If you’re looking for an affordable but extremely nice hotel, you should book Yellow House. Receptionist/Owner was very helpful and speaks english really well. We got a free upgrade to a balcony room too! We had a blast in Vietnam and we will surely be coming back soon

If you want a cheap affordable no frills hotel then this is for you.located in a quiet alleyway it's a perfect place to discover Ho chi min. Very friendly staff who can organise taxi and tell you places to visit. The beds are very firm but that seems to be the norm in Vietnam

This hotel was very quiet despite its proximity to downtown. There was a large supermarket and breakfast place nearby. The hotel was reasonably priced and a great place to stay for exploring Ho Chi Minh City.

The best hotel I have stayed in this class. Clean and comfortable, with staff willing to assist. Coming out to the main road, turn left walk a short distance you will find zhi char stall operating for the evening with resonable price. Turn right and walk you will reach Tran Hung Dao street. It is here I took the local bus to reach my various destination. Bus fare is dirt cheap btw 6-7000 dong, regardless of distance you travel. Hope to go VN before TET for my next trip.

Room clearly hadn’t been cleaned, the fridge still had leftover food in. Room was crawling with ants. Member of staff didnt apologise for the fact there was someone else’s things in the fridge. Asked to switch rooms, which was apparently an upgraded room. Room was also crawling with ants, did not have a pleasant smell and was also dirty. The ceiling fan was caked with dust, no idea when that last had a clean. Glad we only booked this for one night, one of worst stays in Vietnam

Worst Hotel Experience Ever!”
If you're a foreigner, keep in mind that the receptionist does not speak English at all. We booked and prepaid for a room with a large bed and not on the 1st floor which is where she put us. When we arrived, the receptionist told me in Vietnamese that they only had a room with separate beds and asked us to pay extra to upgrade. I refused to, so she told me she'd just switch the guests in the other room with us. We were gonna sit down to wait for the switch but she just gave us the key to go to our room immediately. That just told us flat out she was lying. You can only walk around the hotel with the flipflops they provide. Beware of this daycare rule: The receptionist confronted me that all of my friends who came over to visit me didn't acknowledge her. I told her I've traveled all over Vietnam and Thailand and none of my friends had ever had to ask for the receptionist's permission to come visit me. The WiFi only had 1 bar. It kept kicking you off the network. The toilet hose leaked all over the bathroom. It took 2 days for the AC to cool down the room. One of the windows was missing a blackout curtain so the room was very bright. The bathroom is glass so the light shines bright through there into the room, so no chance of a dark room during the day. We asked how to get the room cleaned and she said it's every 2 days because of the lack of people working here and that she'd be the one doing it. Which made me wonder if our room was cleaned properly before we arrived. Also, no hot water for a late night shower. That was our experience so book at your own risk.
