The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are clean and cozy at an affordable price. Guests also appreciate the convenience of a nearby Lawson convenience store.

Did you find this review summary helpful?
It was a very simple set-up. You get bed, TV, fridge inside but no table. There was only two shower rooms but I didn’t feel like they were used most of the time. For the clean freaks, the place may not be super clean but it was more than acceptable in my opinion. It’s a few minutes walk to the Chinatown so if that’s what you plan to visit, it’s certainly a convenient spot. Otherwise, it’s just a few stops from Yokohama station at Ishikawa-cho station which is also quite convenient. The area may be a bit shady at night but that didn’t bother me. It was pretty quiet too so I could sleep well.
Thank you very much for staying at "Yokohama Hostel Village" out of many accommodations. We would also like to thank you for your feedback regarding your stay. We will continue to work even harder to ensure that each and every customer feels relaxed. All of our staff members look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel again.
It is a cheap price range of 10,000 to 20,000 won, and it's located right in the middle of the city, with single rooms available. The home stadium of Yokohama F. Marinos, Chinatown, Motomachi, Yamate, and Yamashita Park are all within walking distance. Additionally, a little further from the nearby subway station, you can quickly reach major bustling areas like Noge, Sakuragicho, Kannai, Minatomirai, and the Yokohama Station area, making the location very convenient. If you go a bit further from Chinatown, there is Yamashita Park by the beach, where the scenery of a big city and the sea comes together beautifully, and you can also see a large bridge. If you walk straight up from the park, you'll come across parks and bustling areas along the beach that connect to the central area of Minatomirai. The price, location, and availability of single rooms make it truly excellent. The windows in the room are large, allowing for good natural light, and there is air conditioning, so it isn't hot in the summer. Please note that towels are available for a fee. The staff is also very friendly. I recommend it.
I stayed overnight during the live event. The building is old, and the walls aren't very thick, so I could hear some sounds from the neighbors, but if I could accept that for the sake of sleep, I think it's totally fine. There is also one shower on each floor, and although there are other guests to consider, it's possible to refresh myself. The room fills up when the futon is laid out, but if you think of it as just a place to sleep, it’s not a problem at all. The ability to come and go freely 24 hours a day once you check in and receive the key is also appreciated, and the checkout time of 11 AM is quite generous. I believe the room was well cleaned as well. I am the type that experiences symptoms from dust due to pollen allergies, but I didn’t have any issues. I will consider this place again when there is an event in Yokohama. Thank you very much.
I only wanted to sleep, but I preferred a private room... So I started searching and found this place, and decided to stay. The room is small, but it has a TV and a refrigerator, and it's not particularly inconvenient. The restrooms for men and women are on different floors, and in the room I stayed in (Western-style), I had to go up the stairs every time I needed to use the bathroom. The staff suggested, "Would you like to change to a Japanese-style room on the same floor as the women's restroom?" but since I preferred the Western-style room, I stayed as it was. Since I stayed for five nights, I did think... maybe it would have been better to be on the same floor. Everyone staying there was quiet, and I would like to use this place again.

“Cheap and Comfy For Single Men”
The hostel village is in the eastern part of Yokohama, it is very near Motomachi and Chinatown, there is a station only a few streets to the north so it is easy to access. The surrounding streets are a little lacking but its a short walk into the main areas. The building itself is quite old and there is no lift, the rooms are on the 4th and 5th floor so don't bring a heavy bag! The staff helped me take my suitcase up which was appreciated. The room is small but comfortable, there is a shower and toilet communally on each floor but you need to bring your own towel or rent one. Despite being non smoking (other than the stairwells) my bedding smelt of stale smoke which was a shame. Overall I had a comfortable stay and though there were some things that were lacking the price is so low that I can forgive all of it. I would add that my experience is that of a solo traveling male, I would not advise booking if either of these things were different.
