Fantastic value in the heart of town”
This hotel has superb rooms and a pleasant design aesthetic, coupled with friendly, helpful staff, powerful wifi and an enviable location in the tourist heart of Yangshuo, but fortunately not overburdened with music and noise from the West Street party. We were there in late March during off-peak and so got a fantastic discount price (approx £16/night). Recommended.
Great setting. Close to many shops and Restaurants. Staff helpful and spoke English. Only downside was no elevator but not really too big of a deal once the luggage was carried up. We would be happy to stay here again.
Nice clean hotel with good ambience toward centre of town. Quite a distance from buses to Guilin but cabs are reasonable price to get to buses. Lots of eating and shopping from nickname to fashion nearby at reasonable prices. Staff helpful in arranging cabs and giving advice!
I Love This Hotel”
We were lucky to stay during off peak, as they gave us the best room in the hotel! The receptionist was very friendly and speak English which was really nice. Room was very big, beautiful traditional Chinese furnishing, very clean and also powerful heater which heated up the very cold room nicely during the mid of winter. There is an excellent restaurant at the ground floor and although the menu is limited to only some noodle dishes they were very tasty so we had breakfast and lunch there daily. The staff can also help you arrange local tour and transportation and they are very friendly. It is also next to the famous West Street but the noise do not reach the hotel so you can have peaceful sleep. The river is also just a short walk from the hotel. We love this hotel and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended to you all.
Not Bad Hotel for the Price”
Perfectly serviceable hotel located in the heart of Yangshuo City. Felt it was a bit overrated given the great reviews. The rooms were big & nicely decorated although the place was showing its age. Wifi was ok in the room & the water was hot enough when we went in Nov during a particularly cold period (slightly below 10 degrees). Bathroom was a tad lowly lit. Comfortable bed & nice balconies overlooking the street. As it is right smack in the main street (East Street), it can be noisy till around 9-10pm at night. This was fine for us as we only got back to the hotel at around 9pm. Best thing was the price, which was really cheap for a room of this size & standard. Do note that there are no lifts here so I had to carry my big luggage up to the 2nd floor. The front desk was helpful & able to provide information well, although when we asked for a cab to Xianggong Hill, the hotel quoted us $250. We asked a random taxi on the street & was quoted only $250.
Very enjoyable stay”
Stayed 2 nights here, location was quite good, only a short walk to the main touristy areas and a short taxi ride to the bus station. Rooms themselves were spacious, clean and very well equipped. Wifi speed could have been better and there is considerable noise always coming from the street at night. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and spoke reasonable English. Would happily return here and recommend to others as this place offers very good value for money.
nice hotel in very good location”
we got upgraded to suite room by the hotel upon arrival. the suite is very big with 4 large bed. the bed is a little bit hard but the pillow was nice. the hotel was just at the end of touristy west street but with no noise from the busy street at all. very recommended for those who want to stay nearby the west street, and with quiet surrounding and the li river was just 50m walk from the hotel.
Great hotel with nice old Chinese style decoration”
From beginning to end we enjoyed our stay there. Staff, gave us a very warm welcome, with a nice drink, so felt at home immediately. The interior decoration, old traditional Chinese style but with a modern flavour. One minor, but nothing to do with the hotel, is the juice bar, which you can access from the hotel. Owner first creates an almost " spiritual" healthy environment and breaks that by being rude and cheating on customers. The first day we arrived we tasted the mango, orange use, which tasted absolutely great, than one night, he ran out of mango apparently, and orange skin got blended in. In stead of telling that there was not enough mango, he just served it like that and upon making a remark he on top of it got angry and aggressive which ruined the whole mojo of his place for us.
Awesome hotel, with friendliest staff”
This hotel was the best hotel we went to in China, they had an amazing Vegetarian restaurant, is located right next to the big party street (can be noisy) and even give you free fruit and tea on arrival. They organised a taxi for us to the airport and right across the road is a very inexpensive laundry centre.
Great location boutique hotel in heart of Yangshuo”
This is a nice boutique hotel in the heart of Yangshuo giving you a couple mins walking access to the lively West Street and the river Li Jiang. Interiors are done up in a classical Chinese way with rooms having some antique pieces. Imperial suites are special with big rooms and nice bathing facilities. The rooms are slightly pricier than other hotel options but definitely worth the value in quality. The service is very friendly especially foreigner friendly. The vegetarian restaurant attached to it is one of the best restaurants in the area and highly recommended. The only downside to the hotel is that in the early evening hours on top floors you do start to hear the loud music from the bars near West Street, but this dies down after 11pm due to local regulation. Amenities inside the room are average.
It is very good service and good accomodation.”
i like this hotel a lot. the hotel accomodations , hotel style and officers are nice and morover everyone have service mind to do things or give suggestion for tourists. the room is quit big and decorated in a chinese style. it's very romantic and it has a big bathroom too. it has toilet kit for us too. it's very clean but at night it was very noisy. about the hotel is very good but at night around the hotel has many clubs or disco. there has street market nearby the hotel too. the price normally expensive than guilin. there are many foreigners here.we can ask manythings from hotel staffs. they are very nice and kindly girls. their suggestions always better than outside or cheaper than tour agent. especially miss jassamine is very nice. she speak english is very well and has service mind to do manythins.
