Intimate stay in a unique restored mansion
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful in recommending places to visit and eat. Though the mansion was relatively small compared to a hotel, all the needed facilities are available. The building was beautifully restored with antique furnishings and looked new. Liked the resting areas on the second floor and open air courtyard at the front. Location was central along the quiet stretch of Chulia Street and within 15 min walking distance to Penang Street and Armenian Street where all the street art are. For some night life, Love Lane was only 5 min walk away.

Beautiful hotel located in Georgetown.
Booked this place for my boyfriend's birthday. They surprised him w a cake and multiple birthday wishes. Beautiful hotel but a bit on the pricey side. Still, a nice place to treat ourselves to once in a while.

Excellent boutique hotel
I stayed this hotel for few times and it never disappoint me. Very clean room though room size is not very big but very comfortable stay. Friendly staffs, great breakfast and good location. Walking distance to many attractions in Georgetown and famous hawker stalls & restaurants. It is a very charming boutique hotel.

A good place to stay
This is a nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The location is excellent, right in the centre of Chulia Street, close to all the good food, cafes, buses, and within walking distance to most of the sights. The room is compact but very comfortable. Breakfast wasn't up to par to the standard set by the hotel, and the staff in the restaurant weren't as warm as the hotel's.

Good stay but many mosquitos
The hotel is in a good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fare was average because the food is lukewarm and not kept warm enough. The main issues are 1) mosquitos. Although repellents were given for the rooms, there were still a lot of mosquitos. We were bitten. 2) The wifi was weak inside the room. We have to stand near the room door just to get signal or be outside the room or Lobby to receive signal. Otherwise the environment and set up of the hotel is lovely. We just wish to be able to sit around the hotel leisurely without mosquito attacking us.

Great place to stay.
Ideally situated for Penang Road, the ferry port or Fort Cornwallis. Not far from a hop on, hop off bus stop. Easy to walk around Georgetown from here or make use of the free Penang bus. Very friendly, always smiling, helpful staff. Clean comfortable rooms where everything worked. I had a room on the side on the second floor (203). I soon got used to the call for prayers every morning and evening. The attached Chinese restaurant served very good food and I ate there 3 nights but don't leave it too late to eat as chef finishes by about 8.30pm. Breakfasts were fine with good choice. Small swimming pool available but I did not use. I would definitely stay there again.
