Great location but”
Location is super good, but they need to improve on the cleanness...yellow stains on the bed sheet and towels, and the mat is even become gray one. For me, the bed is too soft and the air conditioner is a bit noise. It's valued to spend a night to stayover only.

Fantastic find”
This was my last stay during my round Taiwan tour, and I am glad that I found YY Hostel. This was easily the best place to stay, even better than some hotels. I had a spacious room to myself, double bed, cable TV, bath towels, etc. In short all the creature comforts that I could ever need at a decent price. There is a paid parking lot next to the building for those who drives. There is no breakfast, but getting decent breakfast is generally not a problem in Taiwan. There are plenty of food options within walking distances. And there is also a convenient store just outside. There are minor drawbacks though. You can hear people talking in the hallway. There is no lift in the building, so guests must be able to walk up stairs. While the hotel location is convenient for food and street shopping, it is tucked away in a little alleyway and took a long time to find. To find this place, look for "Adagio Travel Tainan Roots Inn" and this cafe called "Good Days". The alleyway that leads to YY Hostel is sandwiched between these 2 places. Go in and you will find it. Despite these, I would still stay here next time I am in Tainan.

Solo traveller experience at Yes Yellow Hostel”
The given address is not specific enough, so I had to spend some time finding the exact location. The property is located in a small alley that is easily unnoticed, so it would be good if there is more specific directions/signs at the main road. Location is a distance away from the train station, around 5 to 10 minutes cab ride. Housekeeper is extremely nice (I forgot to inform him my arrival time and he had to rush down from elsewhere so that I could deposit my luggage within the property before I go on exploring Tainan). I was quite surprised to get a double size bed even though I booked a single room. The room has all the basic amenities for a 2-star accommodation: wifi, in-room toilet, hair dryer, toiletries, towels, TV, bottled water, air-conditioned. It was worth the price I paid for. I will stay here again if I ever visit Tainan.

Good hostel for the price paid”
Good location, i can walk to most of places of interests nearby. Room is a little small, think maximum for 2 persons. But for the price paid, the CP value is very high as everything is included in. One thing to take note that there is no lift and stairs are really steep so traveler with big luggage will have more difficulty. The lady helped me to carry my big luggage in this case. Staff is really nice & helpful (gave me a piece of cake on my birthday which is a nice surprise). Overall a nice stay and i will definitely stay there again if I am back to Tainan.

Value for money, and it is recommended for budget travellers”
The exact location of the hostel is inside a lane, so it will be good if can ask the staff to come out to the main road to bring you in, even i tried with google maps but it only bring me to another lane nearby. The location is a little bit far from train station, but it is reachable by bus, or like me, i walked there once (around 30 minutes walk). However, there are actually a mini night market outside of the hostel and go to other tourist spot from the hostel is convenient. Lastly, the room is clean and comfort for a budgeted stay. Will definitely come back again if I happen to re-visit tainan again

clean and spacious room, good for single traveler”
good location in Tainan city, close to Yu-Ai St and Kuo-Hua St, and also Bao-An St local food specialty area. Together with Yong-Leh market, this area is called as "the most competitive local food battlefield in central Tainan urban". This is the reason why I love to stay in this neighbourhood. Anyway this guesthouse is a high C/P ratio, spacious room for backpackers to stay with basic demand facility.

Great place to get to know Tainan”
Great neighbourhood with plenty of places to eat or have a beer and quote shops. Walking distance to tempels and fort. Tourist bus stops nearby. We stayed @ Yes Yellow for 4 nights. Quiet night sleep, clean room, clean towels every day. Quick response to email when you have a request. Recommended!

Super clean and quiet”
I almost wish this place had been more lively like I would expect from a backpackers, but that can barely be a complaint when the room itself is so generously proportioned, super clean and comfortable. Great a/c, nice hot water and pressure, nice touches like free toiletries, kettle for tea, and lots of channels on the flatscreen. Amazing value for the downtown location. There is a reception area, but it isn't staffed, so you need to email/ Line with the staff to arrange to be let in and set up when you arrive. Also, there is no signage in the entry alley at all. Adagio Travel and Good Times cafe (amazing breakfast) has an alley between them. Head down there and look up for the yellow building on the right. The door has a handle that looks like a pipe and garden hose spigot

This hostel exudes a homely feel and it's easy to feel comfortable in the hostel. The staff is very friendly and attentive in pointing out the directions. Be sure to tell him you are coming in advance. The only con is the narrow staircase to the room. It is not very suitable for elderly and people with large luggages

This hostel doesn't put name sign, so we have to contact the staff to pick up. The staff are very nice, can speak English, and helpful. The room is cozy and clean.. Feel like home

Good location next to a lot of food and popular shops. please call the number given cause it's really not easy to find and there aren't any boards or signs to show the hostel. but it's great, love the cleanliness and hospitable owner.

In the middle of Guo Hua St, easy to walk around, a bit hard to find the hostel cause it located in alley. Quite far from train station, but taxi or bus will do.
