Good value for money
Went to Beijing on a business trip and booked this hotel. Originally was skeptical because of the news but the place was better than expected. Breakfast was soso. Rooms were clean but the minibar fridge was warm (off) so didn't use it. Service is really good albeit abit slow sometimes. Especially when I checked in, (booked at 4pm checked in at 6pm) they couldn't find my booking at first.

room at 10 degrees and bad services
The hotel is clean and well decorated . but i arrived at 7 pm in a room at 10 degrees. As the heating control was in chinese , I called the front desk to send me someone to help me set the heating so i could remove my coat. the lady on the phone told me that they will send someone who didn't show up . I had to call 4 times before someone finally came 1 hour later . during that time i touched all the button and the room was around 15 degrees but I was in a room composed by a room and a livingroom and the doors in between was broken. so in order to keep the heat in the bedroom, I had for an other room were the door was usable . The temperature of the other room was also at 10 degrees and the staff told me that the heater was on . 3 hours later the room was at 18 degrees wich is still cold for me. the heater stopped during the night so the room was cold when I wake up . this is unacceptable for a 4 stars hotel to install clients in rooms at 10 degrees to save money and to have a so non responsive staff. So even if the room was clean i am very disappointed .

Far from subway
Clean, room size is OK, toilet amenities are provided
The hallway remained dark throughout my visit, the lobby is so dark in general. Location is far from subway. Room is clean compares to most hotels at this price.

Comfortable and well appointed
Nice room. Close to airport and art district
It was a lovely hotel with pleasant staff who were as helpful as they could be. As we could not speak Chinese we did have some problems communicating and there was no English translation in the information booklet. Also no tv channels in English so we did feel abit isolated. If you have a bit of mandarin the hotel is perfect.

Would use it again
Clean. Comfortable. Close to 798 Art Zone & PEK.
The taxi cost 53 RMB from airport to Yitel after midnight. The ride was about 10min. I arrived to a very unwelcoming foyer. It was dim& the staff were nonchalant. It made me doubt if selecting this hotel was a good idea. I took comfort in the fact that I was going to stay on it for 10 hours before moving into town. Although I was traveling solo, I took the twin room as it was cheaper than getting a room with one bed. The room was spacious & comfortable. Interestingly, there was a menu at the bedside with different options for pillows. But it was too late in the night for me to bother requesting for any of the unique options. There was free wifi available in the room. There was 2 bottles of water provided as well as a special tap in the toilet for drinking water. There was an electric kettle, coffee, tea & a mini fridge. There were toiletries provided. The towels were thick. The electrical sockets were ample & they even had panel for media related equipment. I didn't use it but thought it to be an unexpected inclusion. Just across from the 798 Art Zone, it was a convenient location to stay if you wanted explore the area. The walk over was about 5-7min. Since the check out time would occur while I was probably still exploring the art zone, they allowed me to keep my bags with them. The hotel is nowhere near any train station. But there was a bus stop right in front of the hotel. However, I managed to hail a cab at the road in front of the hotel with my huge luggage to get into town. Overall, I was happy with my stay at Yitel. I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay near 798 Art Zone or near the airport.
