Highly recommended lovely ryokan with excellent service and very good meals”
Fully enjoyed our stay at this ryokan and would highly recommend it. Excellent service by the ryokan staff - reception, restaurant, housekeeping. Everyone was warm, welcoming and helpful! We felt very well taken care of by them. Room - spacious and well-equipped. Clean. All the amenities u need are provided. Breakfast and dinner - meals are very delicious. Each menu is well thought-out and planned such that the flavours and textures complement each other. We enjoyed every meal. Restaurants- the breakfast restaurant is a place I miss a lot. Ambience and the view outside the large window is amazing. Dinner restaurant was comfortable and private. Just 2 suggestions: -would be good if ryokan provides transport to/from the train station (staff provide alternatives but wld be less hassle if ryokan provides this) -would appreciate if ryokan staff could setup our futons in the evenings (in other ryokans we stayed in, staff made our futons while we were at dinner)

Those who book this accommodation will definitely not regret it”
I don't usually write hotel reviews, but I liked this place so much that I'm writing one. We traveled with three men. Location: The location is very good. It's about a 9-minute walk from Yufuin Station, but the surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful that it's not difficult to walk around and enjoy the scenery. I didn't feel like it was far at all. It takes about 7 minutes to walk to Lake Kinrin in the morning, and there is a convenience store nearby, so it was convenient. Accommodation: We stayed in a room with a Japanese-style tatami floor. I saw in the reviews that there was a gas smell, but I didn't feel it at all, and it was warm enough. The futon was very soft and I slept really well. Meals: We had both dinner and breakfast. They were both well-prepared and served as course meals. Everyone in our group was satisfied with the food. Onsen: You can use a private bath for 50 minutes each in the morning and evening. We made a reservation in advance by email (I recommend making a reservation for popular baths in advance). It was great that the time was guaranteed, and I thought 50 minutes would be short, but it was enough time to enjoy. The onsen was clean, and I had a healing time while enjoying the outdoor scenery. Staff: They are really friendly! Not only the front desk, but also the dining staff, everyone greeted us with a smile every time and helped us if we had any questions. There were staff members who spoke English and Korean, so we were able to communicate well without any inconvenience. They spoke Korean so well that I thought they were Korean. Thanks to them, we made great memories and had a wonderful time. I hope those who are looking for accommodation will definitely visit this place!

The Best Last Two Days in Fukuoka”
Stayed for one night on 4/24-25. Although it is considered a cost-effective ryokan in Yufuin, I was a bit worried because it was still quite expensive. However, the staff were very friendly and the hot springs were great. The staff member who guided us during breakfast on the 25th was also very kind. They spoke Korean so well that I thought they were Korean, but when I asked, they said they were Japanese (they looked like Honoka Nishimura, haha). I was quite tired from the previous travel itinerary, but I had a great time resting and enjoying the hot springs at the ryokan. When you arrive, they provide a small bag and nail clippers according to the number of people, and they let women choose a prettier yukata. It seemed like you have to visit Gaiseki a little earlier or make a reservation in advance to be able to eat there. If I go to Yufuin again next time, I would like to stay at this ryokan again.

One of the best hotel experience in the world”
I am a frequent traveller and have stayed in many different hotels worldwide, but this hotel is absolutely one of the best I have ever been to. I think it could definitely be my favourite hotel of all time. The staff are all super friendly, kind and helpful. We can communicate in English pretty easily with all the staff members, even small talk in english. They offered hand warmer whenever they saw you leaving the hotel premise, which was very thoughtful for their guests. It was snowing on the first morning of our stay, their staff was very kind and helped us cleaning and spraying defrost onto our car windscreen and made sure we were able to drive. The night our kid forgot to switch the passenger seat light off (which could easily kill the car battery and cost us a lot of trouble), the staff noticed when she checked the carpark at night and saved our car. They also offered us some cute little gifts when we checked in, which were useful items during our visit. I also really appreciate the pretty kimono for ladies to rent for free. The private onsen were all very pretty and comfortable, including a changing and showering area. We also had dinner at the hotel in our first night as everything in yufuin closes pretty early. The beef sukiyaki was very good and the sashimi was very fresh. Generally speaking, I really enjoyed my stay at yadoya and would definitely stay here again next time!!! Highly recommend it to everyone.

Memorable stay! ”
I can’t say enough nice words to express our memorable stay. This was the first time we stayed at a Japanese traditional ryokan. Our family of 5 (children ages 13,11,11) are world travelers and spend 60 days a year traveling around the world. We usually stay in big chain hotels (we are platinum members with Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt), so we were apprehensive staying at a privately owned property. But my family loved the smaller vibe- staff was exceptionally kind, friendly, and wiling to help us in any way. We loved the breakfast, the private baths, and even the rec room (we played ping pong, foozball, and there was Pac-Man!!). When we left the building to visit Yufuin village, they had hot packs ready for our hands to stay warm. The nice welcoming gifts of nail clippers/bags was just so memorable for my children! It’s the little things and details the kids remember, and they really hit all the right spots! If we ever come back to Yufuin, we would definitely stay here again!

Awesome hotel”
Hotel has 3 private onsen that requires reservation and they are amazing with mountain views at the outdoor onsen. A pity that i did not prebook dinner and was told customer needs to reserve 3 days in advanced.

Great Accommodation”
The hotel is a bit far from Yufuin Station, but it only takes about 10 minutes by taxi which costs around 600-700 yen. The staff helped me call a taxi to the station in advance, which was very nice. I chose a package with two meals, and the owner was very accommodating in changing the dinner menu to shabu shabu since I don't eat beef. It was delicious! The breakfast was also very good, and it was nice to enjoy the food at the hotel on a rainy day. The private baths have two pools and the outdoor one is very relaxing. The owner also upgraded my room to one with a comfortable tatami mat, which was very relaxing.

Very friendly staff, good location, room is spacious, a bit old as expected, but well maintained. The private family bath is great for the shy ones and kids can also experience it without feeling embarrassed. Breakfast is also very good.

Excellent hot spring”
Hotel will contact you via message or email for the reservation of hot spring. One time slot for night and one for morning session. Each session lasts 50 minutes. The view of breakfast restaurant is great. There is a stand alone router in my room that allows stable access to internet. In short, a very good experience. If you access by private vehicle, you need to drive through a narrow way to reach the hotel.
