard to get to. We found out later on that there is a Bus going to the hotel but not sure. Food: No convinience store around, so if the restaurant is the only place you could order food. We really came here for the experience and we enjoyed our time here. if we were to go back to Taiwan we will definitely stay here again.

    “Lovely and relax holiday”

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel with hot springs, and it was an exceptional experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite, ensuring that my needs were met throughout my stay. The room itself was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The facilities at the hotel were plentiful and of high quality, offering a range of amenities for guests to enjoy. The view from my hotel room was stunning, allowing me to take in the beauty of the surrounding area. The individual hot spring tub in the room was a luxurious touch, providing a private and rejuvenating experience. I also appreciated the presence of a dehumidifier in the room, which helped maintain a pleasant atmosphere. The hot springs and swimming pool were fantastic, offering a refreshing and enjoyable way to unwind. As for improvements, I would suggest adding some hooks in the washroom or on the balcony to hang clothes or towels. This would be especially useful for guests staying for multiple nights, like my group of four, as we didn't know where to keep our wet towels. Overall, my stay at this hotel with hot springs was exceptional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway.

    “Taiwan's top resort destination.”

We had gone with our parents. We thought that one day would not be enough to enjoy all the hot springs, so we stayed overnight at the accommodation. Since it was probably winter season, it wasn't too crowded and felt quiet. In conclusion, we were extremely satisfied and felt that the price was worth it. The journey there is not easy for a day trip, so I can't say it has the best location (it took us 2 hours to get to the accommodation and 1 hour to return, depending on the driver), but if you really want to relax, it is situated in a really nice spot halfway up the mountain. The view from the accommodation was absolutely stunning. The hot spring water is sulfurous and very nice, with various temperatures, and there’s even a small slide and pool for toddlers, so I think it's a great place for families. The size of the accommodation is larger, more spacious, and cleaner compared to other hotels, which is nice. It was especially very clean. I stayed in a Japanese-style room, and everything was perfect. If you love spas and are worried about accumulating fatigue from taking a bus back and forth, I highly recommend staying for about a day in a shared room with a group of four.

    “Very clean, good service.”

The room is very clean, with no damp smell from the mountains at all. I think a lot of effort must have gone into the room by the staff. Thank you to the housekeeping staff for their diligent cleaning. Even the pillows, comforters, and mattresses are clean and comfortable, with no damp smell. I slept very well and woke up with the sunrise. The front desk staff are very friendly. The restaurant staff are serious about patrolling and collecting dirty dishes. Dinner was hot pot plus a buffet; the selection was not extensive, and the quality of the pork and beef could only be considered average, but it was acceptable. There was also all-you-can-eat Haagen-Dazs ice cream, which made the kids very happy. Breakfast also had a limited selection, but it was acceptable. Because the hot spring facilities are numerous and great, and the room is comfortable and clean, Tianlai is still a good hotel worth staying at. Overall, the experience was very good.