Situated at the corner of busy west street, convenince for those who likes pubs, shopping, restaurants...Can be quite noisy through late night, nevertheless the noise level is still acceptable to us and we had a comfortable stay.
Great Little boutique hotel in lovely Paradise”
Oh, the place is better than what I had initially expected it to be. Even though it was hot in the 1st 2 days in late Aug, still the scenery beats them all. Except for the noisy music at nite (which was to be expected as we were warned), the hotel stay was better than expected with all the available amenities plus free internet to let keep in touch with the outside world.
Very nice hotel with great service”
i would definetly stay here again. the interior styling of the hotel is really nice. the rooms feel old and tradtional but they are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. the reception staff have the best english i have found anywhere in china and they are very helpfull with booking other stuff and advising you where to go to find activities etc. the internet was a little slow but fine as long as you don't want to download movies. the vegatarian restaurant attached to the hotel has a massive menu and if you like vegatarian i think you will really like the food they do. and the prices are good. the only problem i had during my stay was that the bathroom door in my room,201, has a dammaged hinge at the top so it felt like it was ready to fall off and it was dificult for my girlfriend to open and close. also the plastic shower basin had a crack in it so maybe they need to do a little more on maintenance but these two tiny things did not take from the experience. the hotel is a really good 3 star hotel. it is just around the corner from west street so access to everything is very easy but it is just far enough away to not be too noisy at night. there was quiet slow music audible until about 1200 in our room. but it was very quiet and not a problem at all.
Don’t get near this hotel”
I was dropped down in the center and looked for the hotel... apparently there are two hotels under the same name... we were looking for it for 3 hours... WiFi didn’t work... Shower was bad... when we checked out and asked for a taxi the reception woman asked for 60 yuan while out side they took 20 yuan
Really near to west street. This hotel is amazing. Huge room and near to li river
Good value, Great location”
I was traveling with my two teenage mandarin-speaking children to see the Li and Yulong River areas. We found the hotel to be in a great location, right in the center of the shopping/dining/nightlife pedestrian mall. Be advised - they give you earplugs to help sleep at night since the music is playing until 1am. We did not find it to be a problem. The vegetarian restaurant was actually fantastic - we are not vegetarians but we found it interesting and tasty. The hotel is well-decorated, pleasant to be inside for a small mainland hotel. Very clean by Chinese standards.
Great location, uncomfortable beds.”
Hotel is centrally located in Yangshuo close to the restaurants, bars, markets and river. The downside to this is the noise, nut the hotel thoughtfully provided ear plugs which fixed the problem. Otherwise, expect traffic noise, shouting, general door banging and construction noise until about 1am and starting again at about 7am. Other hotels in the area are probably just the same though. Service was very good - fast checkin and checkout. I emailed hotel after booking through Agoda to confirm and arrange airport pickup and they responded almost straight away. Reliable, friendly and efficient. The biggest criticism was the comfort of the beds. They were hard (which is fine) but you could feel every spring sticking into you which was very uncomfortable. Luckily our room had two beds so we were able to use the duvet from the spare bed as extra padding. The hotel REALLY needs to change the beds though! Our rooms were big, clean and comfortable. Nice hot shower and decent toiletries provided. I would recommend the hotel for the location and service, but you will need the earplugs and be prepared for uncomfortable beds (although maybe other hotels in the area are just the same?)
Yangshuo is a really beautiful place”
Really nicely located in the center of Yangshuo. A little noisy due to the bars nearby. Though they have no breakfast at the Hotel, you have many options in the small restaurant / cafes next to the hotel. The Travel agency in front of Magnolia was helpful too.
Clean, comfortable and central”
The Magnolia is a great place to stay if you would like to be centrally located in Yanghsuo. It really is a stone's throw from West street. My room was large, clean and comfortable. For a Chinese hotel, the bed was very comfortable and very soft by Chinese standards. The staff was exceptionally friendly, spoke English and went out of their way to make sure I had information about the hotel and Yangshuo. I also enjoyed the food the hotel had to offer. There is a coffee bar area in the lobby which has great fresh juice and desserts. I highly recommend the carrot cake and the mango orange juice. Both superb! I also ate at the Pure Lotus Vegetarian restaurant, also on site, and the food was delicious. The potatoes stir-fried in vinegar were extremely tasty. The only drawback is that the hotel is a little loud. During the day, there were a lot of people checking in and as all of the rooms face an internal court yard, I could hear more than one shrieking child. There was also a good bit of noise from outside during the day. However, the hotel does provide ear plugs, and the noise at night was markedly less than during the day. This is definitely a wonderful, well priced hotel for central Yangshuo.
