Not very pleasant.
Near shopping area and not far from Tsim Sha Tsui subway.
I wasn't very pleased with the Inn. The lifts were slow and almost always full of people carrying goods up and down. The room was quite small and there were someone else's bags under the bed. The staff are not readily available and I had to buy things like toilet paper and batteries for the TV remote control. I would recommend the hotel to a backpacker on the move with little or no time to stay indoors.

Never again at this one
It is a "dive" with five or six room partitions, up to four or more on each level. This one was in "B" which had a constant looong line for the elevator, there was no room cleaning over three days
There was no one there to open the door or check me in. Picture arriving in Hong Kong with no new SIMM in your phone, yet, it is night, and you cannot find even a way to get to the room you have so thoughtfully booked online. When the guy showed up, he had the personality of a porcupine. He was never available for a new towel nor was there any available central supply. The next day, two very responsible looking ladies, the owners, wanted to know my experience, I complained at the lack of concierge, they wanted more to look like they were managers than to manage.

Hotel is in a central location
Central location, right at the heart of shopping areas, easy to locate
the place is ideal for backpackers who are simply looking for a bed to sleep on for the night

horrible place
quite like in cuffin
Building complex full of hopeless people from all of 3rd world. Sometime you must wait about 15min to get to your room near elevator in not-ventilated area with scary people. Overall is clean inside the room. Only one cockroach. Hot water tank doesn't work. Door lock broken and doesn't lock the room even when I ask staff to fix it. Will never come back again.

Double Bed
Stayed 3 nights in September 2013
a big man in a dwarf-room
clean micro-rooms with mini-beds for HongKong related cheap price
i am a tall guy, nearly two meters, so i was shocked when i saw the room. it was about 5 squaremeters including the bathroom already! It was clean and good looking but the size of this called double-bed was smaller than a standard-single bed is normally. with bed squeezes between the room-walls and with lenght about 1,80 it was not possible to sleeo in straight position for me. for asian-sized people who only need a bed and shower its okay but for more you fell caged like a mouse in a box. The Location ChungKing-Mansion is one of dirtiest and poorest place in HongKong, looking around the corner will shock you as its dirty and awful same like the frontplace of this so called hotel or the elevator you must use to get there. its an overcrowed dirty low-style building with mainly indian and black people and strange persons waiting for you in front of building to sell you everything from copy-watches or drugs...so a adventure-place for people who need cheap low-comfort bed...anyway the hotel itself was clean and safe

location, price, cleanliness
My stay was for visa purposes. It was a short stay, but it was comfortable. The location is great, it is right near a number of must see places in Hong Kong and very close to the metro. There is a lot of great local food in the area too.

Everything is good except for the dirty bed sheet
Great location, Small but self-contained, Cheap
My initial impression of this place is actually very good considering the cheap price for such a good location in HK. While the room is small, it has everything, hot shower, AC, TV, towel etc... Nothing to complain until I was about to sleep when I saw the bed sheet & the pillow. There was lotsa curly hair (looks like legs hair) on the bed sheet. Either they did not change the bed sheet or the hotel dude slept in it before I reached at 9pm+. It was disgusting, but I did not complain as it was around 2am when I was about to sleep and I was too tired to complain. It was disgusting. It is a pity. Other than the bedsheet, everything is good for the price. I have to give a bad review so that other guests would have a clean bed sheet in the future.
