Where to stay in Yogyakarta City Center

This is really a very good hotel, especially i would suggest for those who travels with family members, young children. The hotel is located in city center, most of the malls are like 10-15 minutes away. Rooms are large enough for 4-5 members, super breakfast menu. I'll book this hotel again, i plan to travel to Yogyakarta again.

Hotel located right in middle of Yogyakarta city! Very near to Marliboro street with just 10 mins by car and also to Prabaran Temple . The service staffs from Swiss café where we had our daily buffet breakfast were excellent especially Della! The buffet breakfast were great with varieties local and western choices . The receptionist and the bell man took care of our r...

I have to change hotel at Yogyakarta because the previous one was a disaster, and finally we choose to stay here on our 3rd day at Yogyakarta. We were very happy we did change to Melia Purosani Hotel since this hotel offer us the most comforting space for us to stay! The room was spacious, clean, had everything we need and maintained well. We also tried for the spa ser...

We booked four rooms during our trip to Yogyakarta. The staffs are amazing, they do their best to meet our needs. We requested for connecting rooms and they fulfil our request. We love the pools and also the outdoor garden. The only improvement for them is to clean the room carpet as stains are visible. We had wedang ronde (ginger drink) at night and the peanut we had ...

I booked 3 rooms for 2 nights during my stay with family. They liked their room and breakfast. And since the hotel located in Malioboro street, city center of Yogyakarta. And accross the hotel we could find many traditional food, souvenir and clothes shop, so it easy us to buy something for us and our relative. Especially I had special room rate through Agoda, it made ...

This is a new hotel. Lucky for us! The hotel upgraded our reservation from a deluxe room to an executive room for free without additional charge. At that time because the deluxe room on high floor is not available. The staff hotel are friendly and the room is clean and comfort to stay.. The location is quite near from Malioboro and Yogyakarta Palace ... It is about ...

Great location (3 min walk to the beginning of Malioboro st), cleanliness and breakfast-to-go (as most tours in Yogyakarta start very early). Can choose American bfast (omelette, sausage, bread, sliced fruits) or Traditional Indonesian bfast. There’s a vegetarian option too. Jus need to inform reception the day before. Receptionists all speak good English which made ...

Me and my wife had a very pleasant stay at Ibis hotel. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. It had nice and comfortable room for couple like us. Even though the hotel is very near (walkable) to shopping area - Malioboro road - the hotel surrounding is a bit quiet once you enter the hotel lobby. And of course the hotel is very near to many historical places in Yo...

it is my 2nd stay at this hotel, friendly and polite staffs. Clean room, comfy bed and breakfast is ok. Hotel located at the heart of Yogyakarta Malioboro. Easy access to everywhere, shopping malls, restaurants and local culinary streets food. Opposite is the Yogyakarta train station, mind with the sound of the train. Will stay here again for my next visit to Yogyakar...

Very pleasant stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Ask them to direct you to the restaurant across the street, serving excellent Indonesian dishes. Rooms are clean and spacious. Plenty of delicious food choices served at the breakfast buffet. Walking distance to night market, post office and a good massage spa (also recommended by hotel staff). If you are going ...

I was on official duty trip to attend a training agenda at the 101 Tugu Hotel Yogyakarta during October 8 - 10, 2018. I get my wife to join me on that special occasion, we both arrive on October 7 (Sunday) and enjoying staying in Yogyakarta. The quality of the staff service here are comparable to one would get in 5-star hotel; they are courteous, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself look new and the two-bedrooms that we stayed were super clean and comfortable. The hotel is 1km away from the busy shopping street famous in the city. This means that it is quiet.

A clean hotel, with friendly staff and excellent location for exploring Yogyakarta; it is within a walking distance to the famous Jalan Malioboro where you can see and enjoy the exciting life of Yogyakarta, especially in the evening, but it is also close to other tourist attractions in the city. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Convenient location. If you like walking, it's very close to the city center. If not, it's easy to find and/or call for transportation (taxi, becak, ojeg). The hotel itself is nothing special, but just comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. The room is minimalist, but cosy. Breakfast is so-so, but you can always go outside and get other special Yogyakarta-style ...

We stay there during weekends. My children is very happy because this hotel has swimming pool and the location is nearby center of yogyakarta city and palace. It's a very Clean Hotel and Comfotable to stay, The Staffs are very welcome and kind to us. Overall this is a great place to stay.

Staying for couple days, The location with this price value is the main reason why i choose MG hotel. A couple minutes from Yogyakarta main tourist destination, Malioboro. The room are ordinary regular hotel room. I arrived too early in this hotel on my first day in Yogyakarta. Unfortunately, they were fully booked and I may not be accommodated for check-in. I just asked the receptionist if I could stay in the lobby while waiting, and he said yes. It was 5am, and no restaurants were open yet. By 7, I told him that I'll have breakfast first. If you'd ask me, the wait is worth it....

Had a room at the 5th floor, with a terrace overlooking the skyline near the lift lobby. very quiet, not noisy at all. Excellent customer service. Room was bare minimum with attached toilet and shower, enough for me and my wife. No wardrobe, fridge, safe box in the room. Bottled mineral water is provided in the room. Surrounding the hotel are some of the be...

The room is spacious Staffs are friendly and attentive The hotel is quiet. It took me 10 minutes to walk to Malioboro (the main street of Yogyakarta) The bathroom is clean but the hairdryer was hooked at location difficult to use (above water tank of closet). The tissue roll is hooked on the wall too far to reach while sitting. Breakfast is not as good as you would exp...

This hotel has a great location, since it's located in center of yogyakarta city, in malioboro area which is the most well known area for tourist. The rooms are also nice, with carpet, mini bar, and clean. Maybe the negative things, that there's no swimming pool, and also the breakfast are simplified. But for that price range ratio, I can guarantee that this is one ...

the hotel is central to most attractions along malioboro road, yogyakarta. the rooms are in need of refurbishment, however are large and comfortable. the hotel has charm and friendly staff. the hotel has a nice outdoor setting around the pool area. you have all the shops and stalls for your gifts out the front door of the hotel. i would have no problems in reccomme...

I check in the room after I arrived Jogja from airport. It is centrally located and took around half hour from airport to hotel. I have a brief tour around Jogja city - have lunch at Gudeg Yu Djum (which is really nice and must try). It is quite hot during the day so I go back to have a nap. At night i go out for a massage at De WAVE SPA, and then a dinner around t...

The hotel is very well located at the center of tourism activities in Yogyakarta (near Malioboro). Although the road in front of the hotel is quite narrow and the hotel itself is not big (well..., big enough compared to the other hotels at the neighborhood)the service is comparable to those three stars hotels. The food for the breakfast is beyond expectation, served...
Cheap places to stay in Yogyakarta City Center

That was my best and favorite homestay until now. The place is really beautiful and the hosts are the best! I enjoyed the chats with Andreas, we played guitar together and he made me a great time there. It's a shame that I was just for one night there... I highly recommend to visit them! I definitely will come back for a longer time. :)

I stayed here for 4 nights with an affordable price, if you don't mind sharing a room and toilet with others then this place is a great deal. Just walking distance from Malioboro Street, the environment is safe and the owner is very friendly. I would stay here again if I come back to Yogja!

I stayed at Yogyakarta Bnb for three nights and had a great time. Everyone was really friendly when I arrived and the people i shared the dorm with were great. Lovely little...

It was an unplanned visit to Jogja. Found this hostel through Agoda. The room looked spacious and clean from the photos and it's actually real. The place is huge and modern. I booked 3 nights there. i stay at casa raffles hotel for 3 night when school holiday started. you know yogyakarta is well known for lack of hotel room supply in school holiday. i had difficulties booking hotel room a month before holiday in one of my favorite yogya hotels (ibis, mutiara, rumah boedi). so, i booked a junior suite at casa raffles. when first arrive i was dissapoint a bit be...

I had planned to stay at Omah Konco for 4 days but ended up staying for 12 purely because of the lovely hospitality of Oki and the team at Omah Konco. From the moment I walked in I was made to feel at home and part of the family and everyone did all they could to help me. They gave me advice about what to do, helped me to book tours and also gave up their own free time...

Positive: - Lokasinya deket pusat kota Yogyakarta - Harga yang murah dengan fasilitas memadai - Cocok untuk anak-anak dengan nuansa rumah keluarga - Dekat pasar dan pusat jajanan (Pasar Lempuyangan) - Ada air gallon yang stand by - Friendly staf Kekurangan : - Parkiran mobil agak sempit - Bau septictank tercium ketika WC digunakan - Alat mandi, air mineral dan makan t...

They staff are very nice though they have little English but they understand you and helpful. I was constantly ripped off around the town but they offered to be with me with i need to go out and they do help to get it on local price. If i will go back, i will still book at this hostel

I had hectic tour schedule and only two days to cover Yogyakarta. Chose Cabin Hotel near the Malioboro street, and this cabin hotel was close to Malioboro Mall. To Sum it up the stay was good, and I was able to cover ...

First time i booked a hostel in Yogyakarta and i I chose Wake up homestay. I was amazed by their service..and how the hostel is. The location not so far from Tugu station, malioboro, trans jogja and beringhajo market. The bed pillow n blanket so comfortable. They had nice bed bunk with 100% excellent privacy, clean bathrooms. This is a lovely place with a family feel and friendly staff. There is nice space for relaxing on the second floor with tea and coffee available, and the breakfast is great. It was very quiet except for the mosque call to prayer. The room was clean but the bathroom a little dirty. The only problem was that it was advertised in the description as having air conditioning...

I stayed here for a couple days and i know that this is the right place to stay in Yogyakarta. This place is cost low but high in facilities. Myself and my friend spent five nights at Sky hotel. The staff were incredibly accommodating at all times. The manager Anton has brilliant English. The rooms are spacious, the be...

Pros: The place was so quite and clean. They made our bed and clean the room every day. There is coffee, tea and hot/cold drinking water for 24 hours. Staff friendly and helpful. Hot shower, AC. Cons: Poor breakfast, toast and scrambled eggs. A LOT OF MOSQUITOES! We couldn’t sleep the first night, but they gave us a spray and it worked good.

The location of the hotel is not on the main road, but within walking distance from the city center. If you're too lazy to walk, pedicabs are readily available at the front of the hotel. The neighborhood is quiet. I found it a perfect location if you don't like crowded, noisy surrounding. The size of the room is large and the bathroom is small but comfortable. The amen...

1. If you’re coming with a taxi or motorcycle, you’ll have to alight at jl. Sosrowijayan and walk in to the very small lane to get to the Homestay. It was raining heavily when I exited the taxi. There’s no cover overhead in the small lane. 2. Staff are friendly and helpful. 3. This is truly a Budget accommodation - small room, no hot shower or toilet paper, no blanke...

We did not like the city location as was too busy, that was our choosing. For younger people the location would be much better. There were a couple of minor issues with the room, despite a late checkin the staff quickly responded to these issues. They were fantastic and certainly make the homestay. We had to checkout a few days early and the homestay even kindly gave ...

This Homestay is near from train station, we just walking about 5-8 minutes. And this homestay near Malioboro too. I really recommend this homestay to backpackers that need a cheap room near Malioboro. The room is clean and comfort, the receptionist is so humble. The homestay near from Mosque but no restaurant near this homestay, but that's okay...

Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent, in the alley opposite Yogyakarta train station, just 100m from the station to the hotel and 300m walk to Malioboro shopping area. There are many hotels and motels here, but I think this is the best hotel in this alley area. The hotel has lots of green trees so it's cool though it's extremely hot outside. Room are airy, bat...
